i hate the culture of girls being supporters and boys being performers. i think the thing is that boys will support other boys, girls will support boys, girls would support girls, but boys don’t support girls. boys aren’t interested in going to see an all girl band because they’d feel entitled to any attention those girls will get over them. they don’t see girls as existing on their own as creative beings, they see them as nurturers. they see them as secondary to their own achievements, always there to hold their hand and congratulate them.
