everything is about the ninja turtles if you’re dedicated enough
'Turtles Noir'
All shot practically using real figures and miniature sets. The rain was added in digitally the rest is all real.
There he is! There's our guy! The noir vibes are fantastic on this.
Sorry if this is jarring but I agree with OP that its neat. I also think that this is important to know because I probably wouldn't have thought twice about this.
Most obviously I'm reblogging this because it can be a study in turtle-specific disabilities that could be used to impact our AUs and fics in interesting ways. It would incorporate realism and also inform readers that this is not a healthy practice. Many birds with one stone.

I love this!

I love him so much
I am obsessed with the defunct NYC City Hall subway station, just read the Wiki page in its entirety.
And I am both obsessed from the perspective of designing a turtle liar here, especially since it inspired the second turtle liar in the 1990 movie after the first got ransacked.
But I am also obsessed with it from the perspective of an architect (not a commercial architect or civil engineer by any account, a secret third kind of arcvitent/engineer) it was a whole new arch style to America. The construction was unique in its quick set cement allowing it to be built without support and it didn't rely on a keystone at the top of the arch. They had their own patented sound damping tiles to prevent excessive echo.
Absolutely insane. The architect was Rafael Gaustavino btw.

Thank you mostly to David Herszenson who shared these with Google maps. They helped me understand how the skylights worked underground and captured the entry and decay most wonderfully.
In the moving train image you can see how wide the gap would be between the train car and the center door, part of the reason why it fell out of popularity regardless of the mobile stairs they had at the platform to set down for people. They also tarred the stained glass during WWII which is so tragic.
Absolutely adore this station. Love the idea that city hall also has a retired bunker below it the turtles could use.
Wrong party
Omfg the expressions are so perfect this is the best way to stylize the live action turtles! Love love love this!
Yo! I made a fun lil quiz!
Find out which hero in a half shell from the 2016 bayverse movies would be into you!
It’s meant to be cute and the results are fun!
Enjoy!
I can go to bed happy tonight 😅💙

Looks like we're 4 for 4 folks, we should have a quadruple date between us with our boys 💚
I know sometimes we like to use the turtles as an escape and so we dip into their world, but I like to have them dip into our world.
Let me know if anyone else has done this, so curious. But here's my

Currently watching TMNT 1990 and renewing my love for the turtles through the ages. I wasn't even born when this came out but I grew up with the VHS for this movie and the two sequels.
It's amazing to me how the plots differ, designs are modified, and some personality traits are exemplified in later versions.
The world they live in changes, from NYC in the late 80s, where Shredder relies on countercultute punks and troublemaking kids to supply his foot clan with fighters (an arguably more interesting yet comical plot) to modern day (2010s NYC in the Bayverse version) where Shredder and Sacks essentially hire militant mercenaries, but the turtles remain.
Also. Might I say, this version of April and Casey is one of the best versions of them. I loved Mutant Mayhem for adding the New York native attitude back into April, something that I'll never forgive Micheal Bay for managing to make Megan Fox the blandest character possible.
I hope to see more TMNT in the future, I think that along with Deadpool as a brand, the turtles being in tune with pop culture is key to their characters. This is another thing I thought Mutant Mayhem did great at bringing back. I know it's frowned upon in modern Hollywood to name drop brands or famous names in jokes but I hope that goes out of style or they do it anyways in future movies and series.
Man every iteration of TMNT is good, just in it's own way. I hope the TMNT craze never dies.
Master Post
Hello, everyone. As I've stated before in my bio, this blog is rated 18+. My content may not be appropriate for all audiences and I will add warnings where appropriate. I will list my stories here with links for easy navigating. So far, I'll be keeping it to the TMNT fandom. The content I write could be from any iteration of TMNT but the look likely will be Bayverse because I just love them.
Thank you to everyone who's stopped by and has given me likes and followed this page. I hope not to disappoint. Please keep reading if you would like to make a request or find other stuff I've written, I've put it all in one place.
Asks are open! I didn't realize I needed to turn that on, sorry!
