Bloom 2019: For New and Expected Moms May 4
Bloom is a celebration of mother happening in 50+ other cities. In Miami the Miami’s Mom Blog is hosting at Mercy Hospital from 9-4 pm. Bloom is a kid-free event with the exception of nursing infants and is all about taking a morning off and getting away from the routine for a celebration that is all about YOU. Guests will enjoy pampering, interacting with other local moms and engaging with vendors relevant to motherhood. Tickets are $30 and VIP Swag tickets are $45. Get your tickets here!
The Lion King at the Arsht Center May 8-26th

New Times Brew at the Zoo: May 11
Throw a few cold ones back and enjoy live music at the Miami New Times’ and Zoo Miami’s annual BREW AT THE ZOO. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., sample more than 100 kinds of beer from all around the world. The Shops of Merrick Village and the Coral Gables Community Foundation will present the first-ever “Shop & Stroll,” a progressive evening of shopping with sips, specials and surprises at popular retailers . The event at Shops at Merrick Park (358 San Lorenzo Ave.) will benefit Beaux Arts, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Miami Lighthouse for the Blind, The Motivational Edge, Junior League of Miami and Neighbors for Neighbors, in addition to co-presenter the Coral Gables Community Foundation. Over 50 booths of colorful blooms at this 3-day event which features the largest annual orchid show in the country.

SURFSIDE’S SECOND ANNUAL PADDLETOPIA FESTIVAL
MAY 18-19 2019, 96th Street Park at 9580 Bay Drive Surfside
This groovy two-day affair will transform the 96th Street waterfront park in Miami’s Uptown Beachtown into a weekend-long festival with paddle boarding, wellness brands, fitness demos, healthy snacks and family activities.
Paddletopia will feature stand-up paddle boarding along the intracoastal including complimentary paddle boards in partnership with Miami Beach Paddle Board and kayaks available to the public at a pop-up dock on the waterway bordering the park.
There will be a wellness expo with fitness classes and family boot camp, eco-fashion shows, live DJ, “chill out” lounges and much more. Stay fueled with healthy fare available for purchase from a retrofitted vintage trailer, as well as free smoothie and juice samples and more.
Activities for the kids will include an eco-friendly ball pit, a graffiti “train” where children can decorate an inflatable subway car, and a fishing pond. Participants can also enter into contests for a chance to win neat prizes and giveaways
