Nonetheless, moving off this topic would be better for Yuzuru’s anxiety on the matter, so he thinks that while it’s at his own expense, he should likely focus on having the butler care for him instead. “If you like, you can look after me? I don’t mind if you move into my house, although the Gods of this place may have something to say on the matter…”

A pause. “But it is a temporary move, until I can stand on my own two feet, so I wonder if it would be that much of a problem for you to come around often?”

“The gods, hm? I fail to find any reason they would deny my being closer to aid you.” There’s a point in which their ‘pranks’ go from ‘good fun’ to ‘ok, you can stop being assholes now’, and letting someone who needs aid go without seems far too cruel... Right?

“Worst case scenario, I do not mind waking up early to prepare you for your day; I believe we are on separate islands after all so I will need to take morning commute into consideration when looking after you.” Ferries are only so reliable, and the ocean is a lot worst to traverse than a road would be...

“Be at ease. I’m sure he is fine, wherever he is. Tori is resourceful, as the heir to the Himemiya clan, and all.”

Granted, he knows fine well Yuzuru has his doubts on that matter, but he’s also certain the butler knows the young master more than anyone else. When he bows, Eichi stifles a laugh, thankful for the familiarity having been restored, and that even this sort of person can be thrown off by the surroundings. His former unit member always expresses composure of the highest level, as expected of him in his real job, so it’s funny to see him like this.

“Yes, that’s fine. I can understand.” The blond muses. “I’d like to keep you close as someone I can trust, since this is going to be a new experience for myself.”

“Even still... will he be eating his greens? Taking his vitamins? You know he likes to sneak around those.”

But, if Eichi is sure, he supposes there is nothing he can do but sigh. Not like he had much power to do anything to begin with...

In the very least, he feels better knowing Eichi is willing to keep him, lowering his head slightly in confirmation-- He is happy he can serve, look after Eichi. He’s sure Tori would scold him if he didn’t at least offer to look after their senior.

“Very well. I shall tend to you as you please.” A small pause, “However... I believe our living spaces are separated? Do you wish for me to move closer to you? I do not mind.”

“I haven’t seen Tori myself.” Eichi withholds the need to mention that it’s probably best the young master isn’t here to Yuzuru, since that will probably upset him more than comfort him. At least, back at home, he has multiple servants to assist him, whereas here, even the Tenshouinheir has been left to his own devices, and on that note…

“One question at a time, Yuzuru.” He laughs, shrugging his shoulders to edge the weight off them. “I’ve been cruelly left on a sea-based island, and since this is the first I’ve been without any sort of butler or maid, I’m completely vexxed on where to start.” Help sounds great, right now, although he goes quiet with thought.

“You know, Yuzuru, didn’t you decide to call me ‘Eichi-sama’ before? Here, you aren’t under any obligation of my family name, so there’s no need to use it.”

“I see... Hm...” The idea of Tori not being here was, in a way, comforting, but the concept of him being alone... that didn’t sit well with Yuzuru.

“My apologies. I should be more considerate of the fact this must all be so overwhelming to you.” A soft smile, his usual disposition slipping back, “Being alone like this, however... Please know, I am at your beck and call.” A small bow is offered.

“Ah, my... My apologies, Eichi-sama. Perhaps the stress of this new environment is... affecting me.”

“… Yuzuru?”

It isn’t that he’s unhappy to see the people he trusts showing up (Chiaki is up for debate), but given the nature of everything, he probably shouldn’t take it as a good thing either. Nonetheless, his former unit member seems to be taking well to it all, or he’s really just resorting to his butler-state now that Eichi is here as a form of finding something normal.

“Ah, well… it’s inconvenient, you know?” He clears his throat, lips slipping into a smile. “You look well.”

He smiles at Eichi, nodding when he needs to double check that, yes, this is in fact Tori’s servant and not a hallucination.

That moment before his returned to his usual composure definitely made Yuzuru a little unsettled, but once they could go back to playing their usual roles without worry Yuzuru felt that minor discomfort settling away-- Acting like nothing was wrong is the best way to ignore bad feelings, right?

“So it seems. I was worried when bocchama was not besides me-- I can’t help but feel worried. I never left a meal plan for him after all...” A small sigh leaves his lips, “I am fine, thank you for asking. How are the islands treating you? Have you settled into your new home yet? Are you in need of assistance at all? I’d be more than happy to aid you, Tenshouin-sama.”

He’d received several bouts of information suggesting a certain someone was on the island with him. It wasn’t Tori, but someone familiar who he knew how to serve and please was definitely welcomed in this new environment.

Now, just to track him down and make sure his presence was still welcomed.

“Tenshouin-sama. I am glad to see you are safe.” Yuzuru smiled, bowing to the other, “I hope the sudden relocation hasn’t been too stressful for you? Is your health ok?”

The butler was used to exotic islands, usually attending trip with his master to such places after all, but being unable to spot Tori anywhere let alone not remembering how or when he got here made him feel panicked.

A few calls out for “bocchama”, all with the same fruitless result, and Yuzuru felt more and more worried. Was Tori taken? Did he get lost? Was he hurt, or alone, or crying? This was bad...

“Please pardon my suddenly approaching you...” He starts, bowing deeply, “I appear to have lost someone. Has a young boy with short, pink hair been seen around here? It’s important I find him...”

Oh yeah... “Also, where might we be?”
