I want to see Satoshi and Skye kiss so badly. /u\
Me too anon, me too.
Just so you know, I moved back to a single blog Here, so any future development will be there.
If you can use Wave, does that mean you can see ghosts and/or spirits?
“I... don’t know. I admit I haven’t see any ghosts or spirits yet; but I can’t say either if it’s impossible for me. I’m still learning to handle sensing the Wave of those who are alive, so... Maybe one day.”
(Anon, suddenly I love the idea of Sato able to do so. More angst material too, because imagine him either seeing people he might know, or being overwhelmed.)
(Also, Satoshi (TRSatoshi and his other verses) moved back to a single blog, here! :))
Gift for Christmas: Skye
“Satoshi-!” Skye greeted right back, quickly bookmarking, and closing the book he had been reading. Beside him, Pika, who had been curled up against her trainer’s side, sat up, and waved a brown paw in Satoshi’s direction. Before Skye stumbled to his feet, he muttered something into Pika’s ear, and gently prompted her to stand with a pat on the back. The older mouse smiled up at him, and swiftly trotted away.
The breeder did his best to stuff his book into the big pocket on the front of his overalls, but the top of said book poked out, which must have made him look pretty silly. Oh well, it’s not like he could put it anywhere else. If he put it on the ground, a Pokémon might decide to steal it.
Sighing, Skye looked up at Satoshi, and waved back. “Ehe, happy new year! …huh? U-uh, yae didnae need tae come back so soon if yae just got allowed oot!” The brunet frowned at his friend’s tone of voice, unsure if he should ask about how his time during the holidays had been.
Satoshi tilted his head slightly at Skye's antics, he had been waving back at Pika so he noticed the moment his friend murmured something. He might have missed something like this in the past, but well-he had been trained to see as much as he could.
"What are you saying? I couldn't think of anything but come here as soon as I could." Oh Satoshi, innocently speaking out this. "Did you have a nice time?"
One of his hand still stayed in his jacket, fingers feeling his gift. He felt eager to give it, but first he wanted to hear about how Skye had been doing.
I don't understand why you encouraged a girl to go and get her chest ¨corrected¨ like you did. Just because she said she was a he, just don't make her one! Getting her breasts altered isn't going to change a thing!! All she did was corrupt her femininity and turn her into nothing short of a freak.
"… Excuse me?"
There was fury, full of fire and violent and shouts. And then there was false calmness, cold and a whole new level of wrath. The calm before the storm, and the one form of Satoshi’s anger to truly fear.
"First off, never, ever again call Skye a ‘she’. He is not a girl. It is because he said he was a boy that you should consider him as such. When someone is born with a malformation, everyone is compassionate and hopes for them a surgery exist to help them. Why are you treating this differently?”
He had hissed the last few words. His eyes flashed once, and one would wonder how he even stayed in control. “You are wrong if you think nature is without fault. You are wrong if you think we are always born as we should be. Skye is a boy in his heart, his mind and his soul. But just like malformation happen, he was born with the wrong body.”
And then his voice raised as he continued talking. “Who are you to say what is inside Skye’s heart? Were you the one who grew up feeling so wrong because your body wasn’t right? No. So don’t even dare speak for Skye.”
Satoshi jabbed a finger toward the stranger, then away. “If you have nothing more to say than apology, leave. You would do well not to make me any more furious. Skye has been hurt enough in the past, he suffered enough thinking of what he could do. He’s been so, so brave to finally take the surgery. Don’t ever, ever again insult his bravery in front of me.”
"Or, Arceus forbid, in front of him. The world would be too small to hide you from me."
What would you do if one day, Sakaki ordered you to come to his office but when you get there, he throws a beaten up Skye at your feet, then telling you he knew exactly where you always ran off to?
Frozen, Satoshi only stared at the stranger. The simple idea scared him, no, he would go as far as say it terrified him. And he was no stranger to the idea. How many times had he laid in his bed, lost and guilty?
How many time had he ignored the silent tears as he wondered if each of his visit would not be the fated one? The one where Sakaki fout out?
And what if Sakaki already knew? What if he tolerated it, but one more visit, and the Rocket Boss decided it had been enough?
"I don’t know." Satoshi finally replied. "I tell myself it should be the last time, the last visit to Skye. I-I know I’m putting him in danger." He looked away. "I’m being selfish. I’ve sacrified so much to keep my Pokemon, my friends and family safe. But I can’t-" He breathed out, frowning as if unhappy at himself that his voice caught in his throat. "I want to protect Skye so much, but I’m not sure… that I’ll stay sane if I don’t have him."
"I’ve realized now, that he talked me out of fully giving up. If I could not see him again… I’m not sure I wouldn’t become what Sakaki wants of me. And if Sakaki ever hurt Skye… I’m not sure I would be able to think."
As if proving his words, his fists clenched. “I’d like to say I’ll do what is best for everyone. Ask for Skye to be left alone and that I wouldn’t see him again. But I might-If I got angry enough, I wouldn’t think of anyone safety. I would just think of taking down Sakaki before he can hurt my Pokemon or Skye.”
Satoshi ignored the quiet voice in his mind that told him he would do so much more than just knock Sakaki out. He knew it already, and more than anything, it was what really terrified him.
Satoshi had already changed, and he had no wish to be in a situation where everyone could see how much.
And especially not Skye.
Skye’s face didn’t change whatsoever when Satoshi promised him that he will be careful. He felt as if the Rocket had said it a little too quick. Great, now he’s going to keep on worrying now. Not like he wasn’t going to stop worrying about Satoshi anyhow. That mystery injury isn’t going to leave his head. He wanted to know what the heck Satoshi was hiding from him.
The breeder shifted uncomfortably, though that was put to a stop when Satoshi brought him into a one-armed hug and messed up his hair. “H-hey-!” He tried to wriggle out of the taller male’s grasp, but he stopped and sighed. He might end up hurting Satoshi if he keeps on struggling.
“A-ah cannae help it…” he whined, looking downward towards Satoshi’s stomach. “…yir hurt.”
Satoshi stopped his movement as he noticed how Skye stopped struggling, and where he looked. Satoshi mirrored the older male, glancing down at his stomach while keeping an arm around his friend's shoulders.
The teen was contemplative, and eventually, a sigh passed his lips. "It's being taken care of. I'm being careful too, I can assure you I avoid it to hurt as much I can. It's not like it can open and bleed though. Really, all I need is to make sure nothing press on it. And I've been successful so far."
So far, Satoshi had been successful in not saying the wound was a brand, too.
Not having your dominant arm being able to perform it’s duty, wasn’t fun at all. He’d never understand why those kids in his class all the way back when he was a child were so proud of have casts to show off. Yeah, Skye can totally see the appeal now. Not.
He’s actually pretty grumpy over having the thing, if Satoshi couldn’t tell already.
“Well, of course ah’m gonna be careful. Ah seriously don’t wanna feel dat much pain again so soon. If no ever. After yir bone is healed, it’s still weak, so ah’m gonna be takin’ it easy until aroon’ my birthday. ‘N dat’s at da end eh next February, so ah’ll be careful fur a long time…”
Even with him acting rather casual about breaking an arm for the first time in his life, he’s still extremely annoyed how useless he’s become in one incident. He was told not to do no ranch work except for egg duty or sitting in the front house because his parents were worried he would end up with his left arm following it’s sibling limb’s example and break also.
Satoshi could see, and hear, how grumpy Skye was. "I can guess." He paused, his eyes widening a bit as he took the informations. "Wow... It really needs a long time..." Of course he knew broken bone did not heal in one day, but this was more than he expected. "Does this mean you can't do certain work?"
The answer felt obvious, but it seemed his worry meant he wanted to know all he could about Skye's condition. Just watch as he might even attempt to come more often. Give company or even help out.
Yeah, Sora carried your sorry ass all the way from the locker room to your private quarters. You better be grateful, you absolute nuisance. Sora growled down at his partner before pointing his nose up, looking away from him.
“Yir no a damn computer dat needed rebootin’.” What the hell did Satoshi think he was? A computer that randomly blue screened? That…gave Sora the mental image of Satoshi in that locker room, doing whatever. Then, suddenly, his eyes flash blue and down he went, out cold.
…that’s pretty funny. Wait, he still needed to ask more questions. “Yir no gonna conk oot oon me, ir yae? Ah’ve been bloody sittin’ here since ah put yae in here waitin’ fur yae tae wake up so ah know yae didnae end up goin’ intae a coma ‘r somethin’.” Sora, admit you were worried and be done with it.
The idea of being a computer needing to reboot both amused and embarrassed Satoshi. He himself had a fun mental image, except the second after he realized it was not so far from the truth. With how his Wave had acted, he might as well consider he had glitched earlier.
Satoshi smiled at Sora next, moving to sit a bit but soon deciding to stay laying as he felt exhausted. "I won't." He assured. "I just... might need to be more careful." He frowned slightly. "I underestimate how much my Wave needs..."
Satoshi, will you admit already you underestimate how much you could do without proper sleep and food?
If Satoshi does end up walking to the ranch, he’s gonna find a rather tired-looking, but appropriately dressed Skye hunched over the fencing, staring out into nothing. Every ten seconds or so, his head drops for a moment as if he’s ready to fall asleep, but, he snaps it right back up.
Skye has managed to get so worked up, and worried about his upcoming surgery, he has lost a lot of sleep in the past couple of days, and he’s exhausted, and completely out of it.
Oh, hell with it. He's going to see Skye.
Satoshi's steps turned confident as he took for good the direction of the ranch. He felt a presence poke at his mind, and with a smile he tapped a hidden Pokeball on his belt. A second later, Ciel curled into his arms.
She too wanted to see the one that had hatched her. She knew from Satoshi about Skye's wish to have a surgery, and had insisted to come with her Trainer the next time he might visit Skye.
Talking of Skye... "There, Satoshi. And Arceus, I think you made a good choice."
Satoshi mentally agreed, eyes softening at Skye's obvious exhaustion. "Hello Skye!" He greeted with a small smile, resting on the other side of the fence. He also poked Skye's side once, not harshly though.
Just enough to go with the small mischief in his eyes. He was here to cheer Skye, and he wouldn't leave until he could see a genuine smile and a more relaxed look.
Gift for Christmas: Skye
"Skye." Satoshi greeted. It had been a bit too long since he had seen his friend, the last time being when he learned Skye would finally be able to have his surgery.
Christmas had passed since then, and he had wished he could have spend it with Skye. But he had to stay in Headquarters, and he was not sure he would have handled it. He had wanted to hide on Christmas, and he did stay a long time in his room.
Amazingly enough, Sakaki had been the one to drag him out. Well, he had said he needed Satoshi to eat and stay healthy as he would go for an important mission soon, but still...
In any case, Satoshi was there now, a small wrapped box in his jacket pocket. He waved his hand at Skye, keeping the other one in his pocket to prevent the box from falling. "Happy new year!"
"I'm sorry I didn't come for a while, but I couldn't leave Headquarter. Apparently, Sakaki guessed I might not return, if I had a taste of freedom during the holidays." And something in his tone suggested Sakaki might not have been wrong. Which would have been bad for his trapped Pokemon, of course. "But now the schedule is back to normal, so I took the first occasion to come."
Gift for Christmas: Sora
Satoshi left the scene of the 'crime' with contentment, a small surge of Wave making sure only the owner of the locker he just left a wrapped box in could open said locker.
Satoshi had no wish for anyone else but Sora to find his gift, after all. He would have given it himself, but recently, things had been... cold between them. It had been very recent the night Sora discovered Satoshi knew about his secret, and the youngest teen knew he was still not forgiven.
Satoshi knew his partner needed both time and space. It hurt, but he knew it was necessary. He had made a mistake, had assumed too much certain things. He hoped dearly he could be forgiven, or at least given a chance to restart their forming friendship.
However, for now all he could do was leave a small pendant in Sora's locker as a Christmas gift. The chain was simple, and a small gem hang from it. The light blue color of it was very similar to the one of Satoshi's Wave, and for a reason.
As his small note explained, Satoshi had left a part of his Wave in the gem. He had a lot of trouble managing to do this, but it was worth it. The part of his Wave had become independant, so Satoshi could not access or feel it. But the one thing the gem would do was simple.
Protect. The pendant was Satoshi's version of a protective charm. It could not do a lot of big things, but making Sora feel better or make a small shield?
That it could do. In truth, the pendant would also recharged when it was close enough to Satoshi, but considering Sora and he lived in the same building, it would not be hard to recharge.
Well, except for the next few days-but Satoshi had put extra Wave in it. Because he was needed for a mission, one he was doing alone. He could have taken Sora with him, but the mission might be dangerous, and Satoshi felt it was too soon to force Sora to stay close to him for too long.
And so, the gift waiting for Sora, Satoshi took a small group of Grunts and left Headquarters.
Stay safe until I come back, Sora.
How are you going to spend Christmas this year?
"… Apparently, Team Rocket lets members spend Christmas with their family, if they deserve it. For those that stay at HQ, they don’t have missions, and there’s a banquet all day, though it’s still expected we train for a bit at some point."
"Of course, I’m one of those member that stay at HQ. I’m a special case after all, and leaving to see my family is out of the question. I can’t leave HQ either, so even if there were people I wanted to see, I can’t."
"And in all honesty… I’m almost tempted to say Sakaki is giving me a favor. I’m not sure what would hurt most: staying in HQ for Christmas, or seeing what I don’t have anymore?"
"H-hey, don’t stare at me like dat-!" Skye is suddenly regretting that he looked up his family tree, he really is. "A-ah’m sure a-ah read it wrong! Ah c-canne be royalty! Ahah…"
After a good look of said family tree-
"Pretty sure you've got royal blood in you. Holy Arceus. Can I nickname you Prince Skye now?"
"Look at your face!" - TR!Satoshi [I feel this is gonna end badly bUT WHY NOT]
58: Turning out to secretly be royalty
"Ah’m just as shocked as yae ir, dude!!"
Too bad Satoshi is the silent kind of shock.
And that might be awe there. The holy-arceus-my-best-friend-is-royalty king of awe.
Skye awkwardly fiddled with Eevee’s Pokéball and he kept a hold on it, even when Satoshi had started to reach out for it. His anxiety-ridden mind was quickly starting to tell him that this whole thing was a bad idea. Satoshi will get into trouble if he has a new Pokémon. The little one will suffer.
Eevee, on the other hand, happily hopped on her paws, barking cheerfully. ▼;Okay! I’m gonna be on ma best behaviour, Mister Sato-;▼ she bit her tongue. ▼;uh, Satoshi.;▼ She butted her head into the teen’s side before looking up at him expectantly.
▼;Now, you get ta name me! Skye said that I’d get a name when I’m adopted ‘n you’re adoptin’ me! So, you can name me somethin’ cool!;▼
Satoshi had been too focused on feeling happy to receive Eevee to notice Skye's nervousness, but after sending a grateful glance he had seen the signs. Satoshi's own mind reminded him he would need to be careful to protect Eevee; and he flashed a reassuring smile at Skye.
Eevee would be fine, of that he would make sure.
Satoshi laughed slightly at almost being called Mister, and he made a squeak at being head-butted. He ruffled Eevee's head in return, then paused at the statement he should name her.
Except, he had never been that good at finding a name, part of the reason he never nicknamed his Pokemon. He had always been able to recognize his own Pokemon, and in all honesty, he wasn't sure he would be creative enough to name everyone.
But Eevee was a special case. He had not often been given a Pokemon, and considering his situation... She was very welcomed. He felt very grateful to Skye. "Sky..." He mumbled, too low to be heard.
Then, "Ciel!" Satoshi grinned, not really mindful of the small accent that slipped into the word. "It's French for Sky. Do you like it?"
And Satoshi was not only asking Eevee, if his brief glance at his friend was any indication.
He's wandering the forest, very tempted to go visit Skye. He's been so worried since the last time he's seen his friend, and wonders if Skye breached the subject of the surgery to his parents.
He's closer to the ranch than he thinks, but he's too lost in his thoughts to notice.
Would you ever make love to your crush?
"What is this question?’ Satoshi squeaked out, his voice going into quite a high pitch.
Enough that he coughed before talking again. “I guess it depends on my crush’s will? I don’t think it’s necessary, but if we both want it, I wouldn’t mind.” He scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed. “It’s one kind of showing love after all, right?”
