I was tagged by @anime-sexual to list my top 5 favorite characters. I won't tag anyone but if you want to do it feel free to go ahead anyway

Okay so this is actually pretty hard for me :D even finding a top 5 was hard and please don't take the ranking too seriously. I love them all so much it's hard to put them in any order

1. Allen Walker from D. Gray-man. Regardless of what happened to him he kept walking and he still does. He's moving on and doesn't let himself be held back by stuff so terrifying it hurts to see him go through it. But moving on doesn't mean he forgets any of it. He's holding all of the love and the pain close to his heart and tries to learn from it. Even while he’s clearly in pain and struggling and doesn’t even understand what’s happening with him anymore he still deeply cares for his friends and tries his best to protect them. He's just a very strong and kind-hearted character. It’s very inspiring to me

2. Ciel Phantomhive, specifically Our Ciel who doesn't have an official name yet from Kuroshitsuji. He endured so much shit in his life already and he's still just a kid. Regardless of all that even when he went beyond his breaking point he didn't give up. He managed to achieve all these things at such an early age even though there no way he isn't severely traumatized. Ciel is all about preserving this self image that he created for himself which has to be very hard on him. Even though he doesn’t show it much he still cares about his friends/ servants but he’s still able to make hard decisions if he feels like they’re the right decisions to make. What I really love about him is that although he’s physically weak and normally nobody would even take him seriously he got to a very powerful position just by how smart he is.

3. Haruka Nanase from Free! And okay now it might seem like we’re braking the theme here but we’re not. Yes, he’s drop dead gorgeous and all but I really started loving him after we got to know more about his personality. He seems to have been left alone by his parents for a good portion of his life so he had to learn how to survive on his own from a pretty young age. He also seems to be very insecure at everything except swimming freestyle (which he's very passionate about) so there are a lot of things he’d rather not try in fear of failing. And when he felt like even swimming free, which is something he had always been the best at, wouldn’t get him to win, he broke. But not just because of that. He was afraid of the change that was bound to come. But he seems to have found a way to make it work for him and have accepted that even though he’s afraid he has to move forward.

4. Chihiro from Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi because she’s thrown into this scary world full of things she doesn’t understand while she’s still just a child. Although she’s separated from her parents, probably for the first time, she soon discovers her brave side. The whole movie she’s this selfless and kind person. She doesn’t care how you look or if you did a couple of things wrong. She gives you a chance and treats you as her equal as long as you want to change for the better. All she wants is for her friends and family to be happy and safe and she’s willing to fight for it. I love her so much and I hope I can be just a tiny bit as brave and kind as her.

5. Kuroko from Kuroko no Basuke because although his friends hurt him a lot in the past he’s willing to fight for them and help them in his own way. Again, a very kind and selfless person. And although he doesn’t show it that prominently, he’s also a very passionate person. He’s bad at basketball and he knows it so he practices a lot because he just loves it so much. And when he does he fails time and time again but he doesn’t give up. He’s also not afraid to ask for help if he feels like he can’t do it alone. He’s an absolute team player and does everything he can to protect his team.

I don’t really ship anything with kuroshitsuji though. It’s more of a very interesting relationship to me?From the very beginning they planned to use each other to get what they want but they got more than they initially wanted.

Sebastian wanted to have a tasty meal but he also discovered that Ciel isn’t like the other ‘masters’ he had before. I like to think that he thinks Ciel is a fascinating person.

Ciel wanted his revenge but he got more out of Sebastian than just a dog. He got a loyal servant, teacher and guard.

So… yeah. I don’t ship it but i don’t hate it either. I see why people ship them but Ciel is a kid so I couldn’t ship him with anybody.
