E plurbis disunion
This is a first try for me and my opinions are so odd sounding I have to think about them myself occasionally. What I see happening to our country in the light of the PC movement is beyond my wildest imagination only a few years ago. Any mention of standard American values is met with such a howl that one fears to even mention them lest he, or she, be cast under the deplorable bus forevermore.
I will not long write on any of these little commentaries, but make them I feel obligated to do. I realize not many (any?) will read them, but at the least I’ll, in a manner of speaking, get things off my chest. Although I was already motivated by the incredible crying and gnashing of teeth following the election of 2016, I really was not prepared for the length of the frenzy, nor for the unbelievably vulgar and unseemly nature thereof. The complete trashing of most American ideals, and even icons, is nearly complete on the millennial/leftist agenda.
The force feeding of their values on the rest of America became crystal clear during the recent Olympics. The fact that corporate America has bought, or been coerced, in to this stunning reversal of our traditions is even more alarming and frightening. I am prepared for whatever may come of this to me, the calling of names not true, the comparison to the historically infamous, and all the other hate tactics used under the laughable heading of ‘protecting free speech’ means little to me at my age. What does mean something is to speak of things others may not choose to address and take the heat, so to write. We will see.
