summary: Having just turned 30, you were set to marry your boyfriend who you met in college, Drake Walker. However, after an argument that centered on you, Drake, and your best friend, Tom Hiddleston just as your families are about to embark on a getaway, Drake cheats on you, with your cousin, Hannah. After being forced into the wedding, Tom devises a plan to essentially get back at Drake and Hannah for what they did to you. His idea? You and he start fake dating. However, at the wedding, Tom takes it a step further… saying you two are engaged. With both of your families ecstatic, you two suddenly have to create little white lies in order to make your story believable. But here’s the thing… you never thought you’d fall in love with your best friend.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
“Are you nervous?” You asked Tom as the two of you sat beside each other in the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The crowd of people around you was cheering. Your husband was dressed in a black and white suit while you donned an extravagant red dress.
“A little, yeah,” He smiled back at you. “This would be a dream if I won.”
A lot has happened since Avery was born on September 19th, 2022. Tom was landing movies and shows, his name at the top of every director’s dream to cast. That left you and your small family to travel between Atlanta and other filming locations so you could all be together.
You were parents of two now. You two discovered you were pregnant again shortly after Avery turned one. You two delivered another precious baby girl, who was given the darling name of Peyton Diana, Tom’s saved name for her. While Avery was a mixture between you and Tom, Peyton was your twin. She was spunky as ever, now nine months old.
Your charity was massive and Sunset Studios’ London location was bustling with business. You were able to take Avery and Peyton with you a lot to work. You held your art classes every week, your customers gushing at the sight of the two little girls.
Elena had moved to London officially, she and her fiancé, Sebastian Stan. After the two met at the wedding, they hit it off quickly and the rest was history. He quickly became her best friend. You two discovered that your roommate from college, Alice, was heavily into painting still. After conversations and a re-sparked friendship between the three of you, Alice ran the Hollywood store while you and Elena covered the London one.
Your hand was wrapped tightly in Tom’s as you heard the announcement for the next presenter.
“Up next, presenting the Oscar for Best Actor is a woman who has captivated the world by storm through her artistic capabilities. A true friend to all who encounter her, she and her husband have worked tremendously to give back to the community through their charity, Painting Smiles, a non-profit organization that helps families whose children across the world are undergoing cancer treatment. Please welcome to the stage, Y/N Hiddleston.”
The applause was heard everywhere, Tom rising to his feet. He clapped for you, a wink being sent your way. Ben, Sophie, Chris, and Elsa all were nestled in their seats beside yours and Tom's, each cheering you on. As you made it to the microphone, you smiled widely.
“It is an honor to stand before all of these lovely actors who have made us laugh, cry, and so angry that we wanted to throw our snacks across the room,” You smiled, causing everyone to laugh. “The dedication all of these men have taken to their roles, it truly goes unnoticed. Through your hard work and unbelievable skill, each and every one of you has taken the silver screen by storm. I know of my personal favorite…” You said with a quick wink. “I wish you all the luck.”
The video began to play, showing snippets of each actor and their film. You noticed the cheers grew excessive when Tom’s name appeared, making your heart soar.
Tom was up against Benedict, Andrew Garfield, Chris Pine, and Henry Cavill. You knew Tom and Ben both agreed that whoever won, they wouldn’t hold it against the other.
You had the envelope and approached the microphone. Opening it up, you flashed a smile. “And the Oscar goes to…” You looked down at the name.
“TOM HIDDLESTON!”
Cheers erupted all across the room, Tom’s eyes immediately clouding with tears. He, Ben, and Chris all shared a hug as he approached the stage, the award placed into your hand. He came up the steps, his smile widening once he made it to you. Hugging his neck, you kissed his cheek quickly.
“Congratulations, baby.” You grinned, handing him the Oscar.
As he delivered his speech, you couldn’t help but stare in complete awe. That was your best friend, your lover, your husband. You clapped your hands as he finished up, the two of you quickly walking off the stage together. Tom helped hold the edge of your dress, the paparazzi quickly catching pictures that you knew would be all over the tabloids about how much of a gentleman he truly was.
You two were nestled backstage, your arms wrapped tightly around him as he kissed you hard. You pressed your forehead against his, holding the ends of his hair.
“I’m so proud of you, babe.” You giggled.
“I couldn’t have done this without you, Gorgeous.” Tom breathed out shakily, kissing you again.
And it was only the beginning…

SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2027
SAINT LUCIA
“Avery, Peyton! Stay close to Daddy!” You exclaimed to your two girls from your spot on the beach. Your darling baby boy was nestled in your arms, fast asleep while you painted the sunset before you. You could hear the giggles erupting as Tom chased both girls around on the beach. Avery, with her long blonde hair that curled, those darling blue eyes gazing up at her father as if he painted her sun, moon, and stars.
Peyton was the darker-haired of the two, the older she became, the more she looked like you. You and Tom reflected heavily on baby pictures of you, both in agreement that Avery Teagan was the perfect mix… while Peyton Diana was your literal twin.
“Daddy! Throw us!” Peyton exclaimed, pushing her tiny arms up. Tom laughed and pulled both girls over his shoulders, their squeals filling the air.
You smiled down at the little boy… You had your perfect mix, your twin… so Tom needed his. He came in the form of a blonde and curly-haired, iridescent blue-eyed beauty. He was precious, his every facial expression screaming that he was Tom’s mini-me.
Diana gave you dozens of pictures of Tom when he was a tiny baby. The blonde curls reflected your son’s and those thin lips with the cute button nose? Baby boy had it all.
Of course, he had a name… You recalled it vividly. You told Tom as you leaned over the bathtub one day after your soaking wet Fearless dance in 2015… you would name your son Finn William. Tom insisted that would never happen and especially argued the point when you two discovered you were having a baby boy.
But that all changed the day Finn was born two years ago. They say babies get easier as you have them, but Finn’s birth wasn’t. It was the hardest delivery you ever had between the three. Even Tom was scared for those moments when he kept watching you slip in and out away from him.
That was the moment you two decided, no more babies, and Tom was getting a vasectomy immediately.
When Finn entered the world and Tom held him for the first time? You could still hear Tom’s voice.
“Oh NO!” He exclaimed through tears, his smile wide.
“What?” You had asked him.
“He looks like a Finn William…”
“I TOLD YOU!” You said excitedly.
Your head suddenly picked up when you saw the three coming towards you. Avery and Peyton sprawled out against the towel beside you, Petyon pressing a kiss to Finn’s head. Tom sat in front of you, his smile wide.
For 47, he still looked hot as hell.
“Mama?” Avery asked, her fingertips touching your back.
“Yes, baby?” You smiled down at her, adding another brushstroke.
“Why did we come to the Cawibban?”
Tom’s eyebrows furrowed at her cute pronunciation, making you giggle. You glanced over at Tom who traded with you, taking the sleeping baby boy from your arms. He shook against you, but once he felt the warmth of Tom’s chest, he quickly settled.
“This is the place where Mommy and Daddy realized… they were meant to be together. We were always in love… But the Caribbean is where it all happened.” You explained, running your fingers through Peyton’s dark hair. She smiled and joined her sister.
“What are these again?” Peyton asked in a sweet voice. You felt her hand rest over the first tattoo on your back.
“That’s Mommy’s birthday,” You smiled.
“This one?” Avery moved to the center.
Tom laughed. “That’s the day Mommy and Daddy got married.” He answered.
“Ooh! This one?” Peyton pointed to your right side.
“Daddy’s birthday.” You answered. “When was Daddy born, Peyton?”
“Febuwary 9th,”
“And Mommy’s birthday, Avery?” Tom asked his eldest.
“May 27th,” She answered confidently, making you smile widely.
“When were you born, Avery?” You asked her.
“September 19th!” She squealed.
“You, missy?!” Tom pinched Peyton’s belly who giggled loudly.
“June 16th, Daddy!” Peyton giggled.
“And when was Finn born?” You asked.
“Daddy’s birthday!” She announced.
The girls all smiled and Avery turned back to your tattoos. “What are these?” She asked, drawing a line from your left side to your right side.
“That is yours, Peyton’s, and Finn’s names. Your footprints are underneath. You guys had such tiny feet!” You gasped, pulling both of them around to sit in your lap. As your girls fell against you, Tom smiled widely, watching as Finn started to stir awake.
“Daddy?” He called, rubbing his eyes tiredly. Tom held the little boy close to him, kissing his forehead.
“Daddy’s here, buddy.” He promised him. Tom positioned him in his lap so he could sit up and see you. His smile widened when he caught the glimpse of you. He was definitely a Momma’s Boy, while Avery and Peyton were Daddy's Girls.
You felt your eyes begin to prick with tears as you gazed at your small family. You built this all with the man who you met 19 years ago. One more year and you two would hit 20.
“Mommy, are you sad?” Avery asked as he rested her hand to your cheek.
You shook your head, holding her small hand. Peyton wrapped her arms around you as Tom brought himself closer.
“Mommy’s very happy, baby girl,” You assured her with a wide smile.
This was your family.
Tom reached out and rested his hand in yours, running his thumb across your hand.
“I love you, baby girl.” He winked with a massive grin.
“I love you too, babe.” You whispered.
“Avery, I love you,” Peyton suddenly belted, wrapping her arms around her big sister. Avery giggled, hugging her back.
“I love you too, Peyton.” The two girls then pulled back, pinkies held out.
“Pinky promise?” Peyton asked.
“Cross my heart.” Avery giggled as the two girls crossed their hearts with one hand and pinky promised with the other.
That’s when Tom started crying.
He leaned forward and kissed your lips tenderly, his hand wrapping around your cheek.
As you stared at Tom, your smile growing wider, you were at home. He was your home.
“You’re my forever, Tom.” You whispered.
“You were mine the moment we met, baby.” Tom breathed out, kissing you once more.
