There is Zero Hope.
Transition if you want. It’s going to feel great. You’re going to know yourself. You’ll experience emotional and mental growth like you’ve never experienced. You will finally see yourself.
Too bad no one else ever will again.
You’ll be stuck in a forever limbo. Nobody will give a fuck about you, and that will be the norm. You were lonely before? Now you’re twice as lonely. Now your identity challenges other people’s in ways which threatens deeply personal aspects of themselves. Even if all you wanted was relief from dysphoria. Now YOU’RE the one giving THEM dysphoria.
So they reconstruct you in their head. They will never leave you or be direct with you. They just download you like an AI downloads every picture you’ve ever taken, every caption you’ve ever written, every note you’ve ever made, and they recreate you as someone they can actually love. A version of you that doesn’t challenge or cause them to question themselves. People are not cruel, they are just radically indifferent to people they can’t understand. When faced with doubt, they will respond as if threatened. And, in a desperate attempt to stave it off, they will sometimes sacrifice you.
You will most likely never live to see vindication.
You will be forever behind glass. A doll but not one of “the dolls”, just a piece of untouchable, unlovable property that got donated to the gender backrooms because it was too much uncomfortable work to consider your perspective.
You’ll have friends only bc of your own human need for companionship. Love will feel the way a La Croix tastes. Watered down so as to be almost undetectable in the static. You will feel that stabbing feeling again and again. It will never go away. You will get your hopes up, and then you will be let down. You will search for your place in the world the way an extinct animal searches for a mate it will never find. There is no place in the world for you.
In fact, that’s the entire point.
