i’m not mad i’m just tired this is my number one pet peeve PLEASE LISTEN TO ME
come and get it like a bitch

funky sex machine
It says ‘bitch-funky’ in what appears to be the script. And even if this somehow wouldn’t be the real script, (it doesn’t have an actual source, but it looks legit, saying it’s copyrighted by Ben Elton, Rik Mayall and Lise Meyer) when Vyvyan says it, there’s no pause. He says it like one word. I also don’t think it was supposed to be grammatically correct? Bitch-funky is not a word, but I think that’s part of the joke. It just sounds funny.
Nah that ain’t real. It’s not part of the joke. Ade kept messing up the line and said it that way because he was frustrated. All the things I’ve seen with it typed as “bitch-funky” were typed by people who heard the line incorrectly, not as part of the actual script, yo.
I feel deceived now. My life is a lie.
here’s the thing: “funky sex machine” was a pre-existing phrase (it possibly bears to note that a later comic strip episode - glc: the carnage continues - also uses this phrase), so it would make no sense to directly tack on “bitch”. as far as i can tell, the sentence exists as a singular clause wherein “come and get it” acts as the predicate and “like a bitch” serves as a proposition concerning the subject. the subject, in this case, is the bank manager, substituted by vyvyan as “funky sex machine” - “come and get it like a bitch, bank manager”. "like a” is a first conditional that indicates the bank manager’s impending action - “come and get it like a bitch”. to separate “bitch” would render it, “come and get it like a, bank manager”. to describe the phrase as “bitch-funky” leaves the clause with a predicate and first conditional proposition but excludes the subject. while it’s possible the subject may be implied, “bitch-funky” actually has no grammatical meaning nor conclusion. the substitution of “funky sex machine” is just a saucy little extra that directly coincides with vyvyan’s personality, as we’ve already seen by his comments about babycham, etc.
