This is just out of sheer curiosity on my part, but after learning about all of this and finally knowing the truth about who you are and what not, has it changed your perspective on dying at all? Has it worsened the fear or lessened it, or were you ever even scared to die in the first place? Lol. (I feel most people aren’t thrilled about the idea of dying but ya know)
I know for myself personally, once I left Christianity, I instantly no longer feared death and then finding out about all of this has only further dissolved any remaining fear I had left.
I guess I find comfort in knowing it’s just the body dying— that heaven and hell are just a state of mind rather than actual places. Idk, I just don’t feel like there’s really anything to be scared of anymore. Curious to hear your thoughts!
Hi Ghoul! This is a super interesting question, thank you so much for writing in! 🤍
It hasn't changed my perspective of dying more than it has my views on what may happen when I die - even when I was religious or a witch or an astrology girl, I was never afraid of the act of dying, but when I came to the conclusion that I am all there is it made me start asking deeper questions about what will happen after I die.
And of course I can only speak for myself, but I personally believe that this life is an experience I chose for myself long before I was born - perhaps being a limitless cosmic entity was boring, and I wanted to see the polarity of love and loss and life.
Maybe I chose this form in which to experience the seasons, to see myself reflected as other people and differing opinions - to learn and grow, and to understand not just others, but the multitudes and facets within myself I couldn't explore as a singular being.
More than anything, I think I wanted to test my power in within the bounds of a 'limited' world - kinda like dropping myself into Skyrim with mods enabled! To see what can be changed or challenged, if I can change.
I don't believe I'll go to any sort of 'place' when my body expires more than I believe that I'll be the full sum of myself once again, and what that looks like (and how it will be experienced) is something we are all able to choose for ourselves.
I don't fear death, and I'm excited to find out how I might reflect on this life once I've lived it (and perhaps even choose to live again)!
So no, I've never been afraid to die and I'll welcome it when my time on this planet is done, but it's far from the end and you should always remember that you'll always get whatever it is you believe you deserve.
What hell is there to fear if I know existence itself is an extension of me, down to the very stardust that forged this mortal form? ✨
