My best friend was recently hit by a distracted driver while walking on the sidewalk. The accident has completely altered her life, shattering her hips and there’s still a chance that she’ll lose her leg. She is being so positive and strong throughout this long and painful recovery process, but there’s just one thing we can’t get over. The fact that she’ll miss the Taylor Swift show.
Lita and I first bonded over our love for @taylorswift and have carried that love through our friendship over the last 4 years. When her mom got diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer and she had to move back home to Nashville, we knew that meant we wouldn’t be able to check off a bucket list item of seeing Taylor live together. We coped with it by knowing we could both go see her in our own cities (Boston and Nashville) and share our memories together. With the recent accident that happened during a long weekend in Boston, Lita is not able to travel to Nashville and will miss the Reputation Stadium Tour completely. In the grand scheme of things, missing a @taylorswift concert might not seem like a big deal, but to us it’s the hardest part of the recovery so far. @taylornation
Lita is continuing to make progress and even had some stitches removed yesterday! She still has a long time at to go and will likely have a full leg cast for the next 6 weeks. We’re trying so hard to stay positive throughout the process!
Taylor’s in town this week and my girl Lita is still stuck in rehab and not able to leave for the show. It’s crazy how a few seconds and a freak accident can alter your life forever. @taylorswift @taylornation
