i love racing yaoi as much as the next person but i find it really annoying when people try to chalk up all of oscar's issues with carlos as him being 'jealous of carlando'. like i feel like that takes away from the actual validity of oscar's frustration when it comes to how carlos races and of how irritating it must be as a racing driver when it's constantly the same guy ruining good race results for you (belgium 2023 and miami 2024 also come to mind). i get its fun to make up little narratives but oscar's problem with carlos has literally nothing to do with lando in any way and when people frame it like it does it makes it seem like they think oscar is unreasonable for being upset when carlos does stupid things that ruin oscar's race. like its not a good enough reason so they have to turn oscar into the jealous teammate/lover as the real justification behind his negative feelings toward carlos.

Hilarious how 4s love to scream about "Oscar Give-Me-The-Place-astri" because he asked to swap one time during one race, but the SECOND Norris gets behind his teammate you can start a timer as to how long it'll be before he's on the radio whining about how he's faster so he deserves pit priority and preferential strategy and team orders.
