The clip made me giggle so I had to draw it c:
posting with no tags and basically no followers is so funny to me tbh. i am literally screaming into the void.
Sorry again. I'm back. I'm sorry. I'm in a fixation. I have gone down a Wuthering Heights black hole and there is no way out. Maybe it's because I first read it so many years ago and it made such an impression on me (just recently reread it) and to this day (weirdly) I've never see any movies of it- I'm in the process of watching the 2011- I'm like halfway through.) And I have been on the other side of this argument many times like with Game of Thrones and Interview with the Vampire. And I'll be the first to say that I often love it when adaptations change things. And it's not about the wackiness of Fennell's vision. Bring on more wackiness honestly. The book itself is wacky as hell.
I just... hear me out. What if Emerald had gone with her concept- the music, the look of it, the non- historical accuracy (which honestly I'm actually very into.) But she had focused on the second half of the book. Shazad Latif as Heathcliff, Jacob Elordi as Hareton, Margo Robbie as Cathy Jr. and Alison Oliver as the ghost of Cathy Sr. You could have flashbacks where Ewan Mitchell plays Hindley and they cast a young Cathy and Heathcliff for those flashbacks.
And YES, I know Margo Robbie is only like five years younger than Shazad Latif but like, who cares? More often in film and TV it's the women who are five years older than their sons- Olivia Cooke is only like two years older than Tom Glynn-Carney who plays her son in House of the Dragon to name one but there are many more... And like, from what I understand of Emerald, she would have ate at directing/writing Heathcliff digging up Cathy's grave scene. AND it would have been groundbreaking because no one adapts the second half. No one (except for you Wuthering Heights 2011. I see you.) has a canon accurate POC Heathcliff. And she could STILL have the swoon-worthy romance that Cathy and Hareton deserve with Margo and Jacob- which- it seems like she kind of already did anyway, since from what I gather, her Heathcliff is already written more Hareton like?

When you finally have a solid outline for your jack abbot x vampire! reader fic idea that’s been pissing you off for so long (thank you @m-robinavitch muah! 💋) but now you’ve invested too much into the story and you just want to talk about Jack having freaky sex with his vamp! gf who gets high off of his own blood.
