bad advice barbie
Gay as hell to have a lab partner. What are you experimenting with? Your sexuality?
i cant believe there are people who still havent seen this video
I could probably recite this entire video, word-for-word, on demand.
Goddamn, this is nearly thirty years old and it fits like a glove into contemporary shitpost cadence and aesthetics, this is High Art

we’ll fuck your wife”
IT BETTER NOT BOUNCE OR YOU’RE A DEAD MOTHERFUCKER
it was really heartening to learn that the purpose of creating such a thick uterine lining during the menstrual period was to prevent the implantation of embryos rather than encourage them, and that our uterus is basically flushing out anything it deems unworthy during the period itself rather than “punishing” us for not being pregnant (which is how it’s usually framed). it’s almost as if your female body is more concerned with the protection and continuation of itself rather than being used as a procreative vessel.
the fact that we’ve come to accept the idea that our reproductive organs are punishing us for not being continuously pregnant is proof of how deeply patriarchal brainwashing has convinced women that we are nothing but broodmares for ‘their’ children.
does anyone have sources for this?
I'm not the OP but I learned about it in a youtube video a while back. Was fairly recently so I can search for it and probably find it again... Ah, yes. I'm on mobile so can't do links right now, but the video is called "Why Do People Have Periods When Most Mammals Don't?" by SciShow. Their sources is a long list in the description.
It was pretty interesting! I just skimmed through it now to make sure it was the right video. It's a 12 min video that also went into the role of the placenta, earlier (now debunked) sexist theories about menstruation, how it is in other species, etc.
I want to reblog this again so bad but the op has me blocked 😭😭😭
whats the deal with the stigma around giving up anyway. yeah this is hard so i do not want to do it anymore. we don’t keep our hand inside a burning flame just to feel like a martyr. i’m off to get a milkshake

Thinking about how in School Hard, when Buffy first fought Spike, she had them throw aside their weapons. Something that could've been a fatal mistake if Joyce hadn't saved her with the very weapon she'd tossed aside.
And then thinking about how in Fool For Love, the first lesson Spike talks to her about is that she must always hang onto her weapon, because he wants to make sure she never makes that mistake again.

I was gonna make Emmy draw this but she said no so I drew it myself.
