Splatfest gets rolling this Friday, 4/6, at 9:00pm PT! Can Team Baseball put some mustard on it? Or will Team Soccer kick it up a notch?
hey im trying to be more positive and stay out of the discourse but i dont wanna unfollow you.. do you have a non-transmed blog?
Yep! Follow me at @kidpirate
Dear whoever is reading this: I wish you a life full of warmth and happiness and love. I hope youâre okay. And if you arenât now, you will be.
why is it that tucutes and tumblr in general constantly talk about how having a mental illness isnt bad, but the minute transmeds say dysphoria(which you need to be trans) is an illness, its suddenly the worst fucking insult to ever be uttered on this hellsite
truscum care about you. sometimes it seems like we would rather a tucute fall off the earth than keep doing what theyâre doing, but really, when we get into those arguements itâs out of fear and care for you. AND for other trans people.
We arenât wanting to ruin your life or your self esteem. We arenât wanting you to leave a conversation with us, wishing you were dead. We may not all be the best at keeping the right tone 24/7, but all we want is for you to walk away thinking. And thatâs what ALL groups should do, regardless.
We want you to be safe, and be able to look back at yourself and be proud. Carrying around the burden of 15 labels all surrounding your emotions for each day of the week is exhausting, regardless of how well those labels fit you.
We want to show you cis = amazing just as much as you believe trans = amazing. That trans people have real struggles, and YOU have real struggles, but just because we both struggle does not mean we are in the same boat.
If a transmed/truscum is making you feel like garbage, you are allowed to walk away. You are allowed to walk away and never look back, and you are allowed to come back wanting another chance at a calm discussion. Some of us hold grudges, but we dont all. And you deserve to have a discussion about trans beliefs just as much as us.
@ that anon: nice use of the r slur. Sincerely, an autistic person who identifies as nonbinary in part because of the problems they have understanding social cues and concepts like the gender binary
âI identify as non binary because I donât understand what gender isâ
WHOOP THERE IT IS
Dysphoria is the disconnect between a personâs gender and sex. Gender is determined by oneâs neurosex. When the neurosex doesnât match up with a personâs biological sex, it causes distress and discomfort. This is known as dysphoria, and itâs the single requirement to being trans, whether itâs minor or severe.
A trans person doesnât have to go on hormones, have surgery, or conform to gender roles to be trans. This isnât what transmeds stand for. We simply want cis people to stop latching onto the trans label when theyâre not actually trans. Theyâre hurting both themselves and the trans community.
Itâs okay to be cisgender, just like how itâs okay to be transgender. Being cisgender doesnât make your struggles less valid just because youâre âprivileged,â according to Tumblr.
hey

me three years ago: the lgbtqia*+ community, me now: donât talk to me if you put anything after lgbt
Y'all ever just sit there and think about how fucking incredible itâll feel when youâre older and have transitioned to the point you want to transition to. How free and happy and normal youâll feel. It makes me feel a little melancholy to know that Iâm not there yet but one day I will be.
