( i feel like doc wasn’t very popular with the general public, as many of his methods were considered very morally ambiguous. and because of that i could see him being considered as a sort of black - market surgeon as he was more willing to perform certain procedures many other physicians / surgeons wouldn’t. and for that reason, the baron sought him out for his cosmetic surgeries and hired him. )

Joker could only grin awkwardly at Doc’s accusation. But to be dammed with it! He was going to keep this stupid hand and the aesthetic that went with it if he, God forbid, had to miss a show to get it fixed!
