I AM SO HAPPY THAT THEY’RE KEEPING MAMORU’S PSYCHIC POWERS. They’re a big part of his character, but also they set up a lot of the interesting world-building stuff (especially with the Golden Crystal and how I think they must be part of the small slice of power Mamoru can reach from it) and provide a lot of the atmospheric sense of looming danger and also it provides something they need to talk about AND ALSO THEY’RE JUST REALLY COOL and it makes sense because Mamoru is absolutely that guy who analyzes things and is all about strategy and trying to figure out a plan, over just using brute power. THAT’S WHY HE AND USAGI ARE SUCH A GOOD TEAM, because she does have the raw power and open heart that complements his more grounded approach.
