i am going to tentatively open requests (with the note that i work full-time and mostly am just here on weekends). i’m having fun writing the 21 days series but i’m also having a heck of a time keeping them short, so i thought doing some shorter request pieces would be fun too! so here’s a list of what i’ll write :)

It becomes clearer and clearer that the bigger Jimin gets, the less conventionally attractive he gets for a fat person. Not that society would ever dictate him conventionally attractive at all, not once he abandoned the notion that he needed to be thin, but where his fat was once all soft bulges and perfectly rounded curves, socially acceptable fat, lately his silhouette’s taken a turn for the flabbier.

Letting Go: Chapter 4/6

Before Jimin realizes it, it’s been a year since the last time he walked through the doors of the dance studio. A year since the last time he paid any mind to how flat his abs were or how he could limit calories that day to get the higher-ups off of his back. Sure, the decision to give up on dieting was only eight months ago, and sure, it’s only been six since the gaining got active and intentional, but the number on the scale hasn’t gone down once in a year, and for that, Jimin will celebrate.

The budding voyeuristic streak shouldn’t surprise him, not really. Not when Jimin, still just chubby, had looked at pictures of his formerly tiny waist and eaten and lazed himself fat enough to hang and quiver. Not when he looks in the mirror and thinks he could gain another 40 kilos and still not be satisfied.

“I bought a scale after I noticed the pants I bought last month were already starting to get tight.” To emphasize, Jimin hooks a thumb in his waistband, where he has to dig a bit beneath a love handle that’s only been emphasized by eating and sitting. The tip of his thumb gets pinched tight between fabric and fat. “I’ve gained thirteen kilos since the doctor’s appointment where I got scolded for gaining ten.”
