love when a film just in a few scenes totally demolishes the military industrial complex, fake patriotism and the "communist" witch hunting in USA. And this was made more than 50 years ago. Rarely will you see even nowadays such criticism and mocking of US military, especially coming from an American major studio backed film. As relevant as when it was made. When people go into it expecting simply a quirky black comedy with an unusual love story and then get so much more.
