aside from the fact that wen kexing is just perpetually flirty, here’s the deleted scene from ep12 which adds context to the ep13 joke/dialogue: “Did I mishear you just now? A-Xu, finally you’ve admitted that I’m good-looking 😏😏😏“

Happy Camp's own JunZhe video edit, yes, THEY DID THIS. They used those FAN EDITED WenZhou pics, + called zzh maomao, called out ZZH's fascination with GJ's sweaty neck and gave us a WARNING. I watch this everytime I need a pick me up.

Why Lao Wen is the best nickname
Although technically Lao (老) means old, its meaning when used in China can mean different things in different scenarios and paired with certain words. For example, wife in Chinese (if we break it up) is old/grandmother; and husband in Chinese is old/grandfather. It doesn’t mean a wife or husband is necessarily old.
In the context of Lao Wen, adding a Lao in front of someone’s name usually means you’re close. Perhaps among close male friends (who have known each other for a while), but also very common between husband and wife. It’s very common for couples who have known each other for a while to call each other nicknames with the prefix of lao-.
A-Xu calling WKX “Lao Wen” is actually really endearing (husband!), and not at all that he’s saying WKX is old. I mean, in the official drama, it means they’re great buds, BFFs! But to fans, it’s A-Xu’s nickname for his husband!
