Help
Help: My character requests help from your character (be something silly or serious, you may decide.)
Asking for help from the senior Turk wasn't anything particularly new to Tseng, but that didn't mean he was eager to have to ask. Especially when the present he'd been wrapping was supposed to be a surprise. How he'd gotten his fingers tied up in the bow was beyond him, but here he was, walking down the hall from the room he'd locked himself in to make sure Veld didn't see before he wanted him to, toeing open the door where Veld was sitting, reading quietly. The other man lifts his head as Tseng enters, raising a brow at the state of his hands--thoroughly tied up in dark blue ribbon, a small package dangling between his hands.
Tseng averts his gaze to avoid the amused smile he could see on the older man's face, and moves forward.
"And how'd you manage this?"
Tseng doesn't answer for awhile "I got distracted while I was tying it and when I looked back... I couldn't get them untied." He can feel the ribbon being steadily unknotted from his fingers, and after a moment the present slips free and lands in Veld's hand. There's silence for a moment before Tseng clears his throat "It's... for you."
Veld raises a brow at him, smiles again and then turns his head down to the present, picking it up to open it. Inside the small white box was a rather plain chain, at the end of it was a pendant, sleek and silver, two guns crossed together over the Shinra symbol.
"I figured you would prefer something more practical, but I couldn't decide on anything you might actually need, I had the idea and... I hope you like it."

[Pssst idk if you know this but instead of scouring the Reno tag like I saw you post you can search ‘#reno #rude’ without the apostrophes and it’ll only come up with things tagged both reno and rude]
{I’ve tried that, but Reno is so much more popular than Rude, it kind of backfires. Because I only am ever in Reno’s tags to hunt for Rude. Rabbit trails and such. Also, Hello.}
[Mm, well that's why you do the search with both, though there's always people who don't tag both.. In any case you'll only find things tagged reno and also tagged rude if you search that.
Life would be much easier if they all had last names. TheTsengtagonlygetsupdatedwiththesamestuffoverandoverbutatleastIdon'thavetodealwithporn. And yes hi.]

"Yes, lets." Rufus strode out of the doorway and down the hall at an even pace. He would wait until the man was in the car driving already before he began. He knew what cards he wanted to play and he certainly didn’t want to set any of them up in front of company cameras, regardless of how simple it would be for a Turk to make such evidence disappear.
He turned the corner in the hallway and strode up to the elevator with ease. A simple press of the down button beside it left him waiting for it’s arrival. He turned to Tseng and searched the aloof Turk for any signs of discomfort as he spoke.
"I’m in the mood for take out, I’m not sure I’ll have the patience to cook tonight. I think I’ll call in an order, unless you’d rather do so for security reasons. I leave a false name anyway. Would you like anything? It’s on me. I’m not in the mood for anything specific so you can even choose where we stop for food if you’re in a particular mood."
Following Rufus down the hall left Tseng to his thoughts, which were, of course, engrossed in the trip seeing Rufus safely home. It wasn't common for the Turk to not know what was on the Presidents mind, but then again, of all people, Rufus knew best how to deceive Tseng when he wished it. The man was more far more wily than just about anyone the Wutaiian man knew. It was one of the many things that drew Tseng in about the President. He shifts his gaze to meet Rufus' as the other speaks, calling in food was no problem--considering he knew Rufus was more careful than to need to be coddled over such things.
"I don't think there'd be any problem if you wanted to do so yourself, though I'd be more than happy to call it for you" he says, thinking over the options, he had a fairly simple diet himself, sticking to quick and easy to make things, rice, noodles, and other wutaiian-native foods as well as easy to make dishes he learned during his time as a Turk. "There's a place that sells curry and other such things on the way, I can't say I'm particularly fond of any of the other places around." The elevator reaches their floor and slides open smoothly as he speaks, he flicks his gaze over it before stepping in with Rufus. "Though, I also wouldn't mind cooking for you, if you simply don't feel like cooking."
"Did you hear something?"
Tseng immediately stopped, cocking his head. He hadn’t heard anything, but if Vincent said he had then Tseng trusted that—the man had better hearing than he did as it was.
"No," his tone is lowered, if something was sneaking up on them it wouldn’t do to alert it. "Doesn’t mean there’s nothing there though."
Vincent gave a quiet grunt and forged on ahead through the dense forest, relying on his enhanced vision to keep from bouncing off any tree trunks of tripping over boulders.
"Why are you out here with me again?" Usually this sort of thing was left to him alone; there was no reason for the Director to be out here as well. Not that he didn’t enjoy the company.
He has to follow at a slightly slower pace, feeling his way and taking careful steps where the moonlight couldn't guide him.
"I didn't expect you to be going out for it tonight, I had some free time. Thought to take care of it myself." And rare as that free time was, Tseng wasn't the type to take advantage of it for time for himself. Dedicated to his work as he was, often his free time melded in with work time. With slightly more flexibility.

"From the left and up." There was a reason Vincent disliked forests after dark and this was one of them.
"Most likely a rodent.."
"Or it could be our quarry," he notes, flicking his gaze in the direction, though he doubted it was still there, brushing a stray strand of hair out of his eyes and listening for a moment before deciding to continue on "We should be nearing where it's den was estimated to be at."
No one let the mun near the Final Fantasy Wikias. Ever.
