Eyes locked with the Ylissean royal in disbelief. Chances were, if both she and Lucina were residents of the city, the entire collective had become captives …
“So many familiar faces! Never would’ve thought I’d see you here, princess.”
"Gaius!"
Now he was a sight for sorry eyes. It felt like she hadn't seen him for months -- oh, wait, she hadn't. Along with many other people. "Heh... I was one of the first to come," she explained.
☘; No Place Like Home || OPEN
The initial shock and amazement of the entire city is still fresh and new to the young man; even a day after his arrival, Donnel really can’t believe how most of the things work around here. Not only were the aesthetics of the city incredible, but also the various contraptions laying around! Yes, even after arriving in his apartment, he couldn’t find it in himself to sleep very well; partly due to excitement and partly due to the dread of being whisked away from Ylisse and into this strange, foreign environment.
Deciding to try and learn as much as he can about this place (since Donnel is always eager to learn), the male swiftly leaves his assigned housing quite early in the morning and gets to work with familiarizing himself with the Sector his apartment is in. He figures that once he gets a feel of this Sector, he can move onto the next one and so on. Throughout his journey in Sector One, he finds himself fascinated still with the concept of a ‘car’, even after the basics of it had been explained by Stahl… Not only that, but the buildings in this place moved every hour or so! It must be some sort of magic at work he thinks.
A few hours later, Donnel is still walking throughout the area with his wooden lance swung over his shoulder (as always) when he suddenly notices someone in the distance… Well, actually, they don’t seem to be very far away! What catches his eye is something that they’re doing… And they’re doing it exceedingly well, if he can be so bold! After watching them for a few moments, Donnel finally decides to approach them and see if he could learn how to do such a thing, as well. Even if he’s away from his fellow shepherds, Donnel thinks that he still has plenty to learn and if the other person is friendly enough and willing to teach him, then he’ll certainly take them u on that opportunity!
"That’s amazin’!" is the first thing he says to them, admiration plain on his expression.
Today seemed like a good day to spend outside and Lissa decided to sit outside one of the cafes and work on her paper making skills. It was a hobby that she picked up since she came here and would end up walking around, giving the papers to children to help keep them amused.
This time she was working on making a few paper cranes. It was a little tricky at first, but over time Lissa was able to get better and better. In fact, the princess felt proud about what she had been able to crate. The table was covered in papers and a few cranes here and there.
A couple for them were a little messed up from when she had started to make them earlier. But the rest where done rather neatly. It would have probably been a good idea to bring a bigger basket, because all Lissa had was a small one, because she didn't notice how into making paper cranes she got.
Leaning back and sighing, Lissa gave a small pout. "There's too many..." and she didn't know what to do with what would end up being left over.
It looked like she had managed to catch someones attention though and she looked up to see the owner of the voice. Blinking twice, it took her a moment to notice that it was Donnel. She hadn't talked to him that often back home, but he seemed like a nice kid.
"You really think so?" Lissa turned her attention back to the paper cranes and picked one of them up.
overexertion! [ca open]
How long had it been since Chrom had been out for some good old fashioned training? Ever since he had been here, he couldn’t help but notice a considerable lack of exercise in his daily routine. Which was off putting for him, seeing as he had drills to run every morning back in Ylisse. But now? He felt he was getting sluggish.. old age could not possibly sneak up behind him like this! No.. he needed some exercise. Sword swings, runs, stretches, the entire package! No more resting like this, now would be the time to train!
Taking his Falchion outside to a nearby park with little to no bystanders, at least with none too close to him, Chrom would start to his daily exercises, which involved a few swings and twirls of the blade. His precision was still right on key, and he hadn’t slowed down as much as he thought.
" Not bad considering how long it’s been.. but I should probably exercise more properly..! "
With his swings getting more intense in motion, you could practically hear the wind being sliced in two by the cold steel. It was no wonder how this man had managed to lead an entire army henceforth. It was good getting the adrenaline rush going, but fate would have other plans for his training. Due to either sheer bad luck or misfortune, someone decided to be a lazy litter bug and place a banana peel that happened to be in Chrom’s movement path.
Losing footing, Chrom began to tumble, and with the weight of the Falchion practically launching him forward, the poor crown prince found his head stuck in the hollow trunk of a nearby tree.
Ylisse’s Might, ladies and gentlemen.
There was a quiet giggle...
And soon enough it was followed by a laugh.
Best sister award goes to Lissa because she's just got her arms wrapped her stomach as she kept laughing at the sight of her brother. She had been watching him since she had not seen him for a good while and thought to offer her help.
But he ended up getting himself stuck in a tree and she was struggling to stay calm. And people said she was unroyal like. Compared to Chrom right now, Lissa was a true princess.
Taking in a deep breath and trying to calm herself down, Lissa wiped a tear from her eyes and skipped over to the tree.
"Are you about to get out, Chrom?" She asked in a sweet tone, hoping that he would not notice that she had just been laughing at him seconds before. It would be awkward if he did, but maybe she can pass the blame to some bystander who left.

It wouldn’t bother Maribelle one bit if she had, simply hearing Lissa’s voice managed to calm her thoughts. For the first time the noble enjoyed being stuck within this dismal city, for now she was within the company with someone she’d known for many years.
One could only relinquish in that factor.
“Forced? Oh no, dear." With a sigh, her ringlets shook; making sense of these new equipments would not be easy, although she had Lissa to help, ever she need it. "You do have more experience with them, it seems odd. I cannot make sense of it." Thankfully it was a step up from the hand washing they knew so well.
“I am only thankful to see you well, Lissa. If we may, I believe it is time for us both to leave these colder weathers behind." A pot of tea would do nicely, her thoughts lingered upon the warmth splashing her lips. She wouldn’t be able to live with herself if Lissa managed to catch a horrid, and deathly cold, either.
“We do have much to catch up on, after all.”
Learning how to use the new technology wasn't fun, or at least Lissa didn't find it to be fun and tiring after a while. Sometimes she was able to catch up quickly and others she had to repeat the action over and over again. She sighed at the thought.
"I don't mind helping you learn. It'll be good to spend time together," she spoke with a smile. Lissa might not like having to remember now to overfill the washing machine, but she didn't mind it if she could to help Maribelle!
That was what best friends were for after all.
"Yes, of course. I would much rather be somewhere warmer than out here." Because the last thing she wants is to get sick, along with Maribelle and if that was to happen then Lissa only had herself to blame.
Now where to go... "We can return to my apartment, unless you have one. You might prefer to be there instead."

With his arms now at his sides, the hierophant remained still, his glare hidden by the edge of his hood. He could see the fear in Lissa’s actions, the hesitancy of her movements. If he were to reveal his face, all of the healer’s worries might have been realized. It was much too early for that, however.
The facade could continue for longer.
Lissa received no response from the hooded figure. Her questions were met with a satisfied silence. He needed no small talk. The hierophant’s aim was to reach District Beta. Nothing more, nothing less.
Eventually, the healer gave the answer he was looking for.
"…Already here."
"Fine. I will follow behind, if you will lead the way."
If things kept up, maybe she wouldn’t learn who he was after all.
"I-I see!" She said in a somewhat loud voice, it was her attempt to sound happy and not nervous in the slightest. There was something about him that felt familiar, that coat of his. It looked a lot like Robin's, but the Robin she knew was a woman.
Maybe she was just thinking too much about it. There had to be others who would wear the same clothing as her! And marks... and... other things. Shaking her head, Lissa nodded her head and started to walk towards where the distracts would be.
Or at least the entrance.
It was quiet now though and she felt a little odd about that. There had to be something that she would do to liven up the mood. Maybe that why she could figure out why she felt so tensed.
"So... what's your name? I'm Lissa," she said and span around, hands behind her back as she started to walk backwards. The Princess would often check over her shoulder for anyone she might walk into.

Strange how he could not recognize the girl at a distance. It may have been instinct that brought the hooded man to call to the healer. Perhaps it was a subconscious offering, a need for familiarity. Whatever the reason, the outcome was the same.
There before Grima stood a Shepherd. Lissa, sister of Chrom. For a brief moment, the hierophant’s free hand twitched. He stared down at the girl as she spoke, noting the tremors of her voice. She could sense it. An aura of malice.
So close to the destroyer of worlds, and she did nothing. Typical, useless healer. Always getting in the way.
Always dying.
"…"
"…Do so, then."
How long would it be until the healer realized who she was helping…?
Nodding her head quietly, Lissa turned her head around and looked for any maps which might be in the area. Maybe it would be good to slip away now, but that would be rather rude to do so! Even if he didn't feel... right.
A little cold even, which was why Lissa was starting to regret helping him. The naive little part of her always said otherwise though. Everything would be okay as long as she stayed calm and collected, keeping her thoughts to herself.
"U-Um... I take it that you're new here, right? Unless maybe you moved," she asked, thinking that it wouldn't hurt to ask a few questions while she was searching for a map.
She side stepped away from him and went towards one of the poles. It looked like there was a map of the city there!
Now to find beta. Her finger trailed along the paper as she searched for the name, looking through each sectors. "..It's here! In sector two. I can take there if you wish, but I believe we'll need to work." Because Lissa didn't trust the trains right now.
"…know that I loved you."

A hooded figure had been brought to Hive City. A strange, hooded figure walked through the streets seeking answers. Was this how civilization operated after one thousand years? So much had changed since the era of Ylisse’s downfall. As the hooded figure went along the city pathways, he glanced at the buildings that towered over him.
Given time, it would be he who would tower over them.
Ah, but even the most destructive forces had basic necessities. A place to stay, for one. The man behind the glass had mentioned something about a District Beta. Wherever this district was, it must have been where he was to stay. Someone else would have to show him where to go. As the hooded figure walked on, no one seemed to regard him strangely. No one seemed to know who he really was.
The hierophant of Plegia. That is who he is.
The hooded figure raised his hand to a passerby, halting their course and taking their time.
"…Hold. I require direction to District Beta."
Hm. Close enough.
There was something about this man that gave her the creeps. A shiver ran down her spine as she neared him. Lissa was from the female Robin timeline after all, so it was o be expected she didn't realize who this was straight away.
But just the aura and feeling he gave off reminded Lissa of the time that they came across Robin when she was possessed. Or was it the other Robin? It was really confusing to think about at times.
Her fingers wrapped around her staff, something she carried around with her often because people did appear to get injured quite often here.
And it was Lissa's job to come to their aid!
Which was why she didn't just leave straight away when she heard the man speak.
“It's... one of the districts underground. I'm not exactly sure which Sector it is in, but I could try to find out for you,” she spoke in a somewhat calm voice and did her best to stand up straight.

A sense of belonging now fell to Maribelle, now wrapping her arms about her friends back. Tightly she squeezed, knowing now she never had to worry about Lissa again. Wherever Hive City was, the scientists had brought them together once more—
”I have missed you too, dear.”
Quietly patting Lissa’s arm, she allowed herself to become support for the other. Feeling hot tears burn at her lids, quickly eliminating them with a move of her single finger.
”It seems these scientists thought it wise to bring us together once more. Most fortunate if you ask me, as I could not be happier." Who were these scientists and why did they believe it was wise to do this?
Maribelle held many questions attaining to her thoughts.
”I do wonder how it is we ended up in this mess. They have something named a washing machine, I believe!? Are you informed of these devices, Lissa?”
Nodding her head, Lissa remained quiet just in case she started to blabber on about nonsense and end up repeating herself. It wouldn't be very proper if she was to do that after all.
But, Maribelle was correct and this felt like it was one of the few rare events that Lissa felt grateful towards the scientist.
She wasn't alone and had those she loved around her. That made living here a lot easier. Pulling back and wiping her eyes to get rid of the tears, the blonde managed a small smile as she looked at her best friend.
And she let out a small laugh.
“Yeah, I've been forced to learn how to use them. They're all still very strange to me... and I think I overloaded the washing machine once. But they're very useful at least!” It made cleaning by hand a lot easier, and quicker.
Unfortunately she did not have an answer for the former, but oh how Lissa wished that she did. At least her life here was an easy one so she didn't have much reason to complain about it.
"Ah...! I do hope that I can get this new home. It will be nice to live somewhere proper and not a small apartment."

❝I’m sorry I asked that, I was unsure of what to request at first.❞ Someone like her was not the most ingenious, fun individual to play the King’s game with. ❝There is not much to do, it can be only the armor plate to make it easy. I can teach you if you want..❞
"No, no! It's fine and I don't mind," because surely it'll be fun, right? It couldn't be too hard to do and if Lissa didn't want to do it then she can easily run walk away. "I would love it if you could teach me though! It'll be handy to have for future reference."
"I'm here to polish your armor? Although... I don't know how well I will be at it," because she's never had to actually clean any before and Lon'qu doesn't wear any, neither does her brother.
