2 Chronicles 7:14
12/27/19 // a reminder for the new year // ig
“How, then, can we find out the will of God for us in a particular situation, if neither our feelings nor our consciences can tell us with certainty? The only way is by applying the principles of the Bible to the situation. It pays, then, to know our Bible and the principles that it teaches. If we are led by feelings or inspirations or mystical experiences we shall be in a sorry mess. It is back to the Bible that we must go.”
— Paul Woolley
When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” (Mark 2:17)
It is through our broken, vulnerable, mortal ways of being that the healing power of the eternal God becomes visible to us. We are called each day to present to the Lord the whole of our lives– our joys as well as our sorrows, our successes as well as failures, our hopes as well as our fears. We are called to do so with our limited means, our stuttering words and halting expressions. In this way we will come to know in mind and heart the unceasing prayer of God’s spirit in us. Our many prayers are in fact confessions that enable us to perceive the merciful presence of God.
Henri Nouwen (via grace-after-the-fall)
Breakdowns- I learned is part of life. It is not a sign of a life breaking apart, but us being humans , feeling, thinking, growing. It is not something to loathe or avoid, but a process to go through.
As the song goes.. “someday it’s gonna make sense”.
“If you hear people from my past speak of me. Keep in mind they are speaking of a person they don’t even know any more.”

I hope there's a thing which you can place all your thoughts and just get it/them back whenever you need.
