Hearing the elevator doors ‘ding’ open the sounded ringed through his ears and he looked over to see Kelly finally walk in; dogs first and her following after. Just like every day, just what he’d gotten used to. But the one thing that was difference was his own nerves. Usually he was so relaxed and calm; very little made Tony cook up a storm inside his head but this was something he never thought he’d be preparing himself to do.
“No, you’re good. I was busy with some stuff anyway.”
Placing candles and petals in the right place, setting up food, though he’d far from cooked it because that would end badly. No instead he’d ordered which initially didn’t seem very romantic but he liked it to be different. He wanted this to be them not some flashy public display that’d be out in the papers tomorrow morning.
“I got food.”
kelly is still tentatively worried about tony. he seems far more on edge than usual. she's curious; but she won't question it. giving a small glance in the direction of her beloved dogs, she smiles as she spots them wagging their tails and settling down to rest. before her attention is once more on tony. a smile warms up her face.
she'd been planning to cook dinner tonight. but the gesture of him buying it was appreciated. he'd gotten her sushi. from the looks of it, all her favorites. she'd been in the mood for it today. stepping over to him, she presses a kiss to the corner of his mouth. thankful for so many things in life. but most importantly. him.
❛ thank you. let's eat. i'm starving. ❜
pause as she moves for the table; taking a sip of the ice water. wondering about the petals.
❛ you said you were busy; wasn't too hectic today, was it? ❜
