Casual Meeting || whimsical-hobbyist
Totsuka was currently on his way back to the bar HOMRA with an assortment of snack foods in his hand. He wasn’t sure why he was volunteered to go to the store but he had little to no complaints. He enjoyed being out and about in the bustling city, so there really was no problems he could find with leaving.
Head shifted from left to right as he got ready to cross the street before the feeling of an unfamiliar presence was shoved upon him. Caramel optics shifted to the source hues slowly blinking once they settled upon the other.
Should I say something-?
He quickly decided there would be no harm in addressing the other, so a grin cracked onto his lips while he moved them to speak a simple enough greeting.

⌜☪⌟—"Ah--!" For a second there Naoki froze, her mouth agape as her eyes came to link with those of the interesting individual. She should have expected someone to notice her-- there were those with their special abilities, or so she recalled from previous encounters-- and yet she yelped as the person actually looked at her, grinned, and even spoke to her.
It was silly to be surprised as she was, she knew. Instantly she recovered, but not without mentioning word of this.
⌜☪⌟—"Y--You can see me?" It was a silly question, and she was sure this person would be confused, so she snapped out of it. "Ah, well that just makes you much more interesting then I thought~"

And to think going into the world would be any fun. It seemed this city she hand come across was nothing special other than the few advances in technology she had not been aware of, and perhaps the occasional extravagant teenager with the hilarious colored jeans.
Other than that, nothing new.
As she was about to give up and go back, something caught her eye, or better said someone.
An interesting looking person. Something about him...or her...-- she could not tell exactly their gender-- was oddly strange. The atmosphere about them was peculiar, and of course she had to see them up close. So without second thought she simply sneaked up to the person, a blond, from the back and observed their face closely.
⌜☪⌟—"Hm, interesting," she hummed, standing but a few centimeters away.
⌠3⌡ Have Wandered into the Forest
{| ~ |} A ephemeral breath came from the woman in response to the sort of statement she had just said, as if this were nothing. Surely the girl craved company, but her pride was greater in which she’d never admit to it. To be here this long and more, it was enough to make Saynara have solicitude for the other. If she was to leave this forest, she was bringing Naoki with her, whether she wanted to go or not, she shouldn’t be here any longer- not if the dancer could help it.
{| "I’m afraid it will not be so much of a test to me, not anymore. If I am to wait here, then there are things I must know. If you’ve been here for so long, why haven’t you left. Truly by now you should have discovered a way out, but I believe there is more than that to you. So why?"
⌜☪⌟—"Ah, of course there is a way out!" the woman declared, waving a careless hand about as though to brush away the other's comment. There was a pause in wheres her hand froze, and from the corner of her eye she watched the woman with a hint of curiosity before she would continue her speech.
⌜☪⌟—"I can easily leave any time I like," was all she would say instead of giving the woman a more in-depth answer of the real reason she was all by herself there instead of roaming freely about the world. She even gave off a simple smirk. "But you shouldn't be so nosy with those whom you've only just met, isn't that only customary, hm?"

⌜☪⌟—"Huh?" These humans sure had their odd traits. This kid..only one from the bunch of the weirdos.
⌜☪⌟—"Well, if you were wise you'd try rinsing the glue off in the first place," she sighed at the poor idiot, not really expecting an asnwer as she stood besides him.

{| ~ |} Amber irises glared, proceeding to close tightly in agitation. “With such words you speak, I can only assume that this forest is not any average one. Therefore, if you wish to not help me at a moment such as now I shall loiter around you until you feel like it, mmm?” Saynara slurred, leaning against a nearby tree; she had nowhere to go, and it appeared irrefutable to the dancer that she could get out on her own.
⌜☪⌟—Naoki rose a brow. This woman seemed determined to follow her words, and yet Naoki could not help the chuckle that escaped her breath as though it were silly. She leaned further back on the branch she was perched upon, masked eyes looking away from her. "I'll say, you are right in many ways, but I've been here a whole lifetime, and I'll probably still be here for the next few eons." She spoke easily, her words truthful and careless. In a swift motion her eyes turned to the girl again. "So, let's test who has the greater patience, shall we~?"

Worth a try then. He stepped forward and away from the one whom spoken to him, aiming the gun straight for the trees. He then released a blast of lightning, destroying the dead foliage that was in his way, blinking when…it…didn’t seem to do a thing actually. His eyes narrowed as he walked forward, sword drawn in his free hand. He slammed the blade into one of the very thin trees that should have been cut down, only to stumble back when it did nothing. Golden hues blinked as he gazed upon it, then turned back to the woman, venom clear in his expression. “So that’s your game huh?”
⌜☪⌟—Well at least this guy provided her some fun. Naoki's amusement was not hidden as she watched the human boy in his reckless act. A gun would not be working around here (little less a blade), at least not while she was around. She gave a loud sigh, stepping around the other, watching him behind masked eyes. "Not a game, boy, but I do find it quite amusing," she chuckled. "So," she hummed then, done with eying the peculiar appearance of the boy and leaning back against the tree. "Is there a plan B? Or are you finally giving up?"

"Well if that’s so, then I’ll just have to make one won’t I?" The male then turned with little care for the wench whom spoke to him. His path was set to before him as he pulled free his pistol, twirling the object around his fingers. He cared not for this woman’s words, nor did he care much for her presence. So, he’d just leave her to her loneliness in the woods and find his own way out. He wasn’t going to just stay here of course.
⌜☪⌟—The woman rose an eyebrow, feigning impression as he watched him in his reckless state. "Hm, quite the defiant one, aren't ya'?" she questioned with a chuckle. A moment she sat upon a low branch from her tree, the next she stood upon the soil, arms crossed over her chest. "Well," she sighed out, leaning against the tree's bark. "Go ahead then," she hummed indifferently. Little did this boy knew of the curse he was intertwined in as soon as he met her. Indeed the only way to leave was with the youkai's help.

Right, lost in some forest. This woman before him already irritated him though he kept himself calm and only took a deep breath. He had to think for a moment, just what should he do? This woman obviously, wouldn’t help him, nor did she even seem natural. Though maybe if he were lucky, he could get her to give a bit of directions? “Right right…Where’s the way out then?”
⌜☪⌟—At the question, Naoki chuckled rather rudely. She was aware of her terrible behavior. Mocking strangers would seem completely uncustomary to most, but she had not been a very customary girl, at least not that she ever remembered. "A way out you ask?" she questioned as though to clear his inquiry. "Well, boy, I don't think there is one, at least not for you~"
A new spirit?
”It is customary.” Gin noted along with a nod of the head. “But after a few centuries of following a custom, you feel the desire to change things up a bit. Plus, humans tend to feel touchy after I introduce myself, mostly children, and I do not tend to die due to a child that feels the need to hug me.” He sighed at that thought and the memories of having to beat children over the head with sticks to keep them at bay. “My name is Gin, by the way.” The male laid down on the grass, not needing to really look at her to hold a conversation with the other so he took the time to look up at the sky. “But, anyway, you don’t need a reason to be here. I was simply curious to how you found here and got here.”
Naoki tilted her head at his words as many questions popped in her head. She was curious about this one spirit, it were a human she could easily guess whatever torment they held, but this was a youkai, and quite the pleasant one. She found herself at ease and casual at his presence. At least for the time being.
⌜☪⌟—"I'm Naoki," she responded without a second beat, her masked eyes drifting elsewhere. "Well, to tell you the truth I'm not exactly sure myself. All I know is that I've been here all my life," she hummed truthfully. It was soon she noticed she had been speaking far too openly of herself and turned her head back to the other. "But enough about me. How about you, hm? I'm not human, so I'm not really touchy, and Gin is quite a normal name for a youkai. Heh, I've heard some bizarre names around the spirit world. You don't really resemble the rest, do you?"
A new spirit?
Hearing her voice chime through the air was rather delightful, though it sounded just like a normal voice would. Maybe it was just the setting making everything seem more beautiful than they really are. Yes, that must be it. “I have.” Gin admitted, having not been the one to lie since there is no real reason for it. “These spirits here tend to run their mouth a lot, but its usually about more important things than a new visitor.”
Feet gently walk over the blades of grass to stand himself in front of the female so she would not have to twist in such a way to see him, and this allowed him to see her clearly through the holes in his mask. “Though they chatter,” Gin goes on. “I do not think I picked up your name or why you are here.” Legs bend and he sits himself down on the grass, leaning back just a little to be able to stare at, and study, her.
Well, it wasn't a human who usually were the ones to wander about the forest aimlessly, or any of those odd, bothersome yokai she had grown vexed on. This one seemed pleasant, although she did not give him the luxury of knowing so through her words. Instead she watched from her masked eyes, finding a better sitting position as she hung both her feet from the branch to watch the other.
⌜☪⌟—"Ah, well it seems they're not as skilled as they believe," she chuckled drily. "Do I really need a reason to be here? I suppose it's the matter that I have nowhere else to go, or I have no choice," she shrugged. "But say, isn't it only customary you be the one to introduce yourself first, hm?"
A new spirit?
Gin has seen the girl, and heard about her from the other spirits, and wanted to go see her for himself. It was common that spirits passed on through the forest to get to a new home or a different destination and need a small place to rest but never has one brought up so much commotion.
It was easy to spot her, for she was the only other human looking spirit here as the others tended to stick to their natural forms. His eyes locked on her hair, first of all, as it was fairly long and being gently picked up and caressed by the breeze that danced on through the little clearing.
He spoke up after a few moments of staring, knowing that she might have already felt him there. “Hello.” Was the only thing he said right now, unsure what type of spirit this is and if she is as friendly as she looks from the behind.
Spirits could be so nosy sometimes. Naoki sighed as she watched the sky, not finding particular beauty, for she had been sitting upon the same branch for a long while, and now she had grown bored of the celestial color it gave out. She'd heard the whispers of the other youkai blabbering about her, and yet did not even bother to scold them or scare them off as she would with the humans. She'd just let them gossip before she gave them a piece of her mind.
⌜☪⌟—She spotted another instantly, too tired to tell this one off, so she simply ignored his presence and continued staring ahead. That was until she heard a formal greeting. Her head instantly shot down to meet with another masked individual. A glint of interest sparked within her as she leaned her body to the side for a better view. "Well, that's a better greeting, I guess," she mumbled. "I assume you've been witness of the gossip, haven't ya'?"
