Familiar Faces | Kathryn and Aria
Neverland. Seemed like a feasible option, except this one was no child nor any regular person. Kathryn was no professed God, she was not all knowing, but all of her kind were tethered to the elements that be—in short connected to nature as the unique abilities of their kin coursed through every natural fibre of their being. She could sense the weather; she could sense magic; and most of all she could sense humanity.
”Indeed I have. But I have not heard very many things about this—Neverland.” Kathryn walked around the girl, deep hazel irises sweeping up and down her form. “But you are not human either. Are you.” There was no question in her tone, but no confrontation all the same. She would let sleeping dogs lie, so long as they didn’t bring ills to her doorstep.
Aria started feeling nervous. How much better could her evening have been if she had just kept walking? She could have never had to talk about her past at all and just gone home. But then she wouldn't have seen this woman again either, she didn't know which option was better now.
"Oh you know, the land where no one ever ages," the red head explained, feeling uneasy as the woman circled her. She held her breath a moment when her humanity came into question. "Maybe not, but then neither would you be," she countered without any malice in her tone. "Magic is different here, I'm human enough right now."
