Cops & Robbers || Miichi & Green
Green couldn’t hope anything less than that at least one of the boys would take a step forward. Even if he wasn’t used to kids, he had once been a young little boy himself. Something in the eyes of the more brave boy reminded him of himself, even if he hoped that no one would have to turn out the way he had.
When the strangers seemed to accept his presence, perhaps because his pokémon caught the attention, he tried to figure out as much as he could by just watching them. One girl, two boys. The girl was obviously older, even if perhaps a little younger than himself. She seemed a little familiar, which was strange since he wasn’t from these parts at all. If they had met while traveling, Green would be sure to better retreat quickly. He wasn’t here to handle any hard feelings. His eyes was set on the girl a few seconds more, but he couldn’t place the face at all. Probably they hadn’t introduced themselves, even if they had met or seen each other. And she was most likely the older sister of the two boys. The kids showed their personalities quiet well. One seemed to approach the older, while the other approached Luca. Even if he kept his concentration on the boy that came towards them, he was somewhat keeping his eye up on the girl as well. Like he was seeking approval of actually being here. And so he got to know the name of the purple feline, and even if he had a hard time seeing that personality as shy, the pokémon did seem to relax a little more when hearing her trainer say so. Luca had stopped on the way because of Etain’s defensive posture, but still looked happy with all four legs on the ground and spiky tail enthusiastically wagging. His Jolteon’s brown eyes looked up when the boy was about to pet him, politely standing still where he was. But the girl made her sister role obvious by not scolding, but telling the boy to ask first. It made Green smile a little. How many times had her own older sister not treated him the same way? Not that he had listened and nicely done the way she said, like this boy did. Somehow he missed Daisy, but they had slipped away from each other just like he had slipped away from everyone else. Sometimes he had to remind himself of that when he felt that he missed someone from his old life. Already as a gym leader he had lost contact with most of the people he used to hang out with, and the relationship with his sister had probably gone lost together with his relationship with the professor.
"You’re a good guy for listening to your sis’." He said with a big grin, casually kneeling down to the same height as the boy. Green had picked up that this boy’s name was Allen. He wondered what the other’s was. "And good guys can pet Luca anytime. He’s a little rough in the fur, but he’s one of the nicest pokémon in the whooole world." The trainer assured and put one hand on Luca’s back. As the sign was made, Luca lightly pushed his nose into Allen’s tiny palms, made a purring sound and rubbed himself against the boy’s side. He looked really pleased with himself, and smelled his new friend before making an enthusiastic bark. But the elecric-type knew barking wasn’t a hundred percent allowed, so he turned around and made circles around Allen with his head bowed own like an apology. His ears quickly turned when he heard how the Espeon made a move, stood still and held both his eyes and ears focused on Etain. One second he turned his head to Green, like seeking approval for once, but turned it back just as quick. He let the beautiful other branch from his evolution line take in his scent, and he stood still to catch up that this was the same pokémon he had caught scent of earlier.
Listening to the female’s voice, Luca felt not only excitement in his chest, but also a little nervousness. <I’m here with my trainer! We took a walk, but he decided to let me take the lead. I thought that I caught the scent of another pokémon, so I was excited and rushed here!> He said. <I’m happy to have discovered to many friendly presences here!> Green was happy for this starter to get the chance and interact with another of his evolutionary line. What a lucky day Luca had, which made it a lucky day for Green too. Of course, what he didn’t know, is that this day could’ve turned out very bad if the boys hadn’t been around and he had played his cards wrong. No matter from where he recognized the girl, he would never speak a word of Team Rocket. They were criminals, after all. He had no plans on revealing such a business for someone he didn’t know. But then the brunette turned his attention to the other of his own species. He had one hand in his pant’s pocket, but made a salute with the other. “Apologizes for just rushing in like that. Name’s Green.” He introduced himself. “I already heard your name’s Allen.” He said to the younger boy with a smile, but turned to the other two. “How about you two?”
Allen stared in awe at the young man before him who had kneeled down to his level, watching with shinning eyes as the brunette praised his good actions. He puffed out his little chest proudly like he had done a good deed, crossing his arms in front of it in a way that portrayed his slowly growing ego. Of course he was a good boy; it was only natural for him to be one, seeing as how his sister was a super hero and everything.
“Of course! I’m the best when it comes to being good. Even Sis says so.”
It was easy to see the adoration in the boy’s eyes regarding his sister. When he grew up, he was determined to be someone amazing like her; who went out and saved the world on a daily basis. He’d have the greatest Pokemon team ever, challenge every gym leader in every region, and even become the Champion of Champion’s! And then, when he was all grown up, he’d be the one taking care of his sister – just like she had taken care of him for all this time.
“Etain is the nicest Pokemon in the whole world too.” Allen bragged as he turned his attention to Luca, who had pressed his nose eagerly against the child’s palm. “I pulled her tail once by accident, and she didn’t even get mad at me.”
Allen beamed brightly down at the enthusiastic Jolteon; only becoming more ecstatic at Luca’s happy bark. Riku flinched slightly at the loud noise the yellow Pokemon had let out, stepping behind his sister so as to hide himself behind her; but not being able to see what was happening to his twin only caused the child to become even more nervous, so timidly he peeked around Miichi's side to observe. It soon became obvious to the boy that the Jolteon was only being playful; even if Riku was unsure of himself, he wanted to go over and join Allen too.
“Sis …” Tugging on his sister’s hand, his voice barely above a whisper, he looked up at her with curious eyes. “Can we go pet Luca too …?”
‘R-Riku … you’re so cute~! I just want to wrap you in my arms forever~’
They were so cute, her two little brother’s. Just the sight of their large, burgundy eyes was enough to make her give into any demand they set for her. Of course, Miichi knew when she had to put her foot down – like the time Allen insisted he could jump off the side of a low bridge into the calm river below. Apparently people did it all the time, they had even watched a couple of kids do it before crossing; but Miichi, being the over protective sister she was, quickly put a stop to that plan. What would happen if he hurt himself? It was far too dangerous to go and jump off a bridge, no matter how low it was.
“Of course! Shall we go greet them together then?”
With a small smile and a nod, Miichi lead the more timid child over to the new Pokemon and his trainer. The girl was aware the other trainer kept his eyes on her, however discreetly he tried to be about it. It made her feel rather anxious to be honest – but not in the way normal girls would while being stared at by a relative handsome young man. Did he recognize her from headquarters or not? It was obvious he recognized her from somewhere, but with Miichi’s perception she could tell he didn’t know where he had seen her before. Well, as long as he was dumb enough not to put the pieces together, then she’d have no reason to go on the offensive.
〈 “Oh, so you’re here with your human. It is the same for me. Today we are playing.” 〉
Etain tilted her head to the side cutely as she considered the lightening Pokemon - slowly relaxing in his presence. It wasn’t so bad, thought the feline as she allowed herself to sit down in front of him, her forked tail gently wrapping around her. He seemed kind enough, and Allen was absolutely delighted that Luca had been so eager to be petted. If her human’s had taken a liking to him, the boy’s in particular, then Etain found no reason to be frightened of him; though, she was still a bit insecure.
It didn’t take long for Miichi and Riku to make their way over to the group. Smiling encouragingly at Riku, she held the child’s hand with one hand and reached out with her other to stroke the back of Luca’s neck. Allen, who had opted to hover close to Luca’s trainer, watched his twin curiously. Why was Riku so scared to pet Luca? Luca was a nice Pokemon, just like Etain. In Allen’s mind, it was silly for Riku to be scared of the tough looking Pokemon.
〈 “This one is rather timid. He tends to get startled easily, so please be gentle.” 〉
Etain informed the other Pokemon, rubbing the side of her face against the boy’s arm affectionately. Riku gulped as he watched his sister pet Luca, and slow reached out his own hand to pet him. A large smile split his face in two when Luca’s yellow fur tickled his hand, and as suddenly as his fear had come it was gone.
“H-hi Luca … Thanks for letting me pet you …”
Miichi looked up at Green when he introduced himself, sending him a friendly smile as she went to introduce herself and Riku. However, before she could get a single word out, Allen interrupted quickly; if anyone was going to introduce those two, it would be him. So, clearing his throat like he was about to make an impressive speech, he pointed to Riku to draw Green’s attention to him.
“That’s Riku, he’s my twin brother – but I’m the oldest. And that,” he next pointed at Miichi, “is our Sis. Her name is Mitsuki.”
Allen looked around to make sure there was nobody else within hearing distance, and once he was certain there wasn’t, he tugging down on Green’s hand so that the young man would bend down enough he could whisper a secret in his hear.
“The truth is,” Allen whispered, putting a hand in front of his mouth so that no one would know what he was saying aside from Green, “Sis is actually a super hero who saves the world every day. But she took today off to play with us. Isn’t she the greatest? Oh! But it's a secret, so you have to promise not to tell.”
