â Youâre telling me, you have a good enough memory to remember that in DECEMBER? â
He cast her a side-eye as they walked, not buying it for a second. Besides ...
â If itâs so damn important to remember, why not, you know, take care of it NOW instead of waiting? â
She wanted it to be somewhat of a surprise, didn't want anyone to get too high hopes of her gift. She wasnât gonna have a lot of money after all, especially if she gives in and plays at the arcade.Â
â Buâ i âanât- âm pâor â She mutters, arms folding as she thinks it over. Maybe she get a pack of candy and leave one on Stanâs desk everyday of Hanukkah. That seemed easy enough. Shouldnât be that expensive. â mmmmm....i âonâ know...âÂ

Brooklyn didnât really get the blood-drinking at first. That had seemed to be a uniquely vampire thing, not a demon one, so when sheâd torn off a guyâs arm and felt an urge to drink the blood pouring like a fountain from the hole, suffice to say sheâd been surprised. And, at first, it tasted like shit. All metallic and sour, Brooklyn had practically spat it out. But over the next few times sheâd done it, for effect rather than need, it had started to change. It became a sweet kind of taste, a trick she supposed had been drummed up by the evil in her.Â
So, it wasnât a small amount of blood sheâd been gulping down like water when she was caught, sucking it off her fingers as she turned around before crossing her arms.
âNah. I mean, why bother? I didnât think I had anyone to share with.â She studies him for a second, eyes narrowing briefly. âIâm assuming youâre notâŚ. Normal. Since youâre not screaming and running or whatever. Itâs kinda freaky, no offense. Iâm Brooklyn, by the way. You want?âÂ
Without much ceremony, she holds out the decapitated head, tilting the gushing hole upward to keep the blood from spilling more.Â
Normal, how funny. He hasnât been normal in decades. Canât be normal without him mind and he just so happened to lose that in the distortion years ago. But really, why would he want to be? He was much better now. Much more interesting, much more creative and driven.Â
He nods, reaching out to take the head from her. A little drink never hurt anyone! â Havenâ had someone elses blood in a good minute. Wouldnâ hurt â He doesnât bother trying to be clean about it. It was a lot of blood after all, no way he could get a good drink in without spilling some. He lets out a satisfied sigh after, licking at the blood on his lips, â Rather scrummy ainâ it? â

He shrugs, that was good enough for him. â Fine fine.....never been to a noddle shop before â
