Meditation.
Where would we be with out constant reminders on our cell phones?
It was on my flight to Chicago (a few weekends ago) that I got an alert that “I have an 8 mi run tomorrow.” I knew marathon training officially began last Sunday, but I have been in the more leisurely training mindset. This may be my 11th marathon, but let me tell you… it never gets easier. There is something about the feeling of crossing that finish line that is so exhilarating and even emotion filled that keeps me coming back. Not only that, I do love the training. It gives me a purpose and is my daily “meditation.”
Meditation comes in all forms. You may not think you mediate or need to, however time to reflect on life, your emotions, and goals is crucial to living the life you have imagined for yourself. You can use yoga, a daily walk, morning coffee at a cafe by yourself. Try to find that time for yourself. You’ll only realize then what a world of a difference it can make to your overall well being. namaste.
