I've always wanted to do this anyway, and even if probably I won't be able to do it fulltime anytime soon I thought I should start.

Episode 1: Sunset

@lmeg9 and I are collabing for the "One Summer With You" Season that @invispot created :3c So here's the art for the first fic/"episode", A Thief's End

I went a little crazy with this because from the Sunset prompt, we went with these ideas: relief, seeing each other again, and post-Conan/Black Org takedown, so for their re-meeting I decided why not recreate their first meeting from the manga? 🤭

One of my favorite little art direction choices 1412 makes is that Kaito Kuroba is drawn with brown hair:

While Kaito KID has black hair:

It helps visually distinguish between the two personas, and it makes sense, because obviously Toichi had black hair so Kaito has to match if he wants to keep up the ruse. But it also leads to some fun little details, like the fact that when he's Unassuming Baseball Cap Man he still has black hair:

(Even when he doesn't necessarily need to, like in Green Dream where he has black hair even though he's just here to scope the place out and at no point does he quickchange from Stagehand to KID.) Or my personal favorite, when he's between disguises and we get the Rare Kaito With Black Hair And No Hat

Kaito with black hair is the equivalent to a service dog wearing its vest. It's a little visual signifier that he's on the job. Currently Working, Please Do Not Pet.
