Wow okay this is a very long post. Sorry in advance </3
Yay it’s my stupid Dogify doors node entity designs! These designs are somewhat connected to a story based AU of mine (Destiny Still Arrives), hence the fact that there are some… oddly specific pieces of info here to say the least.
To put things relatively simply, Dread SUCKS (he makes me so nervous in game so I made him an antagonist out of SPITE)
(Note about the ref: About the point “Travels slower than the other nodes” while still true to some extent, isn’t correct. The actual slowest node is A-120, I just thought it was Blitz for a while as his gimmick is to be a timewaster and just based on general observation she just seemed slower. 100% my bad. I’ll fix it eventually probably but right now I don’t want to…)
For clarification right off the bat, this iteration of Blitz is a singular entity. Her fur changes colour every now and then (From green to pink and vice versa), often depending on how she’s feeling — that being said, how Blitz presents himself is largely out of his control.
She died after going back down into the backdoor to try and work as usual, though it was difficult after the deaths of Haste, Lookman and Rush. He ended up finding the timer and levers, and persisted, puzzled. When time ran out, Blitz was in a room with half of it missing, revealing an endless black void. The last thing she heard was Haste’s voice in the chaos, screaming at her to watch out, but to no avail, as a large piece of debris from the vacuum hit him square in the head, killing him instantly.
In his monster form, his right eye is completely missing as a result of what killed her, though her left is still intact and matches her brother’s.
Rushy…. Ily Rush… I accidentally got attached to this screaming png so obviously I had to shove a shedload of unnecessary angst on bro </3
Rush was one of the few entities who fought back against his death, alongside Haste, Figure and in a way, A-120. Rush had always been very strong, and knew this had to be the best time to use it.
That fact, knowing he failed to keep his loved ones safe as he had to witness them all become monsters one by one, crushes him every day.
In his dreams and passing thoughts, he is frequently tormented by Dread, who uses his guilt against him.
Regardless, he’s generally very friendly and when he isn’t burdened with his past he loves to be with his peers and cares deeply for his loved ones. He often goes down to the Backdoor to check on Blitz, and his friendship with Ambush remained as strong as ever.
He often takes care of Sally while she’s in the hotel (Since Grampy and Sammy/The Groudskeeper can’t keep an eye on her), and sometimes leaves rooms dark for Screech to play around in while fixing lights.
In life, Ambush was emotionally constipated and struggled to open up. This has carried over into his life as a monster — though less of an issue than before. During his life, working in the hotel helped him socialise with his colleagues and they became his support system, which has remained through their transformations.
He generally takes quite a pessimistic approach to his responsibility — he wants to be a threat, something to overcome. Something to make the trespassers want to steer clear of the Hotel. Because it isn’t safe there.
He’s also very unforgiving — if you’re in sight, you’re toast, no matter how far you are away from him, he can see you and will not hesitate to disintegrate you.
But in a different regard, he wants to test you. Sound/vibration cues are key for survival in the Hotel, and Ambush is deliberately unpredictable so you can exercise using them. If you can survive him, you can survive just about anything.
A-60 is a little more enthusiastic about his new “job” than any of the other entities are comfortable with. Ever since he learned that the humans he killed would just regenerate in the lobby, he’d murk anyone he saw outside of a locker.
Were it not for A-90 tiding him over, A-60 would no doubt be a killing machine.
Despite his impulsive tendencies, A-60 is still reeling from ever present memories of his death, his life before he became an entity, and how he doesn’t know if his life will ever go back to the way it was. He knows he has problems, and often sticks close to A-90 because he knows that A-90 will stop him from going too far.
Whether or not A-90 is wholly aware of this is unclear, but it’s always worked.
5- A-90 (Look I know he isn’t a node entity but come on you literally can’t add A-60 and A-120 to a run without A-90 it’d be unfair NOT to include him)
In my AU, A-90 works a bit differently to how he does in the game. Canonically, in a multiplayer run, A-90 attacks everyone at once, but in this iteration his attack is client sided. When he teleports, it’s to a random individual, and if THEY move in the split second he is there, he whacks them with his stop sign as an instinctive self defence reaction.
A-90 teleports against his will, so he doesn’t know when or who he’ll end up in front of, though he’s pretty sure he only teleports to players, not the other entities. So they don’t have to worry.
After an attack (or just aggro moment) A-90 is able to teleport back to where he was, or at least out of sight — the adrenaline from his brief aggro state is what gives him the strength to do so.
As mentioned above, A-90 is the voice of reason for the other nodes. He doesn’t like hurting people (not in the sense that the others do, A-90 just refuses to), and managed to remain relatively level headed even after his death. He is the oldest of them all, and thus feels responsible for the others — despite them all being adults themselves. However he respects them and they respect him back.
A-120’s detection range is very large, with a diameter spanning about 30 rooms of average size. Even in life, A-120 has always been hard of sight, so he was already well adjusted to not being able to see. The rock was his idea, and A-90 and Rush helped attach it onto his tail. Every time he bashes it onto the ground, he gets a brief idea of where things and others are in rough shapes.
As mentioned before, this detection goes a long way, so yes — A-120 always knows where you are.
However, he is still respectful. If a trespasser is inside a locker, he will leave them be, though he’s more than capable of bashing the thing in, killing them instantly.
He is also aware of his strength — his armoured pelt and lower legs, along with the muscle he has developed, make him an incredibly powerful entity capable of insta-killing regardless of who the victim is. He makes sure to be careful around the other entities, making sure to not injure them accidentally.
If you’re wondering why Surge isn’t here, his role in the story is far more linked to the micro-plot involving the Outdoors entities, at least right now, so his design will likely be posted with theirs. In general the Outdoors entities tend not to get involved with the main plot, and dedicate their time to keeping the Outdoors preserved. After all, that lot have a whole other can of worms to deal with (Being the world Lotus).
Bear in mind this AU is in the fairly early stages of development and any of the info listed here is subject to change! It’s also not exhaustive… if my motivation is kind to me I should hope to reveal more in the future… also the fact that they’re dogs adds absolutely nothing to the plot, in fact I’d rather they were humans, I just have to dogify/quadrupedify every interest I gain sorry guys it’s a legal obligation.
