Her name is Lillian Aether Lillie and she's 15 by the time she stands up for herself. Finally escaped the clutches of a long and loveless relationship with Mommy Dearest Mother, Lillie is now largely on her own- were it not for the friendships that supported her and a potential rekindled bond with her estranged brother, and the little lion out of space.

Now it's her own time to become a trainer- and with one specific trainer in mind as her idol in what to aim for, her goals are highly set!

The amount of mental and emotional scars that Lillie has probably rivals Ree’s physical ones. The little blond makes sure not to get any closer, makes sure to not accidentally touch her.

She’s hurting. Ree’s gut twists, a little, but they swallow it down.

“… look. A lot of the stuff we did was shitty. I didn’t really get it when I was little. I figured we were only doin’ what we could ta survive, yknow? But that’s… not an excuse for how you got hurt”

They’ve grown up a lot since they were twelve and watching their world fall apart.

Part of her hates that this person knows so readily how she feels, scared, anxious. But they're clearly coming from a good place, one that means to help her dissuade those fears.

"You don't need to do this." She might sound a little irritated, but only in a defensive manner. Doesn't like the idea of yet someone else babying her. "You don't even know me. And I don't even know who you are! Can you at least tell me your name?"

It’s been so long that they… sort of… forgot about the whole.

Kidnapping thing. not that ree was ever part of it — they were too small to really participate. They were left behind in po town most of the time.

She's only a human girl, she'd cannot help that her discomfort about the idea of hearing more about Skull here than before is visible on her face. But clearly they don't want her to pretend like she's okay with it...? Lillie's not entirely sure what to make of this person yet.

Her hands shake a little. Barely noticably. Her scars are more of a mental sort, the kind you don't readily see so quickly. There's some cold sweat at the back of the girl's neck, but she tries to smile still.

"Uhm, thank you...? I-I... uhm,"

She swallows hard, angry with herself, steels her gaze and channels her new confidence into that eyecontact she now establishes. She smiles, more securely now, despite still feeling fear, deep inside.

"If you're from Team Skull, w-why'd you take the effort to reach out to me and warn me...?"

It'd been a while since Lillie'd last thought about Team Skull, let alone Guzma. Thinking about all that brings back some very unpleasant feelings she'd so far repressed, but she tries to not make it this kid's problem.

She reaches out, carefully taking the pastry bag from their hands.

"I mean... uhm, thank you? I'm sorry I don't remember you specifically... I won't lie, I've been making an active effort not to think about Team Skull." She realizes too late that this statement could come off a little rude.

She'd barely even spent a lot of time visiting back home in Alola and was already getting accosted by someone she doesn't recognize well- and yet the face rings a bell, vaguely. Maybe she'd passed them by ages ago?

"A-ah, I'm sorry, but I don't recall your name...? Do I know you?"

It feels terribly rude to respond like this when offered a gift, but she knows better than to accept food gifts from people she doesn't know well, regardless of wether they're a kid like her or not.
