i think that was the closest our lines blurred between who we were in that moment and where they are in that moment. it was really beautiful, actually. i think we said a lot of things like, "i can't believe we've done this." i remember a lot of "i love you"s and "wow-i can't believe we've done it. i can't believe this happened."

the dodgers won the world series again which is whatever but more importantly: the toronto blue jays had a magical run of a season that brought attention to baseball in canada and has no doubt inspired countless young canadians to play baseball now and in the future. they brought us as close to a world series title as we've been since 1993, and they came about as close to winning the whole thing as you possibly can without actually winning it. the way this team has united people across the country by playing their hearts out night after night is so special and it's going to be hard for them to see right now, but I hope in the future they can understand just how much it's meant to the city, and the country as a whole. I would rather lose game 7 with these guys every year for the rest of my life than go back to back with the la dodgers. what even is a dodger. nothing and no one can ever take away the things this team has achieved this season. blue jays always and forever.
