Tianna Phillips has been missing since June 13th, 2018. The 25 year-old woman was last seen in Berwick, Ohio. Tianna reportedly left her ex-boyfriend’s residence in Berwick at some point between 11:00 PM and 12:30 AM and never returned home. She has never been seen or heard from again.

Tianna left behind two young sons who are now in the care of a relative. It was quite uncharacteristic for her to be out-of-touch with her loved ones, despite some rumors that she left on her own accord. Tianna’s social media presence completely stopped after her disappearance, but she was previously quite active on Facebook. In fact, just hours before she vanished, Tianna posted the following on her Facebook page: “FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW… ME AND SCOTT ARE NOT TOGETHER HE THREW ME OUT… WE ARE BROKE UP AND THATS HOW ITS GOING TO STAY….”

After Tianna was reported missing, people began commenting on that final Facebook post. Several commenters asked if her ex-boyfriend Scott had been investigated. Some replied stating that Scott was cooperating with the investigation, but there were still some commenters who have questioned whether or not that was true. Other commenters on the post indicated that Tianna might have been avoiding her family. Her family denied this and believed she was harmed. Nearly three years later, an arrest would be made that would disprove not only the rumor that Tianna’s ex was involved, but also the rumor that she was hiding from her family.

Nishan Huff was only 23 years old when she was murdered inside her Greenville County, South Carolina residence on June 7th, 2006. 

At the time of her death, the young woman lived with her boyfriend in the Boulder Creek Apartments on Furman Hall Road. Reports state that Nishan's boyfriend left their home between 3:30-4:00 PM on the day of the murder. When he later returned, he found Nishan's body. She had been shot to death.

Early into the investigation, it was reported that several leads were being followed. After that, though, the case seemingly went cold. Years passed without any updates, until finally, in June 2022, a break in the case was announced. Frank Rozier (53) and Brittany Nicole Goldsmith (38) had both been arrested and charged in connection to Nishan's murder. 

At the time of their arrests, it was announced that Rozier faced charges for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Goldsmith faced charges for accessory after the fact. Investigators stated that they "re-interviewed existing witnesses and newly developed witnesses, which resulted in new information leading to the probable cause needed to charge Rozier and Goldsmith with murder."

While it's believed that Nishan and Rozier knew each other, a motive for the killing has not been disclosed. Detectives stated the motive was still being investigated at the time the charges were filed. However, months later, in March 2023, it was announced that the charges against Rozier and Goldsmith were dropped. It was noted that there was not enough evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. The case was then handed back to law enforcement; there is a chance that Rozier and Goldsmith could be charged again in the future if more evidence is discovered. 

Since then, no further updates or information has been provided about Nishan's case. As of today, it is considered unsolved - and there is still a monetary reward available for any information that could lead to the prosecution of Nishan's killer(s). If you have any information that could help the investigation, please submit a tip.

The final two photographs of 21 year-old Sarah Goode, posted to her Instagram account on June 6th, 2014.

On that evening, Sarah left her 4 year-old daughter with her mother so she could attend a party in Medford, New York. While there, she posted the above picture (on the right) of her smiling and enjoying the party with her friends. It was typical for Sarah and her friends to be out all night when they got together, so Sarah’s mother initially did not worry when she did not return home that night. However, when Sarah failed to show up at her nephew’s birthday party the next day, her family knew something was amiss. After an unsuccessful search for her, Sarah’s family reported her missing on June 8th, 2014.

Two days later, Sarah’s car was found abandoned about a mile from her home. Inside of it, investigators spotted a bloody handprint and numerous other blood stains. This discovery prompted a massive search by volunteers in the surrounding area. On the evening of June 12th, 2014, a searcher found Sarah’s half-naked body in a wooded area located less than a mile away. An autopsy revealed that she had been raped and stabbed over forty times.

Over a month later, 19 year-old Dante Taylor was arrested and charged with raping and murdering Sarah. Taylor attended that same party in Medford on the night of June 6th, and cell phone records revealed that he and Sarah had been communicating via calls and texts earlier that day. Additionally, forensic testing revealed that the bloody handprint in Sarah’s car belonged to Taylor.

It is believed that Sarah’s untimely death was the result of a sexually motivated attack. At the trial, the prosecution said that Taylor was angry that night because Sarah had rejected his sexual advances. As a result, Taylor dragged Sarah out to the woods, raped her, beat her so hard that a piece of metal was found lodged in her skull, and stabbed her to death. The jury found Taylor guilty on all counts and he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In October 2017, he was found dead in his jail cell. He reportedly died by suicide.

Unique Harris was 24 years old when she disappeared without a trace on October 9th, 2010. The previous evening, Unique and her two young sons were spending time with Unique’s cousin, Tiffanee, and Tiffanee’s 9-year-old daughter at Unique’s apartment in southeast Washington, DC. Tiffanee later returned to her home on the other side of town, but her daughter remained at Unique’s apartment for a sleepover. Unique watched a movie with the children before tucking them into bed.

Around 9am the next morning, Tiffanee received a phone call from her 9-year-old daughter, who was frightened because she and the other children were unable to find Unique. Tiffanee assumed Unique had simply run out to the corner store and told her daughter not to worry. She was unable to get a ride over to Unique’s apartment at the time, but she kept in touch with her daughter and Unique’s children via phone throughout the entire day. When she finally was able to get to Unique’s apartment, she found the children there alone with absolutely no sign of Unique anywhere. 

Various friends and family members had not heard from Unique at all that day either. Unique’s loved ones immediately began to fear that she stepped out for a quick errand and then was attacked or mugged. However, when the family searched Unique’s apartment, they found her prescription eyeglasses folded on her bed. Unique was nearly blind without her glasses, and it is unlikely that she would voluntarily leave home without them. After this discovery, Unique’s family called the police to report her missing.

When police arrived on the scene, it was discovered that Unique also left behind her purse, identification, and wallet. Oddly enough, the only items missing from her apartment were her cell phone and apartment keys. Additionally, there were no signs of a struggle or forced entry in the apartment, and the children said they did not see or hear anything unusual during the night. 

Unique’s final cell phone activity was a phone call at 3am; the phone has either died or been turned off since then. Naturally, police looked at Unique’s ex-boyfriend/father of her children as a potential suspect, but he passed a polygraph and was eventually ruled out. Police questioned Unique’s current boyfriend as well, and he was also ultimately cleared.

Unique had no history of drug abuse, nor did her loved ones known about any family/relationship issues at the time of her disappearance. Years went by without any updates in the case. A decade would pass before any break was publicly announced.

Jasmaine Smith was last seen by her family on June 5th, 2015. That day, 22-year-old Jasmaine joined her family at their home in Farrell, Pennsylvania to celebrate her younger sister’s high school graduation. Jasmaine’s loved ones have not seen or heard from her since she left the party, and it is unknown if she ever made it back to her own home in Warren, Ohio. It is uncharacteristic of Jasmaine to be out of touch with her family, and they finally reported her missing on June 29th after weeks of being unable to get ahold of her.

A month and a half after Jasmaine vanished, another young girl from Warren disappeared: 18-year-old Alesha Bell. Just a few weeks later, Alesha’s remains were found at the home of 40-year-old James Brooks, a man who was known to be running a drug and sex trafficking ring. Jasmaine’s family said that Jasmaine knew Brooks, and they think it is possible that he is involved in her disappearance. Brooks later pleaded guilty to charges related to Alesha’s death—a write up on her case can be found here. Brooks has never been charged in relation to Jasmaine’s disappearance, however Jasmaine’s family fears she may have fallen victim to his sex trafficking ring. Authorities also believe that foul play was involved in her case.

Lauren Spierer vanished at the age of 20 during the early morning hours of June 3rd, 2011. She remains missing to this day. Lauren was born and raised in Scarsdale, New York. At the time of her disappearance, she was a student at Indiana University and was living in Bloomington, Indiana. Lauren spent the evening of June 2nd and the early morning hours of June 3rd drinking and partying with her friends. She was reportedly last seen leaving her friend Jay Rosenbaum’s apartment around 4:30 AM. Lauren never made it back to her own apartment and was never seen or heard from again. There are many different reported witnesses/friends who saw and spoke to Lauren before she vanished. It was noted by many different people that Lauren was noticeably intoxicated in the hours leading up to her disappearance. She reportedly drank heavily that night, and had also possibly snorted cocaine and/or pills. Throughout the night, Lauren lost her shoes, phone, purse, and keys. She also reportedly fell a few times and obtained bruises on her face and body. This information has been provided to investigators by the various witnesses/friends who saw her that night. From this information, investigators have been able to compile a detailed timeline of the events leading up to her disappearance. Despite this timeline, Lauren’s fate remains a mystery. However, the timeline has lead a few theories about what might have happened.

Melvia Roarx vanished at the age of 28 on June 4th, 2013. She left her Horse Branch, Kentucky home that day to go to a convenience store to buy drinks and cigarettes. Surveillance cameras captured Melvia arriving at the store, making purchases, and then leaving. Her car was headed in the direction of her home when she left the store, but unfortunately she never made it home. Melvia has never been seen or heard from again.

Melvia’s car was later found 80 miles away, at a gas station in Bullitt County, Kentucky. There was no sign of her at the scene, and her family members cannot think of a reason that Melvia would drive there. However, they did notice that the car’s driver seat was pushed all the way back–indicating that somebody other than Melvia drove the car last.

Melvia left behind four children, which is uncharacteristic of her. Her family members do not believe she is missing on her own accord. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. If you have any information that could lead to Melvia’s whereabouts, please contact 270-259-3024. [x]

Marc Fullerton has been missing since June 3rd, 2020. The then-35-year-old was last seen at his girlfriend’s residence in Braggadocio, Missouri. According to his girlfriend, Marc walked away from the house while she was in the bathroom. He has never been seen or heard from again. Marc’s family has questioned his girlfriend’s version of events from the beginning. It is not believed that Marc would stay out-of-touch with his children and his other family members. At the time of his disappearance, he was not wearing shoes or a t-shirt, making him ill-equipped to travel very far on foot. Marc’s truck, wallet, cell phone, and dentures were all left behind at his girlfriend’s house. Additionally, a cross necklace that he reportedly never removed was found broken on his girlfriend’s floor. Certain reports state that Marc was planning to end his relationship with his girlfriend prior to his disappearance - which makes her version of events seem even more suspicious. Both Marc’s loved ones and locals in Pemiscot County have criticized the investigative efforts in Marc’s case. Posts on a Facebook page dedicated to Marc’s disappearance indicate that blood was found in his girlfriend’s house, but it appears that the residence was not marked as a crime scene. Certain posts also indicate that there might have been other people in the house at the time of Marc’s disappearance but said people have not been publicly identified. Marc’s loved ones believe he was murdered, and it is unclear why police have not publicly identified any suspects. Marc remains missing today. Amanda DeGuio was last seen by her loved ones in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania on June 3rd, 2014. Her family is still searching for her to this day. Amanda was only 24 years-old at the time she vanished. In the years leading up to her disappearance, Amanda struggled with drug addiction. According to her family, she grew addicted to painkillers after the birth of her first child. Eventually, she began using heroin and working as a prostitute as well. However, Amanda remained close to her family and frequently checked in on her two children. In fact, shortly before her disappearance, Amanda and her family members had taken a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It appeared that she was sober during the trip. Amanda vanished just days after they returned to Drexel Hill. On the afternoon of June 3rd, 2014, Amanda’s mother Joanna DeGuio returned home from work only to find an empty house. Amanda was not there as expected, but her cell phone, credit cards, and other personal belongings were still inside the house. After days passed without any sign of her, Amanda’s loved ones began to fear she had fallen back into her drug habits. Some reports state that Amanda allegedly picked up someone else’s Oxycontin prescription at a local pharmacy about a week after she was last seen at her family’s house. As a result, police issued a warrant for Amanda’s arrest for identity theft and receiving stolen property. Amanda’s family members did not report her missing until August 27th, 2014. Amanda had disappeared for days at a time in the past, and after the warrant for her arrest was issued, many thought she was hiding out from police. After nearly 3 months passed without any contact, Amanda’s loved ones began to fear she had come to harm. Once police began to investigate, they announced that they also believed that Amanda met with foul play. Eventually, the FBI became involved in the search for Amanda as well. Over the years, investigators have received numerous tips, but unfortunately none of them have panned out. Amanda remains missing today, and her case remains open. Anita Knutson (18) was brutally murdered inside her own apartment on June 3rd, 2007. Anita was a freshman at Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota at the time of her death. She lived with a roommate, Nichole Thomas, near campus. Despite being away at school, Anita she always stayed in touch with her family. On June 4th, 2007, Anita’s father grew worried after learning she had not contacted any of her siblings or anyone else in her family for over a day. He had been told that Anita’s roommate was out of town for the weekend. Anita’s father subsequently went to her apartment building and asked her apartment’s manager to let him into the apartment. The manager let him in, and when he entered the apartment, Anita’s father found a horrific scene. Anita was dead, she had been stabbed to death in her own bedroom.

It initially appeared that Anita was killed by someone who had broken into her home. The apartment’s front door was locked, but the screen on Anita’s bedroom window had been slashed and pushed out of the frame—suggesting that the killer had entered through said window. It also appeared that Anita had been deceased for about a day before she was discovered. Police initially had many leads to follow. They investigated apartment maintenance workers, Anita’s friends from school, and various people who were seen in the area around the time of Anita’s murder. Despite this, detectives were unable to gather enough evidence for an arrest for several years. Finally, in March 2022, a break was made in the case. On March 16th, 2022, the Minot Police Department announced that they had arrested Anita’s roommate from 2007 - Nichole - for Anita’s murder. Since the crime, Nichole had married and was now known as Nichole Rice.

The arrest of Nichole appeared to be the beginning of the road to justice for Anita and her loved ones. Unfortunately, the case went in a different direction during Nichole Rice’s trial.

Destiny Weaver was found murdered inside her car on June 3rd, 2017. The 25-year-old lived in Kansas City, Missouri at the time of her death. Destiny worked as a youth counselor and also had her own business called Fonk’d OWT Tees and Wigz Split Hair Designs. Many knew Destiny as a smart and kind young woman. She maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her years in college and had a bright future in front of her. Destiny’s loved ones are puzzled by her murder, and a motive remains unclear.

On the evening of June 3rd, two women were walking around Tower Park in the Waldo neighborhood when they noticed a woman–later identified as Destiny–slumped over inside a parked Kia Soul. One of the women actually recognized Destiny from the day before. The car had been parked in the exact same spot, and Destiny had been sitting in the car smoking a cigarette. It is believed that Destiny was killed a short time after she was spotted that afternoon. Once police arrived on the scene, they determined that Destiny died from a gunshot wound to the head. She had been dead for an entire day before she was spotted.

To this day, Destiny’s killer remains unknown. According to her mother, Destiny did not have any known enemies. In 2017, Destiny’s mother told reporters, “I just feel like whoever did this was someone probably close to her. Why I say that is because my daughter was very particular who she was around, who she hung with, who she built a relationship with.” It seems likely that police have interviewed those who were in her life at the time of her death, but an arrest has still not been made. Investigators have also not publicly announced any suspects or persons of interest.

A nonprofit organization has been created in Destiny’s memory called Justice 4 Destiny Inc. The purpose of the organization is to help the loved ones of homicide victims by sharing their stories and providing resources. A Facebook page for the nonprofit can be found here.

The evening of June 2nd, 2007 began as a typical night for 17 year-old Kelsey Smith. The teen went to a local Target store in Overland Park, Kansas shortly before 7pm that evening to buy an anniversary gift for her boyfriend. Before leaving the store, Kelsey briefly spoke with her mother on the phone. Then, Kelsey was seen in the store’s parking lot around 7:07pm. She never returned home and was reported missing by her family later that evening.

Around four hours after Kelsey was last seen leaving Target, her car was found abandoned in a Macy’s parking lot across the street. Many of her personal items–including her wallet, purse, and present she bought at Target–were left inside the car. Upon this discovery, investigators found it more and more likely that Kelsey had been abducted. 

Investigators then looked at Target’s surveillance cameras for potential evidence. In the footage, Kelsey is seen exiting the store and walking towards her car. At first glance, nothing seemed unusual–but after a second look, investigators noticed a “flash in the footage heading in the direction of Kelsey’s car.” The flash was reportedly consistent with someone running. After looking more thoroughly at the footage, it became clear that somebody had chased Kelsey and forced her inside her own car.

Justin Barnett (pictured left) was last seen at the age of 23 on June 3rd, 1995. At the time, he lived at an apartment in Birmingham, Alabama with his ex-girlfriend Sheila Horton. On the night Justin was last seen, he borrowed Sheila’s car to go meet some friends for a few drinks. At some point during the evening, Justin told his friends that he needed to meet somebody but that he would be back later. He unfortunately never returned.

Justin’s friends expected to see him at a party later that night, as he had plans to meet up with a new female friend. When he did not show up as planned, his friends made several unsuccessful attempts to get ahold of him. Justin’s friends eventually guessed that he just went home and fell asleep, but when his ex-girlfriend Sheila returned home from her own outing around 2am, Justin was not there. He was reported missing the following day.

Several days later, the car Justin had borrowed from Sheila was found abandoned in the Lakeview area. Investigators concluded that the car had been parked there very recently before it was found, because they had already searched that location and it was not parked there before. While this seemed quite suspicious, the car did not appear to provide any further clues pointing to Justin’s whereabouts.

After months passed without any trace of Justin, the case grew cold. Nearly two decades passed before an unexpected break in the case occurred. In January 2015, a man named Johnathan Abney went to the Birmingham police and told investigators that he had a secret he could no longer live with—and it involved a murder that occurred in June 1995. Johnathan was only 18 years-old at the time, and he lived with his older sister Tricia Abney (pictured right) and her boyfriend Jeff Martin in a small apartment on Sunrise Lane. He told investigators that, on the evening of June 3rd, 1995, he returned to the apartment and stumbled upon a horrific scene: a man had been murdered, and his dismembered body parts were scattered on the bathroom floor. Johnathan soon learned that the deceased man was Justin Barnett—who he had only met once before, while buying drugs at a Southside apartment.

When investigators pressed for more information, Johnathan explained that Tricia had asked him to go out that evening because she and Jeff wanted to spend some time alone together. But instead of having a romantic night, the couple lured Justin to their apartment with the intention of robbing him. The robbery went bad, and the pair ended up stabbing Justin to death before dismembering him in the bathroom. The couple enlisted Johnathan’s help in disposing of the body in Bibb County. Johnathan later parked Sheila’s car at the location where it was later found.

Johnathan worked with investigators over the next 5 months. He told them where to find Justin’s remains, but a search of the area did not recover them. Warrants for the arrests of both Tricia and Jeff were finally issued in June 2015. Tricia was apprehended first, and Jeff died by suicide shortly after her arrest. Johnathan himself was given immunity due to his cooperation with investigators.

Tricia went to trial in 2017. She was found guilty and given a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Sheila Morton (33) has been missing since June 2nd, 2014. According to her loved ones, Sheila’s behavior and personality changed drastically in the weeks leading up to her disappearance. She had recently quit a restaurant job she had for seven years, moved out of her residence, and began hanging out with an old group of friends. Additionally, the last purchase Sheila was known to make was for a 9mm handgun, which was left behind when she disappeared.

Sheila was last seen at her ex-boyfriend’s house in Center, Texas. Her ex-boyfriend stated that Sheila was drinking heavily that day, and that she was saying she was going to take their son and leave. Sheila’s ex told her that if she got into her car, he would call the police. He then brought their son inside, leaving Sheila alone outside. When he returned, Sheila was gone. Her purse and keys were found laying in the driveway, but her wallet and phone disappeared with her. He thought that Sheila had called somebody to pick her up.

Sheila’s family finally reported her missing two weeks later. Her phone was turned off the same day she vanished, and she has never been seen or heard from again. Sheila’s family members do not believe she would voluntarily leave behind her son; they believe foul play is responsible for her disappearance.

During the early-morning hours of June 1st, 2012, the New Castle County Police received a call about a young woman lying on the side of the road on Pyles Lane. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found the body of 19-year-old Kendra Dobyns. She had been shot multiple times. Kendra is originally from Elkton, Delaware. She was four months pregnant at the time of her death. When the news about Kendra’s murder first broke, the reports stated that detectives were conducting interviews and attempting to retrace Kendra’s steps on the night of her death. Since then, police have not released any further updates in the case. While police have remained quiet about the investigation, Kendra’s friends have been very open on social media about who they think killed her. Several people have posted on Facebook that they believe the father of Kendra’s unborn child is responsible for her death. Many have also placed blame upon police in Delaware for their lack of action in the case. A look into Kendra’s murder case brings to light several issues that people have with the justice system in Delaware.

Natanalie Perez has been missing since June 1st, 2012. The 19 year-old was originally from central Florida, but she had moved to Miami about six months before her disappearance. She was last seen in front of Burke’s Motel on Southwest 8th street. It was believed she was living there at the time. She reportedly never went back inside the motel and has never been seen or heard from again.

There has been very little news about Natanalie’s disappearance in the media. However, a nonprofit called the Anti-Predator Project has been working with Natanalie’s family to spread awareness about her case. The organization has provided a few more details about her disappearance as well. One of their blog posts reads, “[Natanalie] was lured to Miami from a small town in central Florida in January of 2012 with the promise of a job in the music industry. Once she arrived in Miami she was beaten, gang raped, and stripped of her identification. After that she was sold online via Backpage.com out of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach and the Hyatt in Miami. Natanalie was last seen by her boyfriend outside the Burks Motel in Miami on June 1, 2012 when she took a phone call on his cell phone, got into a mysterious car with unknown individuals and drove off. She has not been seen or heard from since. Obviously we believe that her trafficker were involved in this but due to integrity of the investigation we cannot release their names. We are looking for anyone who may know something about this case.” None of this has been confirmed by the Miami Police Department or the news media, but investigators do not believe that Natanalie is missing on her own accord.

Sarah Lindsey Rozniewski (also known as Sarah Cooper) has been missing since the spring of 2021. The then-31-year-old lived in St. Martin, Mississippi at the time of her disappearance. Sarah was reported missing to the Biloxi Police Department by a friend on March 21st, 2022. 

The friend who filed the missing person's report told police that it had been several months since any friends or family had heard from Sarah. Due to this, an exact timeline leading up to her disappearance is unknown. However, the investigation did reveal that Sarah's last bank activity occurred on May 10th, 2021 - nearly ten months before she was reported missing. 

According to MissingSippi.org, the last known sighting of Sarah occurred weeks later, on May 31st, 2021, at her apartment in St. Martin. Details about that last sighting have not been disclosed. Sarah has never been seen or heard from again.

Various comments online indicate that Sarah's sister and friends attempted to report her missing many times over the months before the police finally agreed to open her case. 

Details about the status of the investigation have been kept under wraps. The Biloxi Police were originally in charged investigating Sarah's disappearance, but it has since been passed to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
