I hate how Geto is definitely crying inside. Akutami is wrong for this😢
im still crying over the fact gojou specifically asked people like nanami and yuuta who could truly understand yuuji's situation to watch ov
Fighting back
Or let's make Kenjaku struggle a bit more
Undead Unluck is about the power of creativity
It is our creativity that allows us to see beyond preconceived limitations and allows us to bring new concepts into the world.
In Undead Unluck the main characters want to change reality because of how unfair they believe God to be.
In the most recent arcs we see the power of creativity in Akira Kuno the manga artist and Andy. With Kuno it’s more obvious but Andy has been able to surpass the barriers that were believed to exist for his powers. He’s creating new attacks and abilities based on reshaping his own reality, which is what he learned from Fuuko when she told him her view on death.
Because UxU doesn’t waste not one fight or foe we have to look at Billy. Billy represents the copycat, he can replicate attacks but he is limited by his limited creativity. Andy knows his own powers and has a more creative mindset so he can push the barriers of his abilities in a way Billy cannot. Billy is similar to an artist who can only mimic other artists but cannot create new styles himself.
The inherent homoeroticism of killing your enemy and immediately regretting it
It’s about rage, it’s about obsession, it’s about making that two-person war your entire raison d’être. It’s about loving and mistaking it for hatred and loving and loving and loving to the point of destruction. His or yours, it doesn’t matter. And you think seeing him dead at your feet will make you feel better, but all you feel is a whole lot of nothing.
What I’m loving about Undead Unluck so far
This series is offering the best Shounen Jump has to offer. But twigger warning for SA in the first few chapters!
• At #1 is Andy and Fuuko’s relationship. They have to be the healthiest and most entertaining couple I’ve ever read in a manga. Who would’ve thought something so lovely could come from such an “uncomfortable” beginning. Both of them inspire the other, they’re both confident and risk takers, both showed each other how good life can be. Andy was bored of living but through being with Fuuko he’s had tons of new experiences. And similarly Fuuko got to have new experiences with Andy living out her shoujo dreams and traveling and eating new foods. Fuuko’s trust in Andy, and Andy’s in her is one of my favorite aspects of their relationship.
• Fuuko. One of the best written and utilized female characters in shounen. It’s easy to empathize with her, and feel inspired by her growth. Her being a shut-in gave her a zest for life rather than Turing her into a wallflower. She’s confident and kind in a genuine way that comes from her own unlucky past.
• The writing is tight! One of the major reasons shounen can be such a slog to get through is the pacing and lack of focus (here’s looking at you JJK). But UxU sticks to its themes on death, ephemerality, and the power of personal beliefs. Not one fight is wasted, not even the shortest confrontations for ex the pop idol and Fuuko’s brief interaction on the stairs was used to highlight her love for Andy and how much Rip loves Latla.
Often times when a problem/obstacle is introduced it is quickly addressed within the next few chapters or pages. During the fight against Victor Fuuko realizes she doesn’t know much about Andy. Then during the Autumn arc she spends years with him in a fake past and becomes closer. Even her getting chubby is then addressed by her getting stronger and fitter.
• Andy. He’s the complete package. I thought he was going to be a bit dumb or simple, but he’s complex while still being fun and hopeful. He has maturity fitting his years lived while still being excited for new experiences.
• While the secondary cast is just okay imo, I’m just grateful that I don’t find any of them annoying. Their fights are usually interesting to read as well.

Redrew this meme with Andy & Fuuko!
Please be kind and do not repost. ✌️
To this day it blows my mind that when Naoko Takeuchi and Yoshihiro Togashi started dating, Togashi looked haggard to the point where he told an assistant that police regularly stopped him on the street for looking “suspicious”. And Ferrari-driving, couture-wearing Naoko still gave him a chance. The man was swimming in a pile of trash
looking like THIS
And he still married THIS WOMAN
His personality must be great
@nightstitcher that picture never fails to kill me. Like...the scene in hxh greed island arc with the trash...that was real...
Her taste is exquisite to say the least
Fun fact she worked as his assistant before they got married. She helped out with the beginning stages of HxH. Apparently she was so bad at her job that she kinda just sat and talked to him and that’s how they got to know each other
You honestly can’t convince me Akutami wasn’t inspired by Yuri On Ice when he came up with Gojo.
Besides looks both are confident/arrogant, flirtatious with men, are mentors, ect
When I heard Junichi Suwabe would be voicing a character in JJK I thought he was going to be Gojo bc him and Victor seemed similar. We’ve also got the same studio and character designer working on this show!
Who told these men to be so beautiful??

More evidence towards Gojo being a not straight

I’ve watched Ai Nori on Netflix and missed this reference! But Gojo acting like a contestant on a romance reality show paired with him asking Nanami out in a flirty way earlier adds to the gayness of that whole jj sanpo.
Also the way he dismissively acts like he’s attracted to Miwa even though he couldn’t even remember her name. Definitely feels like he was giving a fake answer.
