So for awhile I was extremely annoyed with my social media accounts. I don’t think anybody should consume ignorance on that large of a scale on a daily basis. So I took a break. Occasionally I log on to see what’s going on in my areas of interest (wrestling, gaming, etc.) And still, no matter if I make a brand new account and limit who I follow, the ignorance still lingers.

At what point does a human during the growing process just decide they want to be a half ass adult moving forward? One that doesn’t fact check, one that argues for attention. One that spews misinformation just for the sake of conversation. Where did common sense go? Integrity? Almost everything is a fight about something that either doesn’t really matter or wasn’t reported factually so not a single point is being uttered.

It’s literally just a tunnel of noise at this point. A tunnel full of noise and people who just need some sort of instant gratification. Whether it’s sharing an experience or a very basic photo in your bathroom or of a bag of candy you’re about to try just to have something to respond to when you’re bored. Lately it all feels very unnecessary to me, and performative. I’m not sure if I will ever go back to casual posting/scrolling like I used to. Life’s just much better off the internet for me at this point and I have no desire to catch the world up on it lol.
