hi everyone, its been a long time coming - but for now this blog & my sanji blog are probably going to stay defunct and unused. ill keep up this as an archive, and i hope people respect the characterization and lore that azz and i decided to write here and leave it well alone. beyond that, if you'd like to follow my current blog ( my oc + comic blog ) then give this a like and i will follow you there when i check my posts periodically. i only have like 10 active people here, and there's no real reason to stick around if you don't want to - feel free to softblock me here and on sanji at any time you'd like.

i don't think i have any intentions of coming back here. i have moved on to greener pastures, and so has azz (as you can tell from his ace blog going inactive a year ago). we both hold acelaw close to our chests, and its become a much more personal canon and fond memory in a period of our lives both of us have moved on from and grown through. thank you all for the interest you had in my sanji and law, and i'm also sorry to those who i ended up making uncomfortable in some way even though it wasn't my intention to do so.

sometimes self care is finding the energy to clean your entire room when you really shouldn't because your backs been flaring but you're overestimating your ability to function due to the ibuprofen patches and gel you've been slapping on interchangebly for the past week

a real quick short PSA but i've noticed this trend recently between folks in the RPC. not to nail specifically any other communities, but this is something that's noticeable regarding a rule that is often used in multiple rules pages and guidelines: "communication is key". while it's a great rule to have and to emphasize that you (the partner) are open about communicating, there is one thing that needs to be stated for this to work:

you, the partner, also need to communicate with your partners and others in your roleplaying community when you are uncomfortable or bothered about something.

you cannot preach for communication but turn around and block your partners or mutuals when something that bothers you is not mentioned or spoken about. not everyone will remember what your guidelines are on day one of being mutuals. you cannot expect everyone to tag what you have blacklisted; you have to ask. often times, you have to come out of your comfort zone and TALK to partners if something bothers you.

"what if i'm scared that they'll say something nasty to me?" do it scared. do it terrified but with confidence because you want to talk. if they react poorly, then they are not a suitable roleplaying partner to keep around. you will know your worth and your own personal expectations with what you want.

this also includes vague-posting; why do you think people get so upset when they see you post about them in a vague manner? it's disrespectful. have basic respect for your partners as they are human JUST LIKE YOU. communicating between one another like adults (because many writers in multiple roleplaying communities are adults) is important and you will learn to be more forward and open if you just ask and talk.

if you need something tagged? ask them! if there's someone they interact with that makes you uncomfortable? blacklist their tag! if you have issues or something that has bugged you in the past with that partner? talk to them about it! be open minded and give a benefit of the doubt.

i know that there are a lot of writers who are fucking terrified to do anything beyond their own choices. you own your blog - DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO. talk to people! ask questions! that should be an expectation and be taught among communities to talk and be open! and if others can't return that respect to you? block them. you DO NOT deserve disrespect, no matter what people may say is "deserving".

tl;dr preach communication but also communicate. it's a job that requires both parties to do.

law  seemed  quite  relaxed  by  the  idea.  it  only  boiled  within  ace  more  enthusiasm.  it  had  been  a  really  long  time  since  his  rehabilitation  ,  and  the  results  were  not  bad.  he  was  also  finding  his  body  better  ,  after  all  the  surgeries  and  treatment  he  could  slowly  stick  his  head  out  of  the  sand.  at  least  ,  he  hoped  so.  he  could  not  count  on  meeting  those  who  wandered  down  the  paths  of  information  about  the  death  of  the  fire  fist.  it  was  still  ,  a  bit  too  early  for  that.  ❝  i  promised  bepo  that  i  will  let  him  meet  uta  in  the  future  but  for  now  a  screen  will  do.  ❞  he  commented  ,  stretching  and  putting  his  muscular  arms  behind  his  head. 

❝  by  the  way  do  you  have  somethin'  i  can  wear  ?  can't  go  out  and  show  my  mug  just  like  that.  ❞  honestly  ,  he  would  prefer  to  avoid  complications  involving  consequences  if  someone  actually  recognized  him  ,  but  there  was  little  chance  of  that.  ace  was  dead  to  the  world  ,  a  ghost  walking  through  the  waves  of  the  sea.  maybe  somewhere  in  his  heart  there  was  hope  that  he  would  see  at  least  some  familiar  face  there  in  the  distance.  ace  was  dying  to  know  how  everyone  was  doing  after  all  this  time  ,  he  wanted  to  see  them  ,  however  ,  still  impossible.

the surgeon of death knew that it was only a matter of time before ace longed to venture out from the tang without any real excuse to keep him stashed away like a hoarded treasure. it had been one of the main driving factors for ace continuing to push himself forward in physical therapy, rebuilding his strength slowly & steadily in hopes of reuniting with those whom he'd risked his life to protect. law knew what it was like to struggle with cabin fever, in spite of the large space below-deck made to accomodate long stretches of time underneath the waves.

‘ i do, actually. you'll have to try it on first, though, in case i need to make any adjustments. ’ ace had been cleared for more intense muscle-training once law was happy with his mobility & had bulked up rather quickly, almost entirely back at the mass held prior to marineford. it hadn't been too long since law had taken ace's measurements, but law had something else they needed to grab before surfacing.

the surgeon of death sighs in exasperation, tap tap tapping against kikoku's scabbard. a twig crunches underneath law's boot, snapping in half. the sound echoes through the trees ominously. ‘ only making it far more difficult to track down. ’ they knew that finding the legendary plant would be a pain in the ass, yet never this difficult. law is beginning to suspect it may not exist — that they've been sent on a wild goose chase in hopes of keeping them out of the way. ‘ what say you, captain koby? think this sidequest is a bunch of horseshit? ’

❝  y'can't  choose  whether  or  not  you  will  be  protected  as  a  child.  you  can't  choose  your  parents,  who  takes  care  of  ya'.  ❞  ace  shifts  a  bit,  the  position  a  little  weird  with  the  size  of  his  own  physique.  in  spite  of  the  slow  relaxation  that  slowly  flowed  through  his  muscles,  the  stress  escaping  from  his  system  nevertheless  did  not  allow  him  to  wash  off  the  uneasy  feeling.  of  being  held  like  that.  even  if  his  primitive  bodily  reaction  was  to  snuggle  closer  to  the  doctor's  body,  ace  could  no  longer  recall  the  moment  when  he  was  held  in  an  embrace  so  tenderly.  it  scared  him,  but  also  eased  at  the  same  time.  a  mix  of  feelings  boiling  within  his  form.  

the  warm  breath  softly  caressing  the  doctor's  neck,  ace  resting  his  head  on  the  shoulder  for  support.  words  that  were  just  words  but  carried  a  weight  that  caught  his  heart.  a  lone,  flickering  flame  in  his  chest  prompting  the  corners  of  his  mouth  to  even  raise  so  slightly.  to  form  a  shadow  of  smile  lingering  over  his  freckles.  ❝  y'know,  if  luffy  or  sabo  saw  me  now  i  think  they  would  fall  down  laughin'.  ❞  an  amused  huff  puffing  the  air  through  his  nostrils,  ace  shaking  his  head  slightly  at  the  mere  thought. 

❝  when  i  was  a  kid  i  had  to  be  strong.  i  couldn't  let  myself  cry  in  front  of  luffy,  not  when  i  was  the  stronger  and  older  one  y'know  ?  even  when  sabo  ....  ❞  lips  rolled  into  a  thin  line.  a  moment  of  silence  dropped  heavy  onto  the  atmosphere.  the  fire  fist  tried  to  get  over  it,  squeezing  his  hazel  eyes  for  a  mere  moment  before  continuing.  ❝  i've  just  never  been  held  like  this.  it  makes  me  feel  weak.  ❞  he  hums,  cuddling  closer  into  the  doctor.  ❝  but  sometimes  maybe  being  weak  isn't  so  bad.  ❞

law's muscles flex & relax in response to ace's own shuffling, shifting a little too to make their position more comfortable. they eventually manage to find a position that works, law still able to smooth their hand across ace's arm & back. the other now propping up law's head. they understand the unease that comes with being given a kindness one has never had - or been deprived of, that same apprehension not allowing them to relax immediately into trusting others. even now, law flinches at physical contact that they do not initiate or have time to mentally prepare for.

‘ mmm, i wouldn't describe this as weak. vulnerable, perhaps. baring ones' self ... which you have done quite a bit of, today. ’ a half joke based on the state of undress that law is currently in; but they aren't referring to the physical. or, well — not entirely; it's also an acknowledgement of just how much ace has willingly lowered his own pretenses and allowed law to see. allowed law to see just how similar yet different the two of them really are.

the surgeon's head rolls on their shoulders ever so slightly, pulling back from where ace has nuzzled into their neck. a hand comes from ace's back to softly guide the fire fist's gaze, meeting him eye-to-eye. ‘ i would like to believe that mugiwara-ya, and sabo, would be happy to know that you're allowing yourself to be soft. ’ tattoo'd fingers move to graze softly over the pronounced cheekbone, pushing back some of that dark hair & tucking it behind ace's ear. ‘ thank you, ace-ya, for allowing me to know you. ’

ace’s  eyes  did  not  follow  law’s.  the  surgeon's  eyes  shifted  aside,  as  if  he  were  scared  ace  would  see  what  was  really  going  on  behind  them.  he  was  fine  with  it  any  way.  he  didn't  need  to  make  eye  contact  to  realize  that  their  hearts  were  in  sync,  that  they  were  riding  the  same  waves.  

he  was  relieved  to  find  that  law  had  returned  unscathed.  after  all,  this  was  all  he  had  been  waiting  for  since  the  doctor  had  left  him  as  well  as  the  crew  who  had  been  taking  care  of  the  sub  in  his  absence.  the  right  reaction  for  ace  would  have  been  anger,  but  he  couldn't  allow  his  resentment  ruin  this  exciting  time.  always  there,  faithful  as  a  dog.

as  the  fire  fist's  open  palms  scooped  the  surgeon  in  for  a  tighter  hug,  he  could  feel  the  body  again.  human  contact  was  something  he  had  been  missing  throughout  the  period  when  law  was  absent.  he  longed  to  feel  the  warmth  of  physical  contact  and  the  surge  of  emotion  it  evoked.  scorching  and  blazing  like  a  fire  started  in  the  midst  of  nowhere.  

the  beacon  that  led  them  safely  through  the  night's  shadows  to  one  another.  ace's  heart  tightened  in  an  almost  unbearable  aching  of  ecstasy  at  the  news  that  luffy  would  shortly  make  his  debut,  and  his  eyes  widened  with  anticipation.  he,  too,  had  been  awaiting  this.  between  sessions  of  physical  therapy  that  kept  him  confined  to  bed  for  hours  at  a  time.  his  lower  lip  quivered  as  he  leaned  forward  and  hugged  law.

❝  thank  ya'  ...  for  keepin'  the  cover.  i  didn't  want  luffy  to  find  out  i  was  still  alive.  i'm  sure  that  would  only  make  his  journey  longer,  and  furthermore,  he's  pretty  careless.  if  he  found  out  i  was  here,  he'd  definitely  do  somethin'  stupid.  ❞  he  sighed  and  released  his  grip  so  as  not  to  exacerbate  the  situation.  ❝  bepo  was  worried  about  ya'  too.  what  exactly  happened  when  you  were  with  him,  by  the  way  ?  ❞

there were many a reason why law had elected for zou to be their point of contact : it was generally unknown, or uncared for, by the likes of doflamingo; yet still had some point of connection to the outside world. ace's question about what happened during law's time with luffy brought the firm features back to his face. ‘ you'd be better off asking mugiwara-ya, when he gets here. ’ law's voice is muffled against ace's shoulder, yet makes no attempt to move away.

ace has said this is fine, so law allows himself the ability to relish in the physical affection he hadn't realized he would miss this much.

‘ it's a long story — one that i'm not ready to recount just yet ... at least, not when we have guests on the way. ’ law's gaze fixes on a spot of ace's back that's visible, hiding away on zou allows him the freedom to not wear something as constricting as a boiler suit. it finds the fading edge of a scar that resides there, a hand snaking around the fire fist's ribs to softly trace the change in texture. even if ace may find these scars unsightly, law has missed them — missed ace.

‘ i'll tell you, though — soon. soon. ’

i was talking abt this with azz yday and ed also samebrained but.

law has very severe insomnia which means he will be up for days at a time & only sleep 2-4 hours at a time unless he's absolutely exhausted. it's pretty resistant for the most part so the only way he's managed to actually get rest is by wearing his body and mind out to the point he can't do anything else but recouperate. this basically ends up manifesting as marathon sex (either one night stands or with a partner, depending on verse). sometimes if its really bad then there is a specific Potion Concoction that either he or the crew will put into his drinks/food so that he does actually pass out. another surefire way of getting law to sleep is by using his devil fruit for a while - so basically sparring / fighting.

the main reason why law deals with insomnia is just because he's used to staying up for ungodly hours to perform intricate surgeries with very few assistants - for a long time it was just shachi and penguin (for as much as law wouldve liked bepo to help, having fur shedding everywhere would've been unsanitary - bepo is instead on nurse and/or Pillow Duty for law's post surgery coma). law will also fall asleep for a long period of time after surgeries, especially more intense ones - both due to a combination of just focusing for such a long time AND because he uses his devil fruit to reduce the invasiveness of a particular surgery. it aids with healing. he will often end up not using his devil fruit for particular cuts or what have you so that if law were to die, his work wouldn't be undone. another reason why law struggles with insomnia is just autism, ocd + trauma wombo combo. which is why law is perpetually exhausted bc he's damned if he does sleep (chronic pain) and damned if he doesnt (insomnia).

law huffs, irritation sticking to the back of his throat. there's sleep in his tear ducts, lashes sticky and somewhat wet from where he'd been asleep moments before. ‘ was this your plan? ’ one of law's legs is raised and resting on the warmth of ace's shoulders, large hands pawing at exposed sides — ace having likely hiked up law's oversized shirt whilst he was asleep. ‘ rutting against me until i wake up and give you what you're begging for? ’

he  couldn't  stop  panting.  like  an  animal  on  the  wild,  running  and  running  through  the  endless  pit  of  the  forest.  he  felt  as  if  he  had  run  a  marathon  and  hadn't  even  moved  an  inch  from  their  bed.  it  was  filthy,  ludicrous  even,  on  his  part  to  not  be  able  to  last  even  an  hour  longer  until  his  doctor  opened  his  eyes.  however,  all  people  were  a  bit  greedy,  selfish  and  so  was  ace.  with  a  strange  heat  growing  in  his  body,  despite  being  indifferent  to  the  temperatures  this  kind  of  flame  was  impossible  to  ignore.  

it  burned  him  like  a  candle  from  within,  making  him  turn  in  the  bed,  trash  from  side  to  side  and  claw  onto  the  material  of  the  sheets  until  he  couldn't  take  it  anymore.  law  wouldn't  mind  right  ?  he  never  seemed  to  mind  when  ace  started  to  be  overly  too  affectionate  for  their  own  good.  therefore,  he  eventually  overstepped  his  own  boundaries.  it  started  with  a  gentle  touching,  to  feel  at  least  the  texture  of  the  skin  of  his  beloved  doctor  under  his  fingertips.  then  it  became  a  stronger  feeling,  he  needed  more.  this  was  not  enough.  

that's  why  he  sat  up,  gazing  long  at  the  sleeping  doctor  to  at  least  read  any  sign  of  discomfort  from  his  face.  it  was  as  if  the  hunter  kept  watching  his  prey  closely,  in  the  most  vulnerable  state.  his  lower  lip  caught  between  the  sharpness  of  canines,  swollen  from  the  previous  chewing  on  it  to  calm  down.  his  skin  flushed  red,  making  the  sprinkles  of  freckled  pop  out  more,  even  radiant  in  the  amber  light  of  one  of  the  switched-on  lamps  in  the  cabin.  then  he  decided  to  reach  for  his  ankle  to  hike  up  law's  leg.  place  it  on  his  shoulder  and  scoop  closer.  

pressing  the  raging  arousal  to  the  surgeon's  own  sweet  spot  and  grind.  slowly,  muffling  the  groans  and  moans  somewhere  deep  in  the  clenching  throat.  eyebrows  falling  and  his  head  thrown  back.  feeling  the  overwhelming  burn  going  through  the  firey  body.  lighting  him  up  like  oil  poured  into  a  bonfire.  steady  movements  of  his  hips  began  to  be  erratic,  quick,  sloppy.  unfocused  on  everything  but  chasing  his  own  pleasure  this  one  time,  hoping  it  would  be  enough  to  wake  up  the  doctor  to  at  least  help  him  get  it  fully  off.

 and  he  did,  but  irritation  was  now  not  something  ace  reckoned  with.  he  was  panting  openly,  letting  the  filthy  sounds  like  a  waterfall  flow  out  of  his  parted  lips,  hanging  his  head  low,  ace  stopped.  feeling  so  bad  for  it.  he  should  not  have  thought  at  all  that  this  was  a  good  way  to  be  able  to  relieve  himself.  ❝  sorry  ...  'm  sorry  ah  -  fuck.  lawwy,  i'm  sorry  okay  i  just  ...  i  couldn't  stop  ...  ❞.  he  almost  looked  like  a  bad  puppy  getting  scolded  for  breaking  something  on  it's  wild  run  but  even  now  it  was  hard  for  ace  to  gather  any  thoughts  when  mind  was  clouded  with  unending  desire.
