Why Conversion is Key to Online Marketing Success
If you have or are thinking about doing any type of Internet marketing you must know right now that conversion is the key to success.
You can do all kinds of things to bring awards of traffic to your website or social media page but if they do not convert into sales, it's pointless. I have been in this business for a very long time and what always baffles me is that people don't look at conversion as being too much of a big deal. When in fact it's the heart of the whole marketing campaign.
No matter what type of offer you have you want to make sure that you deliver it in such a way that it converts. The conversion can be a sale, and e-mail address, or pointing them to an advertisement on your site without making it look like you're pointing to an advertisement on your site, flying casual. lol.
So if your goal is to build an e-mail list that you can market to later on and keep as a foundation than your main goal for your website or social media page is to collect e-mails. Easier said than done. First think about why someone who want to give you their e-mail address, I mean the know in the back of the brain that you're gonna try and sell them something at some point right? But if you offer them an incentive in the first place and give them a significant amount of good value for free then they will be more likely to listen to what you have to say when you do try and market to them.
Same goes if you are going for a direct sale. Is everything set up to be easy and simple or are you making them jump through hoops without even knowing it. Sometimes the little simple tricks work of the best. It's not rocket science, it's just trying to get your visitor to create an action.
Let's take CPA offers for instance. This is where you trying get someone to input their e-mail, their name, their phone number, and or their address into a form. This form may not be yours but an affiliate of yours. So for every person that fills out the form you would get paid may be a dollar or two dollars or something around that amount. Seems easy enough, but if you don't set up right in the first place people are going to ignore it.
A colleague of mine uses a WordPress plug-in to handle all his CPA marketing. Basically all he does is make a post on his Facebook or twitter about a news story or something that's happening right now that all of his friends or followers would enjoy and really soak up and at the and his CPA offer, the form, would show up. Now this offer could be a chance to win something or a coupon or anything like that. The point I want to make is that the CPA offer is related to the content on the website itself. He uses a WordPress plug-in to market his offers, it's called trust Jacker. It's pretty cool.
You may already know that there are pretty much infinite ways to make money online, even though most of it seems like a scam, there are a few things that really work. It's just like traditional business out in the streets, you give them something good and with value and they will come back and buy from you again. If you do nothing but screw them over, they will never let you forget about it.
