All the art I did for my take on the A Rook by Any Other Name challenge! It was so fun to get to develop all these alternate versions of my guy (gender neutral) 💜

Some extra tidbits about their designs/fashion thoughts below!

Antivan Crow: The canon, of course, lol. They enjoy fashion but don't get too bogged down by trends or getting overly dressed up. They also don't wear jewelry partly because they see it as a pickpocket target and partly because it just feels weird to them. They regularly wear makeup, and will go extra for special occasions.

Grey Warden: They just chop off their hair and don't wear makeup; they don't care as much about their appearance. But they do still like capes. They might start to experiment with fashion after retiring and having time to figure themself out more.

Shadow Dragon: A somewhat simpler hairstyle and a little less makeup; they're keeping things simpler to blend in, both among their adoptive father's peers and among the crowd. Also a hood and a scarf added to help obscure their identity as needed.

Mourn Watch: Living their best goth nerd life! They like to dress sharp, and actually wears jewelry. They also go a little bit more extra on their makeup because they have the time and don't typically do combat as their primary work. Also growing up around spirits, they come to understand that gender is a construct much earlier than their canon self lol.

Veil Jumper: Safety first on field work! I also color matched their scarf to the shirt I draw them in as a kid, pre-Crows; even away from their city, it's always important to them. Their vallaslin is intentionally for June, and they change their hairstyle a lot.

Lord of Fortune: Where cutting their hair short as a Crow was claiming their identity, so was growing their hair out as a Lord, after being rescued from slavers who'd keep it shaved. They also wear mementos on their person, as per Rivaini custom, including a scrap of Antivan fabric on their arm for the other half of their heritage.
