The intimacy is what always gets me about them. They care and respect each other so so so much. They're tender with each other. They don't even chirp each other how hockey players usually do. Especially Mack always touches Will like he's a piece of delicate china. He can never be rough with him. They don't even prank each other. Their team thinks something is wrong if one shows up without the other. They'd rather spend an off night with their married teammates playing with their dogs and kids. And if they do go out, they're still attached at the hip. It took them TWO YEARS to invite each other to their hometowns in the summer. It's them going to their friends and family and saying "see? this is why San Jose is home. He makes it feel like home." It's meeting the siblings and them understanding why their brother is so happy with him. They're each other's safe space. "I trust you enough to see every side of me because I know you'd never be cruel about it". I'm just so glad they found each other.
