Susie telling Ralsei "You can't be the only one with an empty room, it's too sad" is so unbelievably fucked up knowing that her room in the light world has nothing but an old poster and a bed with no sheets and not even food to eat, and Kris's half of their bedroom is completely barren except for a cage reminding them of their role in the knight's plan. But Ralsei made rooms for them filled with things they love and Susie promises to do the same for him. Copies are monochrome but they color each other in with care...

walks onto the stage. mettaton and spamton have (INTENTIONALLY)extremely similar arcs but spamtons is more hyped up because hes a masculine man(red dot appears on my forehead)

i cant insist enough like. toby intentionally built spamton to be a cheap knockoff of mettaton. he said he wanted a real mettaton neo fight in deltarune, even down to the beta version of the song for the fight. he scrapped some of it and built spamton out of the pieces, someone who literally steals parts of mettaton for himself because he doesnt have an original bone in his body.

"Once Spamton's presence in the NEO battle became solidified, I realized the original track wouldn't fit anymore. So, I tried to work in some more sinister and creepy feelings... That idea became this." -Toby Fox in Deltarunes 9th Newsletter.

mettaton essentially faked his death and made a pact with a friend he made. spamton took on sketchier services and scammed people. mettaton dragged himself out of the pit he was in until his fingers bled and made a brand for himself, a name for himself. spamton repeated what he was told and let himself be dragged around like a puppet. mettaton remained original, pushing his original ideas, working endlessly. spamton took on different looks from people and echoed what was popular to get something, anything. they both were willing to kill to get out of their situations.

spamton wears mettatons skin and is surprised when he's not his own person.
