No matter what Tony said, the feeling of inner disappointment wasn’t going away any time soon. Tony had been Bruce’s best friend, and he let the other down.

                            —— “The job was to protect the people. Rough                            patch or not, I wasn’t there and I had promised                                                you that I would be.”

Bruce couldn’t help but give a cackle at Tony’s sentiment. 

                                              “Safe. I wouldn’t call it safe.”

              after the destruction of an innocent airport, stephen could be found floating mid-air above it all. he didn’t even want to think about how much tax-payers would have to fork up to pay for this, no matter tony paying for it --- he had repairs of his own to do, in avengers hall. after pursing his lips his magics would surge, concrete raising and every bit of debris would seemingly turn back in time --- going back to the way things were before, fixing themselves. however the sound of repulsors were soon heard, and with a sigh his demonstrations would pause --- the objects floating mid-air; waiting for his instructions, once tony was done.

“   tony.. aren’t you supposed to be in america, by now?   ”

"tony." of course he wanted nothing more than for the team to know he and stark were working things out, that they were actually a couple and weren't just friends. but steve knew that once word got out that everything would go to hell, that people would question both of them about their convictions. and he couldn't put any of them through it. "i'm not ashamed of being with you. that's the furthest thing from the truth. after everything that happened — people will wonder, they'll talk and maybe i'd just like to have something that's ours and not the rest of the world."

I have literally been sitting here for an hour and telling you about how it was ruining my life.” She ran her fingers through her hair. Not only had he been oblivious to their conversation, his mind was on going public with their relationship? Where had that even come from? “I think we need a little more than a drunk night and two dates to make it official that we’re back together.” She grumbled. “I mean, I’m not even sure I want us to be back together.”
