Jackson and UTP were high school sweethearts, they met their freshmen year of high school. Of course they bantered at first and never thought about dating. But they did start dating Sophomore year and continued through high school and college. It was their Junior year of high school that changed everything. They ended up getting pregnant with their first. But they made it work and they both ended up graduating and moving onto college. They got married in their Sophomore year after their second child was born. Everything seemed to be going good Jackson was on the police force, until Jackson's brother left. UTP could tell Jackson felt responsible for Orion's kids. That is what caused tension between them because while Jackson was busy with his own family he was also taking care of Victoria, his former sister in law and his nieces and nephew. UTP filed for divorce, it wasn't that they fell out of love or anything, she just felt like Jackson cared more about being there for his nieces and nephew.
