I have a feeling that kimi's future is going to look a lot like charles' not in the lack of titles way but in the "he can never do anything wrong nothing is ever his fault " perception that is already being built around him. I cannot imagine kimi being put under the kind of scrutiny and nitpicking that drivers like Norris or Russell get for every single thing they do

Could be wrong, but I have a feeling, if George wins the next couple of races, Kimi will be under a lot of pressure and he'll choke. If Mercedes can get their shit together and fix George's car of course.

25 point gap is nothing, and he can totally fill it. I hope he takes the chance, and I hope his team supports him with it.

Listen Kimi is an incredible driver and he's accomplished a lot so this is absolutely no shade to him. BUT. I absolutely think George can get the wdc BECAUSE Kimi will choke.

I'm still very new to this sport and don't know all the ins and outs or what last season looked like race to race, but what I've seen this season is that Kimi is a really good driver with an amazing car. George is an amazing driver with a fucking shit ass car and is still holding his second place.

George is consistent and he gives results even when he has to fight with his car. If his team would just listen to him when he says there's something wrong he would be a lot further ahead of Kimi at this point in my opinion. Everyone at Mercedes, including George, wants to say theres no favoritism going on but they put Kimi on a pedestal and brush George's concerns under the rug until after the race and then they go "oh yeah I guess something was wrong".

I don't know, like I said I don't really know much about how the sport works as a whole and over the season and all the inner politics but I do know what haad working individual looks like. Someone who is putting their head down as much as they can to pull out results in a car that is fighting them at every turn (literally) and thats George.

When his car is running at the same level at Kimi's, he is undeniably the better driver and I think that really shows in the fact that hes fighting for the championship and closing the gap in a car that is unreliable. Where Kimi, on the other hand, is fighting with his engineers over the radio insisting he can get a point and crying about how it wasn't his fault when he got track limits when it absolutely was his fault.

Really what its going to come down to, I think, is the experience and thats what George has.
