Bonus drawing and ramble under the cut!

2025 was a helluva year—not all bad! Lots of good things happened!

At the same time, I had multiple health issues and a bunch of appointments to go to. Had a near cancer scare, but I got the mole removed before it could become more severe. Then there's whatever happened to my toe.

I bought myself a cane! And it's been helping a lot! I've been able to go out more and for longer than I otherwise would! Really came in handy during the trips I took to the Kennedy Space Center and the two conventions I went to! Got a ton of compliments on my Double D cosplay, including from Sam Vincent himself! :>

Didn't make nearly as much progress on my webcomic as I'd like. I tend to get creatively stuck a lot and it sucks to deal with. The New Year's drawings this year are sketches/doodles because I didn't have the motivation to do finished drawings. I tried to make them visually interesting; I hope you don't mind.

No luck with finding employment—I sought help through vocational rehabilitation, but they haven't been able to find me a job. It's nice having the ability to recover from burnout, but it's not feasible to stay unemployed forever (especially since I'll be booted off my parents' health insurance soon). That's going to be fun to deal with.

Ideally, I'd like to release my webcomic by 2027 and actually get more of a life outside of the internet, but that's going to be easier said than done. With how many unexpected challenges 2025 brought, maybe my goal should just be surviving for another year.

Redrew the Squidward from the more recent Drawfee No Control Challenge video as a fun exercise! I went for a pure black and white look since the colorize tool didn't want to cooperate with me.

Good news: I found a new host for my website and connected my url to it!

However, it's still under construction because I have to code every page from scratch again.

I'm also trying to see if I can re-upload my blog posts from Squarespace using the xml file they provided for exporting. The posts should be backed up on my WordPress, but for now, the old links probably won't work. I backed up the blog to the Wayback Machine, but the blog posts don't appear to be working.

Didn't make a finished drawing for this year, but that's fine! (I gave y'all two fully colored drawings last year and two versions of my biannual redraw, cut me some slack.)

This is kinda symbolic of how 2024 felt for me—I went in with high expectations for myself that never ended up materializing.

In 2025, I'm going to prioritize my health more. I already have a cardiologist appointment scheduled for the 13th (hoping to receive a diagnosis I've suspected I had for a while now). I'm not making any commitments until after that.

Well, maybe getting my website up again. I really oughta do that.
