! synopsis- after y/n is unable to find a partner while searching through many dating apps, she finally finds a guy on a unique dating app called "I Hear You." he intrigues her with the simple message of, "Can I take you on a date?" and the overflowing chemistry forms at a jazz restaurant.

The narrow restaurant feeling smaller than it usually did, I silently waited for my date to arrive. Similarly, the restaurant also waited alongside as the waiters elegantly placed dishes; the musicians playing in the small, corner entrance of the restaurant.
After not being successful with my previous dating sites, I crossed an app called “I Hear You” that allowed musicians to gather together. Within ten minutes of customizing my bio, my dms were filled with requests.
Although everyone intrigued me, to be quite frank, amazed by the app itself, but one dm caught my eye. It wasn’t a cliché pick-up line or a dumb conversation starter. It was quite simple, “Hi. I love your interest in music. Can I take you on a date?” I couldn’t help, but feel excited about such a simple question. Knowing how modern dating sites had worked: taking at least 10 minutes to text back, ghosting others, and playing the push and pull game, I wanted to grab onto this one.
“Hi. Are you y/n?” It was him.
“Yes,” I said, getting up from my seat to give him a side hug. I could smell his cologne, an aromatic yet clean scent; his fluffy hair swaying perfectly.
“I normally arrive faster than my dates. This is the first time someone else has arrived first,” he chuckled as you both took your seats.
“Oh, this is just a normal thing for me,” I laughed it away.
He just nodded for a moment, as if he was observing my every move.
"My name is Jungwon by the way- Yang Jungwon." He introduced him. His smile lines barely showed while he smiled, suggesting that he was a rather serious man.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Y/N." I introduced myself.
"You seem quite bubbly," he said.
I couldn't help but smile at his comment, feeling both good and a bit scared. Is this a good or bad thing? I thought to myself. His strong attraction suddenly pulled me to change for this mysterious man. Did he like calmer girls? Did he like louder girls? All these questions swarmed in my head.
"I like that," his brown chocolate eyes stared at me with sincerity.
I couldn't help but to blush at him.
"Thank you," I said shyly, unable to meet his eyes back.
"I think I've seen you around campus before."
Oh, so that's where I've seen him. I thought to myself.
"You go to ---- University?" I asked.
"Yes, I do. I'm currently studying to produce and I just thought the dating app could help me meet people that were also taking it," he explained. However, it made me a bit disappointed to know that he wasn't really contacting me as a suggestive partner, but as a colleague.
"That's cool. You said dates earlier. How many friends have you made on this app?" I seriously wanted to know if he was packed with a group of girls now, knowing how good looking he was, all the girls probably wanted him.
"Not a lot to be honest. I've only dmed guys to be friends until now," he said, smiling at me.
Hello?? What did that mean??? I felt confused and flustered at his confession.
"How come?" I poked him more.
“‘Your page fits a lot of my interests.’ is what someone would say. But I dmed you because I thought you were pretty. You're my ideal type," he said, rubbing the back of his neck now.
"Oh!" I exclaimed out loud, taken aback at both the fact that he was so straight forward, but also embarrassed of my loud remark.
He chuckled at my reaction, also making me laugh with him as well. As the conversations continued to flow throughout the night with the busy restaurant dimming quieter as the hours passed, Jungwon offered to give me a ride home.
"Are you sure?" I asked. No guy had ever given me a ride home after a date. What the heck. Where did all my standards go for men??
"Yeah. It's a given. Come on," he said, opening the passenger door for me. His dark black car, clearly showing how he liked things rather neat all showed his personality.
"Thank you," I said, finally taking his offer.
I couldn't feel happy at this small moment, the silence in the hard and the pace of how fast my heart was pacing. I wanted this moment to last forever.
"We're here." I said, realizing we were in front of my apartment complex now. I unbuckled my seatbelt, making sure to take my purse as well.
"Hey, by the way," Jungwon said, softly grabbing my arm from further moving.
"Would you like to go on a second date with me next week?"
How could I say no to that good looking face with such a great personality, I thought to myself.
"Of course. We can pick the location and time together." I could feel my face beaming.
"No. No. I will pick the location and time," he ensured, patting my arm.
"Okay. We can do that," I answered naturally, as if I was an obedient dog that he had just trained. With just one date, I had known that I had fallen for his charismatic charm.

"of course i do silly."
"i remember holding your hand just like this," he said looking down at your interlocked fingers with his. "and looking at your face instead of the beach," he reminded you.
you shook your head in embarrassment. "i can't believe you," you laughed.
"and you're still beautiful," he said, stopping his tracks to take a closer look at you.
"i'll never forget our first date," heeseung said.
"you know what else i'll never forget?" you mischievously asked.
"what?" he asked, tilting his head..
"how i splashed you!!" you exclaimed, pulling him towards the ocean.
"no!!" he exclaimed back, trying to pull away, but caving in eventually.
you and heeseung continued to splash each other until you both grew tired, laying down heavily onto the cold sand.
“i know it’s hard with the kids around now, but thank you for taking me here,” you said.
“anything for you princess,” heeseung said, assuring you.
“i love you so much.” you said, holding his cheeks with your palm.
“i love you more,” heeseung said, taking your hand to his lips and kissing your palm.
"let's continue to come back when the weather is like this," heeseung said, reaching out his hand for you to grip.
you grab his hand, interlocking hands once more and look at the quiet ocean view, looking at the past, the present, and the future you'll have with him.
"let’s go to our favorite restaurant now." heeseung raised himself, helping you up afterwards, slowly walking back to the car while enjoying each moment.

You had a plan.
It was supposed to be a quiet day at the office. Fresh out of college, you found an opportunity to work at Jujutsu High as a part time secretary. The first week was a little rough, a cursed spirit had managed to infiltrate the halls on your third day and essentially destroyed your work space. Thus, causing you to move to the empty desk across from Nanami Kento, the hottest man you've ever seen. A Jujutsu Sorcerer, the man had been working at the school, exorcizing curses while mentoring future sorcerers on how to control their techniques. While you admired the man for his bravery and professionalism, you couldn't deny his attractiveness.
Even after your office was repaired, your desk remained near Nanami's, being drawn to his quiet demeanor and large stature. Step One: Invite Nanami Kento to a meal (lunch, most likely, as you only saw him during working hours). Usually, he did not like to complete more work than what was necessary. However, with the amount of forms to fill out and missions to sort through, it seemed as if the pile would never end. This added stress emanated off of him, causing tensions to increase in the already tense office. It saddened you to see him in a state of stress like this. While you two weren't the closest, you had a mutually friendly relationship. I mean, you are office-mates, after all. Besides, you had your plan.
You had just come from the teacher’s lounge after making several copies of whatever to find Nanami sorting through paperwork.
"Need some help?" You inquired
"Please," he responded, his mood softening once he sees you. Step Two was now in motion: get closer. Rather than bring a stack of papers to your desk in the opposite corner of the room, you pull up a chair to sit next to him, your thigh being near his, brushing together when you reach over for the stapler or to hand him a form.
"So, how have you been? I feel like it's been forever since we've talked." You frowned, He was taken aback by this.
"What? Of course we talk." He tried to justify his reasoning to you.
"Well not like we used to.." you trailed off, embarrassed that feelings like these were beginning to take over. It was like you two talking about work related stuff or about your favorite students at Jujutsu High, discussing feelings was a rare occurrence.
Okay, you did not have a step three. You had realized this after you found yourself leaning towards him, the desire for your lips to collide being all too strong. Kento couldn’t help but kiss you back. He broke the kiss to look at you with half-lidded eyes.
"Whatever this is, it is inappropriate and unprofessional." He tried to reason with you, yet it ended up sounding like he was trying to reason with himself.
"Then stop me" You responded. You looked into his eyes as he looked into yours. After a moment, he leaned in closer to you as you brought him back into the kiss, causing you to straddle him.
He slowly takes your hand in his. His touch was soft yet firm, showing you his gentle side while letting you know that he knows what he wants. He leads you to his desk, and slowly pushes you over its edge while planting kisses into the crook of your neck

an unbearable feeling of stuffiness filled the young airy night, with mosquitos swarming every light post on the street- leading everyone to stay at home with their air conditioners on.
especially for y/n and her guy friends; they had to blast the ac on to replace the odoriferous fume of sweat consuming the apartment.
with everyone in the building, ravenous for food, it was merely a tractable situation. once in a while when everyone agreed to meet at the same dorm room, jake would ask to order pizza. and with familiarity, everyone would settle on his request and head to the convenient store for alcohol. since finals were published and summer was finally here, they were probably going to spend more time together.
"i'm hungry," junhoo dreadfully groaned on the couch.
"should we order pizza?" jake asked with a smirk across his face, sitting next to junhoo, knowing the obvious reply.
"yeah. yeah. hurry up and order," junhoo remarked, waving his arms frantically, expressing his nonchalant yet desperate hunger. jake swiftly got his phone out to take orders.
"1 cheese, 1 pepperoni, and 1 everything?" he asked, not looking away from his screen.
"don't forget the can of coke." eunwoo noted, entering the living room with y/n.
"you guys genuinely need to take a shower," y/n scrunched her nose, interrupting the list of foods being ordered. "all i smell is sweat and it's killing me. eunwoo and i opened the ones in the rooms."
"i'll open the windows," jake said, taking initiative to y/n's complaints.
"where are the freshmen at?" junhoo asked.
"doyoon said he's coming with the rest of them in 20 minutes," y/n said, checking her phone.
"okay perfect. pizza is coming in 20. we can go get alcohol." jake said, finalizing his order.
"let's go!!!" junhoon excitedly yelled.

y/n, jake, eunwoo, and junhoon quickly got their wallets and headed to the convenience store to buy some alcohol and chips. they busily dumped in their favorite snacks and left the store happily, carefree of their problems at the moment.
y/n had a popsicle stick in her mouth, trying to eat it faster than the hot weather that was melting it, following the rest of the guys behind with jake by her side.
"wait, y/n." jake suddenly pulled y/n behind, stopping the both of them from their tracks while the others continued to walk away.
"what's wrong?" y/n asked with a puzzled look.
"i have something to tell you," he said.
"all of a sudden? okay," y/n awkwardly laughed, unsure what he'd bring up.
"this is really random timing but i felt like i should tell you today." jake began his confession. y/n stood still, listening carefully to what jake was saying, noticing his shift to a serious demeanor.
"um. i really like you. not as a friend but, you know, as a girl." jake confessed. before y/n could even comprehend what jake said, he interrupted, "but you don't have to tell me your response right now. i'll wait." the air began to feel quiet and cold. y/n's empty response left the both in an awkward situation.
"i-," before y/n could say anything, jake ran away, heading the opposite way of where both the guys and the apartment lay.
y/n felt confused. jake had just confessed and abruptly ran away. what kind of a confession was that? y/n slightly laughed with her only presence, confused yet flustered.
after y/n had walked alone back to the apartment, she realized that jake had not returned. actually, nobody had heard back from jake after the incident. even when the rest of the guys would meet, jake was nowhere to be seen.
"now that jake isn't here, we haven't eaten pizza at all" junhoo suddenly realized.
"you're right," doyoon said. "probably because y/n liked them so much," he mumbled- a bit too obvious for everyone to hear.
eunwoo batted an eye at doyoon. "oh shoot," he said slyly.
"wait what?" y/n asked.
"gosh finally. i was wondering when we were going to tell her," junhoo said, letting out a sigh while rolling his eyes.
"jake would order pizza all the time because you liked them so much. apparently you mentioned really really liking pizza during orientation or something and he remembered. what a creep."
"he was so persistent. i was kind of concerned," doyoon laughed.
"i thought we promised to keep it a secret?" eunwoo interrupted.
"oh he confessed already." a freshman butted in.
"what???" everyone yelled at once, looking at y/n for confirmation. y/n just nodded, unsure what to say.
"seriously? when?" eunwoo asked, feeling betrayed by his best friend.
"he confessed the night we went to go get alcohol and i came back alone..." y/n uttered, embarrassed to admit the situation. how could jake just run off like that?
"oh so that's why you came alone... wait- did you reject him???" junhoo assumed, not liking the silence y/n was giving.
"no. he asked to give him a response later, although i have no idea when that is." y/n said, looking away.
"and that coward just never came back to hear your response? wow." eunwoo said, even ashamed of his action.
another moment of silence filled the room. everyone had been walking on eggshells since freshman year whenever jake would mention y/n, not wanting to poke him in any way.
"well!" junhoo exclaimed. "let's have some pizza y/n likes..."

while everyone enjoyed the pizza, y/n ate the pizza with a blank expression. she was processing everything the guys had said. so jake liked y/n since orientation? wow...
y/n had decided to head to the convenient store alone to clear her head, grabbing the alcohol as well on her way. as she headed out the store, she saw a familiar figure leaning against a gated fence, staring blankly at the ground.
"jake?" y/n called out, walking towards him.
"oh hey, y/n" he replied, looking up to meet eye contact.
"omg. where were you? we were worried."
jake didn't respond. he just stayed leaning, observing every detail on y/n's face.
"i had some things to solve. sorry i couldn't reply to the group chat." he said sincerely.
"it's fine. the boys are over. let's go eat," y/n said, raising up the bag of alcohol and swinging it to show jake.
"wait," jake stopped y/n from her tracks by the wrist. he stayed silent, hoping that y/n would break it. "never mind..." he backed away, letting go of her wrist.
y/n replaced the silence by saying, "pizza sucks without you."
"what?" jake looked puzzled.
"i said pizza sucks without you…”y/n repeated herself. “and summer has been boring without you... and everything has sucked without you."
he looked shocked by y/n's response, his face turning bright red.
"let's go," y/n declared, taking jake's hand, giving him an assuring face.
"wait." jake pulled y/n by the hand, her proximity becoming closer.
"just like how much you like your pizzas, that's how much i like you." jake slowly grabbed y/n by the chin and kissed her lips.

Tears began to stroll down Heeseung's face. He never thought this day would come. But not for Y/N. He knew all along this day would come. He began to walk away from Heeseung.
"No... Don't do this to me, Y/N," Heeseung begged while Y/N walked away.

"Alright. That's perfect. We're done recording," the producer said through the small communicator.

"You did great," his manager said.

"Could you explain in detail?"
"This song is dedicated to someone I haven't met in a while. They have a special place in my heart," Y/N said.
"That's so beautiful. I hope you're able to meet with them again. Please give it up for Mr. Y/N as we start listening to his new song live."
Y/N grabbed his mic and began to sing...
"I call your name gently with my lips... Before I knew it, my empty day was filled with memories with you...," Y/N sang.

As Y/N continued to sing, he saw a familiar face in the crowd. It was Heeseung. Y/N couldn't help but to keep making eye contact, expressing how much the song meant to him- how much Heeseung meant to him. Soon, the fan meet ended and everyone had left. It was just Heeseung and Y/N left together.
"Did you miss me?" Heeseung asked Y/N, walking towards him with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"I did...," Y/N said, embarrassed at the same time.
"I got you flowers. Congrats on your new song," Heeseung said handing them to Y/N.
"Thanks... That means a lot to me," Y/N said, sorrowfully smiling while looking at the flowers.
"You have something to explain to me, right?" Heeseung said, slanting his inner eyebrows.
Y/N made eye contact with Heeseung again.
"I'm sorry I left you like that... I shouldn't have. I was afraid you'd leave me...," Y/N said, his voice shaking and tears forming.
"Why would I leave you, Y/N?" Heeseung said, grabbing Y/N's hand.
"I don't know..." Y/N said, his nose getting puffy and red.
"I could never," Heeseung comfortingly said, hugging Y/N and soothing him.
"I'm sorry I couldn't reach out to you sooner," Heeseung said.
"Why would you be sorry for that," Y/N asked, pulling back from the hug to look at Heeseung's face.
"Because I hated you afterwards. I was frustrated and angry with why you broke up with me. Your words... "You deserve someone better than me" made me think. Why couldn't you be that person?"
"I'm sorry I said that," Y/N said, smiling at Heeseung with comfort.

“Are you seriously just going to leave me here?” Your eyes are red and teary with the wind blowing against your wet hair. The tears streaming down your face start to blend with the raindrops falling and you can’t help but even hear your heart beating faster than it normally should.
“You told me you’d hold on,” you yell once more.
Sunghoon. The man who drove you crazy for years now was letting you go. Everyone said that opposites attract, but I guess it wasn't the same for you and Sunghoon. Anymore at least.
He didn’t even look back once. The last thing you saw was his broad shoulder still having its correct posture and confidence in what he had just said. He broke up with you. A simple saying of “I don't love you anymore.” You couldn't help but feel confused and broken. The yellow umbrella he had first gifted you on the day you guys had first met was on the floor due to the shock causing your grip to be released- the only thing that could have kept you dry on the outside at least.
After some weeks had passed, you couldn't help but feel empty. You felt as though you were missing a puzzle in your life. He broke up with you but you didn't know the reason and it frustrated you. Every rainy day was a trauma to you. You felt the need to cry each time hoping to move on and no longer cry at the old photos you guys had. But it was hard. It was difficult to just move on from who you thought was the love of your life.
Years passed and you thought you moved on. You tried to love yourself more than anything. Sunghoon is a memory now you thought. Something you didn't want to talk or open up about. You wanted to suppress every little thought of him. You thought that was the only way you'd heal. But you didn't. It was midnight and the only thing that should have been knocking were the harsh drops of rain fall, but a large knock rang at the front door. You quickly got up from your bed and wiped your tears. It felt dangerous to open the door in the middle of the night, but when you opened the door, a familiar face appeared. It was Sunghoon. Your eyes widen with fear. This possibly couldn't be happening. All the years you had spent wishing he was merely a memory made you break into a million pieces within seconds.
“I missed you…” Sunghoon said with teary eyes. He was drunk. You could smell the hard liquor and stench of rain that was starting to fill up your space. The soft look and wet hair that made him look like a wet dog made you cave in even more.
“What are you doing here?” You ask in confusion.
“I don't feel so good…” Sunghoon mumbles while motioning that he's about to fall. You grab onto the side of his arms to keep him from falling.
“I said what are you doing here,” you ask sternly.
He didn't even seem to be thinking about the question. His forehead slowly fell flat onto your shoulder. “Look, I want to talk… I shouldn't have left you like that.” You don't know how to feel. You had thought about scenarios of this happening but you never concluded what to say or do. He suddenly starts moving his arms slowly moving to your waist, giving you a tight hug.
“You smell good,” he says, soothed by the smell.
Of course, you smell good. You hadn't changed the shampoo you'd been washing yourself with for years. He'd compliment your smell each time he saw you when you guys were dating.
The rain began to fall harsher, causing a form of wind to form as well.
"Come in," you say.
You drag his body to the living room couch and place him down. He still looks the same. He hasn't changed at all. He still looks like the boy you met years ago. He barely looks awake now too-the drinks he had were pushing him to fall asleep any second.
“Do you want hot chocolate?” You ask.
He doesn't answer exactly but shakes his head up and down. You head over to your kitchen to heat your milk. What were you even thinking about letting him in? How was he going to get home? But most importantly, why was he here? As you finish mixing the cocoa powder in, you notice Sunghoon curled in a fetal position in the corner of your kitchen. He seems knocked out. You leave the cup on the counter and sit next to him. The moonlight shining through the window reflects a bright light on him.
“I worked so hard to move on Sunghoon. I wish you would just stay in my memories. I don't want you playing as the victim and staying in my kitchen like this when you know you were the one that hurt me,” you finally say.
“What if I told you that I also had a hard time?” He asks, raising his head from his arms. “I didn't want to break up with you. I loved you so much. But my mom..."
“What happened to your mom?” You ask, being concerned.
“I know what I did was wrong. I’m sorry. I had to stick next to my mom. She wasn't feel well and I thought that being next to you would only hurt you” Sunghoon said, truly regretting his decision. How could you not explain something important like that, you thought.
"Please forgive me for not explaining myself sooner," Sunghoon said, his eyes glittering with sparkles in hopes of persuading you. You give a blank yet confused stare at him. You aren't sure whether to take his words and stick next to him or to move on now that you know the reason for the breakup.
"I could have stuck by your side, Hoon." you say avoiding his eyes and looking down at your toes. "If I had known, I would have been there for you. Why would I get hurt being next to you? That's silly Hoon. I would have stuck with you." You feel tears forming in your eyes.
"You're right. But that's why I'm here. I've realized how much I need you. All these years, I was just dumb and thought that was the best for you."
He directs your chin towards his face and wipes away your tears. "I'm sorry," he says.
You feel your cheeks turn red and can't help but to accept him. His sorrowful eyes that are shimmering with the moon outside pushes you to kiss him on the lips. "I missed you," you say.
"Me too," he replies.
He moves you in closer by the waist and kiss you back passionately. You feel your body finally relaxing. The wish you had hoped for him to be a memory left your mind as you fell deeper in love.

"Last shot," Y/N yelled while focusing on her final shot for the day.
Y/N had taken a long journey to reach her success. This made her not only an inspirational person to other growing photographers but to her models as well. She easily attracted those around her and was a smooth person to talk to. Y/N always gave her one hundred percent whenever she was working and took interest in her models for both work and personal reasons.
"Good job everyone. Thank you for your hard work," Y/N shouted again as the camera finally uncovered your breathtaking face.
"Are you ready for your blind date, Y/N?" her coworker asked excitedly as they both packed their belongings.
"I am kind of nervous because it's been so long, but I can't be too sure if we'll be compatible. You know how high my standards are," Y/N said with a slight concerned look.
"I'm sure you guys will click. He's a really nice and talented man," her coworker assured.
"Hopefully... we'll see," Y/N answered.
All the coworkers began to leave as Y/N stayed for a bit to look over the small buffet set for in workshop. As she glanced over the food options, a gentle breeze of men's cologne swished behind her.
"Hi, Y/N. I'm sorry to ask you this, but can I please get a couple more shots? I don't feel as satisfied as I normally do."
Y/N turned around to the familiar voice. It was Byeon Wooseok. Everybody knew him to be a perfectionist. He wanted all his photos to look good and some considered him to even be egotistical. However, his personality was far off from that. He was truly a friendly and outgoing guy everybody could love.
"I do have to leave soon, but we can take some," Y/N hesitantly replied.
"Of course, thank you so much," Wooseok said with a bright smile on his face.
"Here. We can take some photos on this couch over here. It'll look nice. Should we go for a more boyfriend style?" Y/N said directing him.
"Yeah, that sounds good," he replied.
Y/N began to take her photos, instructing him on small details as she went. Wooseok was already a natural model and didn't need much directing. He knew he was good looking and found himself to correctly find his angles without much help. This made Y/N enjoy taking photos of him. All she had to do was to show her talent and he'd be ready with his.
Soon, they were done with the shooting. Y/N and Wooseok carefully looked through their photos and discussed their favorites.
"Wow, they all look good though," Wooseok said with an approved tone.
"Yeah, they do. I can email these to the editor and you'll have these soon," Y/N said while feeling accomplished after her picky model approved of her work.
She walked over to the side table where her camera case laid and stored her camera away. As she closed her zipper, Wooseok came behind her and trapped her from moving. Y/N felt her back touching Wooseok's front torso, and his arms on the edge of the table, trapping her, but not touching her entirely.
"Can you not go to your blind date?" Wooseok quietly mumbled into Y/N's ear.
"What did you say?" Y/N replied with a shock. She didn't expect this from Wooseok.
"I said can you not go to your blind date..." He said again looking sadly down at her camera case and putting his chin on her shoulder.
Y/N turned around in the tight space he gave her and looked at him in his eyes. She leaned against the table with her hands at the edge while he continued to stay established.
"Did I hear that correctly or am I going crazy right now," Y/N asked puzzled and blushed.
Wooseok avoided Y/N's eyes. He couldn't look at her anymore after confessing his feelings. He didn't want her to go on the date nor talk to other people.
Y/N noticed his expression to be sincere yet shy. She did find Wooseok cute, but never realized that he would ever have a crush on her.
"I like you Y/N..." Wooseok mumbled as he broke the silence. He changed his gaze from the ground to her eyes. His cheeks slightly turned pink and he began to nervously play around with his thumb against the table. "Not just as a photographer, but as a person. Do you think you like me too?"

You walk out of your house for the last time. The building holds many memories, some bad and some good. It's been 5 years since the breakup and you've finally decided to pack up your things for good and leave everything behind.
Your ex, Wonwoo, left the day he told you that he was moving out. At the time, Wonwoo was in his own head thinking that you were too good for him. That you deserved better. So, he told you he was breaking up with you for your own good. As much as you tried to get him to stay, he still left.
"It's better for you, Y/n. We can't stay together." He looks at you with somber eyes.
"Please! We...we can work something out. There must be something we can do." You grab his hand.
He looks at you for a minute and sighs. His mouth opens to say something but nothing comes out. He slowly slips out of your grip and leaves you sitting there in shock. The sight of his figure leaving the door as you sit there helpless is something you will never forget.
Since then, neither of you broke no contact. Although, you've gotten really close but ultimately decided not to.
After you settled in your new apartment, you decided to take a walk to the nearest park. The walk was quite tiring so you sat down at a bench to cool off. There aren't that many people at the park, especially since it's noon. Some runners, some having a picnic, and some walking their dogs. While observing people, you recognize someone. Is that... Wonwoo? He was all alone, walking around with his hands in his pockets while observing the scenery. Emotions start to become mixed around in your head and your first instinct was to run and hide. That isn't what you did though. You stayed sat on the bench and just stared off into the distance, consumed by your thoughts. All sounds became muffled as you continued to think. There was one in particular that broke through your concentration.
"y/n. Y/n. Y/N!" You felt your body shake and you look towards the source.
It's him. Wonwoo.
"Hi..." He smiles and examines your face, "Thought I lost you there" He chuckles.
"What are you doing here?" You ask baffled.
"I was just uh.. walking around. To clear my head. Didn't think I'd see you here either." He puts his hand on the back of his head and smiles sheepishly.
"A-anyway. Do you have a minute? I want to talk. About us."
"Uh.. sure." You respond.
"Alright! Let's talk over a drink." He waves you over as he walks backwards.

"Seeing you after all this time really brings back memories. All I can think of are good ones." He smiles.
"It really makes me realize that I messed up. Badly."
"I'm glad you know." You chuckle.
"Looking at you reminds me of all the pain I experienced after our breakup although I can't say I'm not glad you're acknowledging your mistakes."
You take a sip of your coffee and stare at him waiting for him to say something.
"Look, I genuinely cannot imagine my life without you anymore. The past 5 years have been hell. Please, just give me one more chance to show you how important you are to me." He's staring at you with extreme determination.
Overwhelmed with emotions you say, "I... don't know what to say. I need more time to think about this."
He looks at you understandingly, "Okay, just let me know if you'll give me another chance. I can wait. Here's my number."
You type in his number into your phone and get up to leave.
"See you around, Wonwoo." You wave him goodbye.
As you walk out of the cafe you think to yourself, can you really love him for a second time?

"Jake!" You yell.
The bed dips and rises up repeatedly before finally coming to a halt after your jump. His eyes flutter open and he slowly looks at his surroundings. Walls, a door, the bed, and you. He sees the same thing every morning. He is also getting tired of it.
"hey love." He whispers, "what's got you all energized this morning?"
Jake rubs his eyes and stares at the ceiling for a bit.
"Well, I just wanted to go on a date!"
"A date?" He looks at you for a bit.
"Yeah! I was thinking that we could go on a picnic."
"Uh-huh.."
Jake's phone dings and he quickly picks it up and checks who it's from. As he types away, the haptic sounds fill the dead silence between you two. During your relationship with Jake, he seemed to have changed drastically. At the start it was like any other fairytale movie with Jake practically being your prince charming. Then again, all good things come to an end and that is exactly what happened between you two.
"Is... everything okay?" You question.
"Yes, yes. Everything is fine. So a picnic?" He pockets his phone and looks into your eyes.
"yeah. I'll get ready now."

The park wasn't quite filled but it wasn't empty either. There were children running about, couples sharing food, and animals wandering about. You and Jake take a seat on a blanket and begin to take out your packed food. As you take a bite from your apple, curious thoughts begin to enter your mind. 'Does Jake really love me?' and 'What will happen if I confront him?' are two main recurring thoughts. You were so immersed in your head to notice that Jake was smiling at his phone and happily typing away. Whilst taking another bite of your apple, you muster up enough courage to bite the bullet.
"Jake?" You call.
"Yes?"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Shoot."
"What are we?"
He paused. The half eaten sandwich slightly droops to the side and a piece of tomato falls onto the blanket. There it is again. The silence that voraciously eats away the love that you thought existed.
He breaks the silence, "What do you mean?"
"Jake, what makes you think I don't know what you're doing."
The hungry silence appears once more, this time even more intense. Jake looks up at the sky and takes a deep breath.
He starts, "Love-"
"Don't call me that." You cut him off.
"Alright, as for your question we're dating. It just might feel different because there's someone else too." He looks off to the side.
You take a second to think about the situation. You love Jake and Jake loves you and someone else. Unfortunately, this alone cannot break your love for Jake. 5 years of the two of you being in a relationship is something that doesn't disappear when another person is introduced.
"Maybe we can work something out?" He suggests, "Like an agreement of some sort."
"is there something i'm missing?" You question, "What about me isn't good enough for you that you'd have to see another person? Do you even know what I've done for you for all these years? All of the moments we've had with each other, are they all just nothing to you?"
"No, no. I still really love you and those moments we had, they were all real." He reaches out for your face.
You stop his hand before it reaches your face, "Do you even know if they love you back? You're seriously putting our relationship at risk for some one-sided love?"
You can see that the thought of the other person not loving him back has taken charge in his mind. His face becomes distraught and he begins to breathe heavily.
You take this chance to start packing your things and get up, leaving Jake to wallow in his own despair.
As you're walking away you hear, "Wait, Love!"
You stop in your tracks and turn around. Jake is reaching out for you one last time. You take a moment to stare at him, considering going back.
"I can't believe you would just leave me." He says.
Your jaw drops a bit and you stare at him in disbelief.
"I don't want to be with you if it means that I'll be used to cover up your sins."

The human mind is very easily influenced. You, of course, are no exception to the many emotions caused by the world. After recently failing your final exam, you've been pretty bummed out. Immediately after failing, you went home and laid in bed to rot with tissues stacking up on your bedside table. Your boyfriend, Jungwon, became very worried. He called immediately after you texted that the test was over and asked how it went.

"Hey babe! How'd it go?" Jungwon asks.
"It... it didn't go well." You respond.
"Oh no... do you want me to come over? I pick up some ice cream on the way." He says worriedly.
You choke back a sob, "yeah sure, that would be nice."
"I'll be on my way soon. Love you."
"See you soon, love you too."

After hanging up the call you fell back into your bed and sighed. You stare at the gray ceiling and listen to the clock tick with every second. Your eyes start to get heavy and you slowly drift off into sleep.
You shift around your bed to find a new comfortable position just for your hand to land on something slightly hard and soft. You keep your eyes closed as you feel it around, trying to figure out what it is you're touching. It felt soft and fuzzy, but firm as well.
"Good morning babe." Jungwon says groggily.
"Oh! You're here? I'm sorry I couldn't get the door since I was sleeping." You say.
"No, it's okay. I managed." He yawns. "You must be tired, lay down for a little longer. I'll keep watch."
You laugh, "Keep watch for what? Is there some scary monster out to get me?"
"Hey! You never know what's out there in the world." He smiles.
"You're so..."
You try to think of something to call him but nothing comes to mind. This is because you've been staring at him. Every time you look at Jungwon, he never fails to take your breath away. His dimple that appears when he smiles is something that catches your eye all of the time. At this point you've been staring at him for a good minute.
"Are... you going to sleep?" He questions.
"Oh. Uh.. I might have slept enough already. Let's go eat that ice cream." You respond quickly to avoid getting questioned more.
You quickly get up from the bed and walk hastily to the refrigerator. Opening the freezer door, you find the ice cream you've been waiting for. You grab it and set it out on the counter then grab two bowls and spoons. Jungwon walks in as you're struggling to get a good scoop of ice cream.
"Here let me do that." He grabs your hand and moves it to scoop the ice cream.
While still holding your hand, he manages to get four good scoops of ice cream for the both of you.
"Wow. I still don't understand how you get that perfectly every time." You stare at him in awe.
"Well, it is with the help of your hand. Of course it would be perfect." He grins.
You blush and step back a bit. He finds it funny how his flirting still get you to flush and panic. You swiftly grab your bowl of ice cream and start walking to your balcony.
"Come on, let's go outside." You say while opening the door.
He quickly follows you and takes a seat next to you. You stare up into the sky. For once, the sky is clear of clouds and only shows the stars. Some of them even form little shapes if you stare hard enough.
"Isn't the view beautiful?" He asks.
"Absolutely, it's gorgeous." You respond.
You take off your eyes from the sky and look at Jungwon. He was staring at you, presumably for a while. He smiles with his face being lit by the dim moonlight. He looks breathtaking.
"Were you staring at me? When you asked that?" You question.
He doesn't say anything back. But he does give you a nod and another grin. He gets up and shifts his chair to be closer to you and grabs your face.
"I need you to hear this. You are everything to me. My entire world revolves around you. Sometimes I even think about whether or not I'm worthy enough to be with you. You are smart and very attractive. There's nothing to not like. I love you y/n."
You try to respond but nothing comes out from your mouth. All you can do is just stare at Jungwon for a little bit before you feel a sting in the corner of your eyes. The first tear slides down your cheek and Jungwon wipes it away. He pulls your face closer and closes the gap with his lips. It seemed as if the moonlight shined the brightest when you guys kissed.
"I love you too, Jungwon." You say with a smile.
He looks as if his heart is about to burst. He grabs your face again and peppers kisses all over it, repeating things about how much he loves you and that he never wants to leave your side. You two were always meant to be.
