What is Troi Serial Plug-in?
Troi Serial Plug-in gives FileMaker Pro easy and powerful access to external devices with a serial interface:
Read from and write to the (virtual) serial ports of the computer directly from FileMaker Pro without the need of a separate application. Native FileMaker script triggering, to get incoming data into the database. "Serial_Control" function to temporarily suspend the incoming data stream and resume it when you are interested in the data. "Wait for Match" function to wait for a specific text before triggering. The possibility to open an unlimited number of serial ports and to trigger different scripts for different ports.
Easy integration of weighing scales with FileMaker
Our customer Claus Lavendt of DataManix.com made a video demonstrating how to connect FileMaker Pro to a weighing scale. The video shows how you can automatically store the readings from a weighing scale in your FileMaker database with the help of Troi Serial Plug-in. "This plugin is great and very stable", Claus said. What is new in version 4.5.1?
Version 4.5.1 is a maintenance update. In this version we fixed a bug in the Serial_Receive function, where in some cases not all data would be returned directly. We also updated the code in several places to make the plug-in more robust and made several small improvements to the example files.

Troi Dialog Plug-in 6.5.1 for FileMaker Pro
Updated scriptable dialog plug-in for FileMaker Pro 15 improves ListDialog function
Today we updated Troi Dialog Plug-in 6.5.1 for #FileMaker Pro 15, which adds the -ExtraLineHeight switch to the ListDialog function. This switch allows you to give extra height to list items, so they look better on hi-resolution displays. We also fixed a possible interference with other plug-ins, which could cause the registration to fail.

What is new in version 8.6.1?
Version 8.6.1 is a maintenance update of our plug-in for manipulating external files and folders directly from FileMaker Pro. In this version we improved the handling on Windows of certain ZIP files with the TrFile_UnZIP function. This version also improves parsing newer PDF versions, like PDF 1.7 with the TrFile_MetaData( "-GetPDFDescription") function. On MacOS X the TrFile_MetaData( "-GetMovieDescription") function now returns timecode data for movies. Several other functions were improved as well and we fixed some potential problems with the DragAndDrop function on macOS X.

Updated text manipulation plug-in for FileMaker Pro 15 adds compatibility with FileMaker Cloud.
October 27, 2016, Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands--Troi Automatisering today announced the availability of Troi Text Plug-in 4.1 for FileMaker Cloud.
First plug-in for FileMaker Cloud
Troi Text Plug-in 4.1 is the first public plug-in that can run in FileMaker Cloud, the cloud-based platform for managing and running custom apps of FileMaker Inc. Troi Text Plug-in can easily be installed with a script to FileMaker Cloud, providing easy acces to the power of its text manipulation functions to developers and organizations.

What is Troi Text Plug-in?
Troi Text Plug-in is a powerful tool for for dealing efficiently with text in your FileMaker Pro database. It adds the following functions to FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Cloud:
Parse XML text into fields
Combine sets from 2 text fields:
get all lines that are the same
get all lines that differ
and other combinations
Get (unique) lines and sort words and lines
Customize spell checking*
* currently not available on FileMaker Cloud
What is new in version 4.1?
Version 4.1 is compatible with FileMaker Cloud: you can now install Troi Text Plug-in on FileMaker Cloud and run its functions on the FileMaker Cloud server. We have created a new example file, which demonstrates how to perform the functions of the plug-in on FileMaker Cloud.
Testing in the cloud
The plug-in is fully functional in demo mode, but will stop working after two hours. We added a new switch to the TrText_Version function, which allows you to test the plug-in for two hours more, after the initial two hour period. After 12 hours the demo time is automatically reset, and you can continue testing the plug-in.
To register the plug-in on FileMaker Cloud you need a Server/Web license.

What is Troi Encryptor Plug-in?
Troi Encryptor Plug-in is a very powerful tool for securing your FileMaker data, exporting or emailing your data without risk and importing safely back into FileMaker. All from within FileMaker you can:
encrypt text or container fields, using the powerful 256-bit AES encryption scheme, so that your sensitive data is secure
export encrypted data that can be sent safely across internet, for example via email. No risk that someone will read or change the data while in transit

What is Troi Activator Plug-in?
Troi Activator Plug-in is a very powerful tool for triggering scripts across the network, even over internet. All from within FileMaker you can:
trigger a FileMaker script on a different client computer
trigger a FileMaker script over internet
run a script and send data to a different FileMaker application, all in the background
use the built-in security to prevent unauthorized triggering
send a number (e.g. a record ID) and a long text with the trigger
