“i think you and sutton need to start a club, he called me a ‘mean mommy’ because i wouldn’t let him throw food at his sister,” thea sighed, “xena will probably join too, just so she doesn’t feel left out.”

“They’re good kids.” Kurt let out a soft laugh, “Thank god she hasn’t realized what a pushover I am when it comes to them. It’s all over the day she figures that out and starts taking advantage of it.” His words were followed by another small laugh. “Don’t worry, I can always eat.”

“they’re pretty cute too,” thea laughed. “oh, it’ll be over for both of us once she figures that out, you are her favorite person though, i don’t think she’ll take too much advantage of you.”

“well you’re right about that- she won’t admit it, but i’m pretty sure i’ve seen mom close her eyes during certain parts.”

“mom is arguably the worst when it comes to watching ‘scary’ movies because she tries not to admit she’s freaked out, but if you look over at her at the really scary parts or when there’s a jump scare, you can always tell.”

“Don’t worry about it, they were perfectly behaved.” The mutant never had any complaints about helping out and honestly the night in was always welcomed. “I had a little something earlier, but I could definitely eat some free food again.”

“and here i was thinking my reaction to seeing jurassic park at a young age would be enough to tell you it was a bad idea,” daniel responded with a laugh, “she could’ve tried with all her might, i wouldn’t have let her,” he added.

“at this point, being scared of jurassic park is just a family trait.. fionn always wanted to watch it when we first started dating and i’d always get too freaked out to sleep..”

“in retrospect, i can see why letting xena watch jurassic park wasn’t my best parenting move, but in my defense, if i had kept telling her no she would have just tried to con you or dad into letting her watch it anyway, so at least now she knows it scared her..”

thea smiled, “honestly... please do it. the sooner this gets done, the sooner i can get home to my kids, who will probably make me watch moana with them for the fifth time this week, which sounds way better than community service.”

“no. you’re getting all our little blonde heads mixed up - that was ME.” she wasn’t as ashamed of that small fact as she probably should have been, either. as she’d said to costumed folk that had held her back - he deserved it. “and i wasn’t banned, for the record. it was a minor offense. i can’t go back this side of 23, but once i can… oh boy. once i can.” hell, it seemed, would be unleashed. “octavius climbed out of space mountain and got lost. it was a wild, wacky time at disney world for the whole fam.”

“i’m convinced xena would try to rope the vast majority of family that she knows into coming if i were to plan a trip to disney..” thea sighed, “i’m not even going to ask how he managed that..”

it wasn’t unheard of that thea would talk to fionn or dante, it usually happened when one of her kids were acting up and she was frustrated, she usually didn’t see them though. “how are the two of you here?” theodosia exclaimed while blinking, convinced it was her eyes playing tricks on her. “you see them too, right?” she asked, turning to her company in the multimedia center where they were told wait out the storm and to be told they could leave.
