Fiance, February 15th, 2012. Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel, San Francisco. The day after we checked out of this hotel President Obama (who I'm voting to keep in office) flew into the city and had a conference there. Super surreal.

maybe, just maybe i should reconsider how i feel about black&white with wood. maybe. i kinda like THIS.

it still feels slightly stale to me, but with a leeeeeeeeeetle color, it could look really nice, right?? i do want LOTS of different fabrics, textures, and patterns though.

i need to make a checklist

of everything that we need to do before moving. we have roughly 3 weeks but haven't prepared anything. so for my own use, everything that is to be done:

*browse Ikea and make a shopping list. *open a joint bank account. *rewrite our 'needs' and 'wants' list (since our puppy ate the first one) *take our cat to the vet so that he's up to date on his shots. *consider neutering (and look into spraying). *finalize decorating theme/color palette.***** *pay pet deposit. *get renter's insurance. *set up electricity and cable/internet. *begin packing!!! ASAP. *begin purchasing necessities (after we remake our needs/wants list...). *look around and price/research high quality wall paints with a matte finish *get a crate for stuart and larger beds for both puppy and kitty. *look into kitty-approved wall shelving that he can use for climbing, laying, etc.
